  • Good Morning All!

    It's snowing!! Well.. mostly just flurries. But, I do see some accumulation on the ground. It's supposed to be this way all day. I might bundle Joshua up and take him out in it for a few mins. He doesn't really know how to "play" in it. We just walk around in it for a few mins. lol. I grew up and lived most of my adult life in SE Texas. Snow was not something we saw there. Joshua is going to expect snow every winter. I am still excited about it.

    Linda~ I'm glad you had a good birthday. Sounds like you did really good eating out. Way to go!

    Ladean~ I understand what you mean about feeling out of control. That is how I felt from Thanksgiving until I started FS back a week or so ago. It's a scary feeling for me. I have an addiction to food. Especially carbs. It's hard to break the cycle of eating lots and lots of carbs. But, once I do.. I am ok. Glad you are back in control and smashing the fat again!


    Menu:

    B~ 1 c. cooked Oatmeal, banana, and cinnamon (bit of splenda) and 1 c skim milk

    S~ Apple

    L~ veggie soup (1 1/2 c)

    S~ yogurt

    D~ 2 cups brown rice, beans

    S~ orange

    64 oz of water
    30 mins of exercise. (WATP)

    Sherry- Have fun with Joshua in the snow, I'm sure it will be a thrilling experience for him! Good to see you're staying on track!!!!

    Bouncy- I'm glad that you had a great Birthday!!

    Ladean- (sigh) I know the feeling of being out of control. I didn't like the fact that I had Mc Donald's. I mean it was good, but afterwards, I questioned myself. Why? It's frustrating. I gave myself a little freedom, and i went overboard. Hang in there, it will get better. It has too!

    I promised the boyfriend, I would let him make me a special Valentine's Dinner (it's our first one alone, at our place) before I jumped back on the Fat Smash. So I gotta wait until Sunday, since we're not celebrating it until either Friday or Saturday, though I might make him do it on Friday evening. That way I can spend all day Saturday healing myself with fruits and veggies! LOL

    Well here's another day to you ladies of Fat Smashing!!! You guys can do it!!!
    Remember summer is around the corner, and we're going to be some hot ladies!!!

    You did outstanding with your dinner last night, girl you are an Inspiration to us all...Day 2 of detox and going strong..had my oatmeal and banana for breakfast, and will eat an apple for snack soon. Having left over red beans and salad for lunch, and dinner is a brown rice stuffed bell pepper and steamed broccoli for dinner with more fruit...Thanks for always being there for me buddie, I just couldn't do it without you, and everyone here as well.

    I didn't list my whole menu just the main foods, I also plan to add yogurt and milk today, and more veggies...Thanks everyone for your support and understanding, SHERRY: I KNOW I have an eating disorder, yes it's better, but I am starting to think that it's something I will have to live with the rest of my life, just like a drug user. It's not a proud thing to admit, but at least we're honest with ourselves, that's the only way to fix things ois to admit theirs a problem to start with.

    day 2 of the snow days.
    I woke up in a pretty bad mood so I did one of my aerobics tapes and was feeling a bit better. I snuck a peek at the scale last night which I shouldn't have because it always makes me either really happy or really sad and I was try so hard not to look. Well it wasn't looking the way I wanted it to. I'm still goign to wait until the 9 days is over for an offical WI.
    so today I am tryign to stay away from the candy as well as the general munchies!!!

    Ladean, thanks for the encouragment, that would be so hard taking care of some one else all the time. do you find time to take care of your self?

  • Well, tonight my bf and gf and I are having a valentines dinner. I am cooking! I am making them some garlic shrimp tossed in pasta with olive oil. I am so jealous! Tomorrow I start phase 2 though, just gotta make it through tonight.

    I have no idea what i'm making for myself tonight. I think maybe some rice 'chilli' and some veggies. I'll make something yummy I'm sure!

    Hope everyone is having a nice valentines day. I haven't celebrated it for years (been with bf for 12 years in march) and we have never really been about it, but our gf is and we feel kind of bad that we're keeping her from celebrating so we're making a romantic dinner. hehe.

    Really struggling today with cravings, so I'm eating way too much fruit to get through the day, but I'll do my best!! I've got some l-glutamine somewhere, which is supposed to help, so I'm off to look for it!!

    Its great to see some new faces here and some old ones too!!!

  • Good Morning!

    Today is day 3 of phase 1. (I started over Tuesday). Dh isn't going to be home this weekend... so I know I will get through detox with no temptations. That sounds bad.. I love him and want him to be home, but he wants to cook food that isn't allowed on detox. He lives in a hotel while he is gone. All he has to cook in is a microwave. So, he really goes all out when he gets home. UGH!

    Jacquie~ HEY LADY!! Good to see you back. I understand what you mean about trying something else. I tried a couple of different things before I got back to FS. Neither one of them worked. FS is the only thing that I have been able to lose on. Don't give into the cravings. Eat as much fruit as you need to. I did the same thing last week. I couldn't eat enough apples.

    Jennie~ I know it is hard to stay off the scale until day 10. I have to admit that I have peeked, too. Not gonna post it, though. I will wait... Is the snow melting? We had flurries all day yesterday.. but nothing stuck. Hope you all thaw out soon.

    lottie~ Wow! Good job on fixing dinner and then making a FS dinner for yourself. That takes will power! Good luck in phase 2.

    I am excited today. IF I get my Income Tax refund in the mail today.. I get to go pick up my "new" car. It's new to me. lol. Actually it is an old car. A 1990 Cadillac Deville. But, it is soooo nice. It is a midnight blue color. Anyway.. I am waiting for a friend of mine to come pick Joshua and me up to take us to the post office. If the check doesn't come today... I guess it will be here Tuesday. Anyway... I should get my car soon.

  • How exciting Sherry!!!! I'll keep my fingers crossed. Cadillacs are real nice. My mom owned a Pink (rose colored) Cadillac Deville. LOL It was so smooooth!!! Have a great weekend everyone, it's a holiday weekend too!!
