Unhappy I'm sooooooo Frustrated..help!!!

sooooooooooo frustrated....I've gained the two pounds that I lost. I started FS phase 1 last Thursday July 12th and this Friday will be the last day...a couple of days ago I weighed myself cuz I wanted to see and I lost two lbs yeah!!! Then yesterday and today I've gained a lbs each day I haven't cheated nothing...followed the plan exact except that I'm having a problem eating more then 1050 in calories, but I'm not starving myself or anything I'm eating until I'm full and eating often too. Eating everything on the phase 1 list rice included. I don't get it... I'm soooooooooo bum'd I dont' know what to do?

Should I just hang tight and see if it all comes off on Friday or Saturday?

Hang tight and don't weight yourself for a few days. It's nearly impossible to gain a pound in a day or every day, unless it's due to water retention from eating salty foods or hormones. Stick with it and try not to be discouraged! Drink lots of plain water too. If you're doing weight work when you didn't before, you could have gained muscle weight which is good as it will ultimately burn more calories. Take your measurements so that you can compare those in the future when your scale isn't saying what you want it too.

Don't let the scale win!

It is COMPLETELY normal for your weight to go up and down throughout the day. Obviously if you are drinking the water that he asks you to in then that is almost 3 pounds right there in just water.

In EFS he says to weigh in the same outfit (or lack of one) at about the same time once a week. If you don't want to be discouraged from the fluctuations, might I suggest you ask someone to hide your scale from you and under penalty of death are they not suppose to give it back to you except for you weekly weigh in.

I agree and have read the same things - it's normal for your weight to fluctuate from day to day. It really is best to just weigh yourself once a week. What has worked best for me is picking a day and a specific time to weigh myself. I weigh myself on Friday mornings before my shower. Since I've been doing that, I feel confident in what my scale says is accurate ... unfortunately, some weeks!

Hang in there. I just stepped on the scale and found I was up to 150 again! It is also my time of month. I have been following phase I carefully for the last week so I am confident that the pounds will come off soon.

It could def. be the fact that you are close to that time of the month. I know that when i weigh myself next wednesday that there might be no weight loss because I am a couple days away from my period but i hope that when i do get off of my period, my weigh will drop off! don't weigh so often. i used to be an avid weigher...i would weigh myself everytime i stepped into the bathroom, or whenever i was near a scale. its been hard the past couple of days to not look at what i am weighing. but im hoping after these 9 days i will see some results!

Hey all, I'm not fat smashing but just finished the 3 week Extreme Fat Smash. I also was guilty of weighing pretty much everyday and watched the scale go up some days and then down other days. In the end it will go down but you must be very patient. My advice is to stay away from the scale and only weigh in once a week or when you wake up feeling skinnier!

Good luck. You are all doing great. I think I'm going to take a few days off and then join you all with the regular fat smash. I lost 5.2 pounds and 4.5 inches as of yesterday plus TOM started today so crossing my fingers a couple more pounds of water weight will disappear in the next couple of days.

Now I want to lose another 5-10 pounds and I will be one happy lady. EFS sucks the life out of you by the end of 3 weeks. Definitely not enough calories for me and I believe most people. No clue how men do this EFS diet. You ladies are very wise to be patient and do it in a more healthy way with the regular fat smash.

Ok I'm babbling. Back to work for me!

Heya lgordy, you can eat fish on EFS but don't have to. I'm not a fish lover either. You get a choice of 4 oz of lean sirloin, chicken, turkey or fish.

I completed 3 weeks right when that TOM hit but weighed myself today on day 24 and lost a total of 6 pounds so far.
It's a tough diet to stay on because it's low cal and required a ton of exercise. It's not tough because of the food which I'm really enjoying. It's tough because you're energy level dwindles as you get more into it. By the end I was having dizzy spells and stuff. Mind you I had PMS that last week so that would have contributed to my weak feeling.

I would go visit and bookstore and check out the EFS plan first before you decide if you haven't looked at it already
but I'll give you week one day one as an example:

Meal one:

2 egg whites or 1 whole egg
I piece of fruit

Meal two:

I cup of mixed fruit

Meal three:

I small salad w/three tablespoons of low fat or ff dressing

Meal four: 1/2 cup beans with 2 servings vegetables

Plus 100 cal snacks

minimum 55 mins cardio at your fat burning heart rate

You can have one glass of milk per day, unlimited hard boiled egg whites, dill pickles, mini carrots, celery and radishes.

That's the basics for a sample daily menu.

Some days are better than this and some are worst than this. Week three is CRAZY!

But overall, I'm glad I did it and would do it all over again.
I'm taking a 3 day camping break tomorrow and am going to come back and do week one again and see how it goes.

Feel free to ask any questions.

Amanda, I love your enthusiasm!
