Unhappy New to FS and need help!

I began the FS diet on Monday. I have done alright throughout the day but I have a lot of difficulty NOT eating at night, in particular...sweets. Each night I have "cheated" by having 1/4 of a Hershey Bar with almonds. I know I am sabotaging myself, my mind seems to just take over (Like this little devil voice in my head telling me to eat it )
Last night I tried to have some strawberries and cantaloupe as my after dinner snack....it didnt help, I still ate the chocolate.
Has anyone else had similar issues? Anyone know of an after dinner snack that will satisfy my sweet tooth?
Thank you in advance
~A

Hi,

I have a sweet tooth, too. Especially at night. I eat yogurt with grapes or I make a smoothie. That satisfies me. Good luck!

I agree with Sherry.. I also have a sweet tooth.. Chocolate is my weakness.. today Is my 2nd day on phase 1.. And I am craving chocolate, But I have made sure I got some fruit and yogurt in.. So far so good..
I only buy chocolate or sweets for my kids..(as a treat once a day) So only buy enough for them.. As if I buy 3 small chocolates for me and my kids.. I am more likely to eat the chocolate and not an apple or
yogurt.. So I just buy enough for my kids for their after dinner treat..

I should find something what you like eatting..
As that what I did and its working.. But everyone is different in what works for them.

Good luck and welcome...

PS..Oh plus is will get easy... This is my 2nd time on FS... I went off track the 1st time after the 9 days.. I found it hard then.. And found it hard to get back on track.. But this time its easy as I know what to do and what works..

You will find as the days goes on you will find something that works for you..

But it sounds you are sticking to the plan in the day.. And then having some chocolate at night.. Not sure how much but I am sure if its only a little and not to much.. and you working out some, You might still lose some weight.. Just keep going till the full 9 days.. Weigh yourself and see.. That is the only time you will know if the chocolate wasn't a good idea.. and if it wasn't you know not to have much of it.. or if the weigh in was good you know it didn't do much harm..

Just make sure you don't have to much at night..

Try diet hot chocolate!! I think Swiss Miss is the one most ppl agree taste best. Diet or Sugar free is within the p1 guidelines. Good Luck!

oh, make it with water, not milk

Hi A

For me, if I choose to have something in the house that tempts me, it makes it SO tough! In my case, it would be wine. If I had a bottle in the house, it would be disaster. I had to clear all temptations away from me.

I know it is difficult, but I wouldn't have the chocolate around me while I am in Phase 1.......I hope you can resist the desire to stray!

Best of luck on your journey.

I love dipping strawberries in chocolate mousse "whips" yogurt from yoplait. The yogurt is about 150 calories compared to the light 100 calorie ones I usually eat, but its a good splurge when you need a chocolate fix. I think its just like fondue, if not a little better since you know its not going straight to your hips

The banana oatmeal cookies are pretty good too for tricking your brain into thinking its getting a real cookie.
