I haven't received my book yet (waiting on shipment from Amozon and it should be here on Monday) It's Day 5 for me now (Friday)and I'm only going on the information I can gather from all the posted messages. I have only been eating fruits and veggies for the last five days- lightly sauteed portabella mushrooms and zuccinni my personal favorite. As you can probably see by the word sautee I used a little EVOO in the process. Reading all of your posts I'm going to now assume that that was a no no. But being down 7 lbs. still seems encouraging to me, especaially since I have no cravings. I'm enoraged to find out that I can also have oatmeal and brown rice on this phase.

I'm just wondering is anyone can tell me if I will have to start all over again with phase 1?
Also is there something about losing muscle during this phase - I am still in a surgical boot from a recent foot surgery but will be hitting the weights tonight.

What ever it takes I'm determined to reach my goal weight.

I can't find my copy, so I guess I'll go buy another. I'm starting it Monday Sister Amy is also going to start Monday, and Jennifer said she will start soon after. She's on vacation right now. We like to try diets together because we can support each other better that way. I'm also hoping there will be other members doing it too, so we can all share recipes and tips

I'm not sure if it's something I'll stick with long term, but I just need a little kick in the pants right now and the Fat Smash diet looks like a good way to do it.

I'm going to start a weekly support thread for it on Monday, hope you'll all join us

I just received my Fat Smash Diet book yesterday and will officially start it Sunday tomorrow. One challenge that I see is phase 1 - detox. I love all types of fruits, but am not a big veggie eater.

Wish me luck and good luck to all of you!

Linda, you can have unlimited amounts of fruit and vegetables, except for white potatoes and avocados. By 'unlimited' he means eat until you are satisified, but don't eat just because you can So you should do fine. As with everything else, you should drink plenty of water. There isn't a quota to fill, just drink what you can because your body needs it and it will help keep you full. Diet drinks should be avoided, particularly in the first phase since we are focusing on whole foods and not artificial foods. We wrote a mini-review of the Fat Smash diet here if it helps. We noted in the review that we found a few things confusing. While we all do the Fat Smash together, I'll make a list of questions and we'll see if we can get an official answer on anything we find confusing.

Ethiah, best of luck to you And don't worry, we'll do our best to help you learn to love veggies
