Default New to EFS and I am hooked!!!

Hi Everyone!

I am a dieter- it's what I do. I diet on and off, change my methods...etc... Back in Novemeber of 2006, I was an avid poster here on 3fc, and I was counting calories- I lost 16 pounds. I gained back some of that (not all) and now I want to try again. But, I am TIRED of counting calories!!!!

I found Extreme Fat Smash- today is day 3 for me and I am hooked!!! I don't have to count calories, and I am not hungry! I am so excited!

I am a little worried though, because this weekend I am going to a convention with co-workers to New Orleans..... and I know I am going to be tempted. I am packing my food and taking it with me, and I plan on working out in the hotel gym.... but I know it is going to be hard to resist that bread pudding, beniets (sp?- they're like little wonderful donuts....) and all the other great food.... any tips?

What I do in a situation like that is pick just one sweet treat that I'm going to allow myself and then it's easier to resist the others knowing that I'm not totally deprived. I also will lower the rice to 1/2 cup and skip the snacks on the day that I'm having my treat. If possible, I eat the treat in a meal with some veggies or other fiber so I don't get a sugar-high. If you have to eat out, just try to eat a small portion of whatever is closest to what you're supposed to be eating (for example, maybe a 1/2 cup or appetizer size jambalaya or red beans with rice if you're supposed to be eating rice and veg or rice and beans). It's all about eating more healthfully than you would have before and as long as you are exercising and following the diet on the days around when you couldn't be as faithful, it should all work out ok in the long run.

Enjoy your trip!
