Default Guess the Price!?

I was at the doctor recently and told her that I as at a 2 year plateau---mostly because I didn't have the money to shop for fresh fruits and veggies. They are about 3 times more pricey than a candy bar and a bag of chips!

She suggested I try the Asian Market in town. Me, a caucasion (lesbian) female felt a bit weird about going to the Asian Market and never went. Until last night.

My wife and I went in on a whim. We needed some things and hated spending the $200 we were spending in Whole Foods to get it. $200 is our limit for 2 WEEKS, not 4 days!

We got:
4 granny smith apples
3 pears
3 pomegrantes
1 mango
1 container of vine cherry tomatoes
1 red onion
1 container of tofu
1 large container of FF yogurt
1 English cucumber
1 fresh ginger
1 red pepper
7 bananas

Guess how much we spent? I will post the answer later today. I like guessing games!

Do you mind sharing what county this market is in? I'm in MD and would love to find such a place.

It just goes to show you that it pays to shop around. We have a Grocery Outlet, Costco, Winco, and Food Maxx here in Redding, CA. They are far cheaper than Safeway and Raley's (loads of healthy foods there). Winco has dried goods in bulk that are far cheaper than prepackaged.
