I followed mine to a "T", but you can always try and see what works for you. I assumed (and, yes, I know what happens when you assume...) that the doc had set up the meal plan with specific protein/veggie/fruit/grain servings at particular times to maximize weight loss. But I'm kind of a stickler for rules, so that really just speaks to my personality more than anything!
