Hi there!

E.Z.- Wow! She said yes! He sounds like a chip off the old block, flowers were absolutely beautiful, down on one knee, asking her parents permission, ect. ect. how could she say no!! What a cute couple they make, sounds like beautiful grandbabies when the time is right. Sorry to hear about angie's ankle, tough lady to complete the race with such a sprain. Loved the pics, lots of people, but especially the ocean scene- love the beach the girls are looking well, fluffed and puffed. I am working this weekend in at midnight and up a 4:30am to make sonrise service. I live an hour from church so in order to get ready and get there about 6:30 service starts at 7am. We have Sonrise service, then breakfast then sunday school then morning worship so church till about 12noon then off to work at 2pm busy day! enjoy your holiday!
Pixie- Forgiveness! The others answered your question, The wonderful Grace of Jesus! Thank you Lord!
Campbell- Sorry! not married but agree with E.Z. Pray and put it in the Lord's hands, invite him to different functions, but don't pressure you will drive him away, but live your life for Jesus with him to witness it.Wilma- So So true! God's Grace! He loves us when we are not fit to love!Enjoy dinner at your mom's! How are your parents, they had health issues not so long ago, I can't remember exactly what, we were praying for, and my prayer journal isn't in front of me Pray all is well there! It also pains me to think of Christ dying, but we all have reason to celebrate on Resurrection Sunday! We serve a risen Savior!
Needmot- Welcome!, Dairy Fairy- your question was answered, I believe until the age of consent they will be in heaven with you, if you raise them to love the Lord I am sure they will follow through, Welcome to you as well, Sandid- welcome-
Beth- Jazzercise! Jogging (you go girl) with your brothers sounds like a good way to spend time with them. Which is cool!

wilma12 04-13-2006 09:09 AM

Good Morning!

It's a dreary cool day here today. It's supposed to rain and we're hoping it doesn't. With the spring thaw there is a lot of flooding around here and rain won't help that. Our home isn't affected but a lot of the farm land south of us is. The road we usually take to visit my mom is under water so for Easter we'll have to go another route.

I wanted to share some good news with you. I know some of you have been praying for my son who's been having health issues. Those are improving although we still don't know what's causing the shortness of breath. The doc's are still doing tests. He got his acceptance to college yesterday!!:carrot: :carrot: AND he got a job:carrot: :carrot: :carrot: He'll be working at the golf course that he's been working at most summers. They really like him there and want to hire him despite his knee problems. I'm really praying it works out for him. Thanks to all of you for your prayers.

Sue: Good to hear from you. I get a little envious of people who can go camping. We just don't seem to have the time and we also don't have the equipment anymore. Maybe someday. You asked about my parents. My dad passed away last May (I can't believe almost a year has gone past). My mom is doing great. she gets pretty teary at holidays but other than that she's out there living her life.

crk: DH and I know what it's like to make a big career change. Your DH will do great. Is this change something he's always wanted to do? we're very happy with the decision we made. It even included a move to the city which at the time was a big change for us. Prayers for you!

Gary: You have one amazing wife. I hardly seem to get out to walk and my ankles are just fine. They'd be thinner if I got out there right?? I hope you have a great weekend celebrating Christ's resurrection with your family.

mavnan: That is my all time favorite passage in the Bible. I rely on it a lot. I'm praying that your house sells. Just remember God's timing is perfect.

Beth: I think it's great you did that with your brothers. Family is so important. Mine is spread over this country and we meet maybe once a year. I would love to have a sibling here to do things with.

Sandy: How are you doing?

Dairy Fairy: Only God knows when Jesus will return. Up to that moment we have to remain faithful. Our job is to raise our kids the best way we know and teach them about Jesus. God blesses our efforts. I used to worry about what you are when my kids were little. Now they are grown men who want to serve God. Keep the faith!

Well, better head off to work. It'll be a busy one today!!

If I don't post here again have a Blessed Easter Weekend.

crk05 04-13-2006 02:04 PM

Hi everyone,

Just taking a little time off after lunch to pop in and say hello  It's a beautiful day here, perfect weather to be outside! :sunny: Having a good, busy week. Drowning in paperwork :write: for law school, but I guess that's to be expected. Also having to deal with a lot of running around to fill out forms and talk to committee members about my upcoming graduation. Hassles, but I keep telling myself it will be worth it!

DH has decided to make the career change. It is something he really wants to do, and has been thinking about doing for some time but never had the courage to do until now. He's beginning a training class next week so hopefully everything will work out great :crossed:

I don't have time for individual posting today but I am thinking about you all and praying for you! :grouphug:

The Ring

HI GALS~

I am sending a picture of the engagement ring Ryan gave Nicole.

Angie is on spring break and I was off today so we went and gave blood. I did the red cell donation and Angie did the regular donor, she was so happy because the last few times her and Amanda went their iron count was too low. Then we went to Lowe's and Home Depot to price a new BBQ ~ decking materials ~ and waterfalls ~~ WOW $$$$$

:chef: made :cheese: enchiladas last night  very good!

CHRISTINA~ I hope the paperwork gets easier for you. Pretty sure you're just gonna hafta get used to it though dear!! But think of the $$$$ that will be coming in :carrot: You are gonna :kickbutt: as a lawyer. Congratulations to DH on his courage to try something new. The weather here is :beach: :sunny: also.

WILMA~ I was going to tell you about our weather, but I didn't want to rub it in ;) ~ see above! SUPER :cheer: for your son. Working at the golf course and college has gotta be good. What do you think of Phil winning the Master's again? My son and I have mixed feelings about it, he is from here, so we get a ton of publicity about him all the time ~ he can be quite the pain in the butt, but he does seem to be getting better since he has a few major wins now. my wife is amazing! and if I don't tell her that everyday then :frypan: :kickbutt: :frypan: She does have great legs! just a little short.

MAVNAN~ I hope that things are starting to go better with the house and that the :wizard: jinx is over.

BETH~ I hope the shin splints are healing, that can be a long process.
How  cool to do walking/jogging with your brothers.

AUNT SUE~ I am sending :dust: You need it before the cruise!! So you have that little cushion!! Camping season already!! WOOHOO :cheer: I bet the little one is going to love that, chasing after bugs and stuff!! The race was fun, we do it every couple of years...it is so nice walking along the beach, but with almost 9,000 runners and walkers altogether in the different races we spend most of our people watching. Sounds like a "tough" week-end, our Son:sunny: rise service is at 6am. Not sure if we will go to it this year, Angie has to play bells at the 8 and 10:30 service. Enjoy the egg hunting with Kaylee.

Maundy Thursday service tonight ~ Good Friday tomorrow, reading the part of Peter this year ~ Holy Saturday ~ HAPPY EASTER

THE RING~

doitforme 04-13-2006 11:31 PM

Hi ya!

Wilma- Sounds like all is going well for DS, accepted at college, and a new job, and feeling a bit better, pray that the shortness of breath will be a thing of the past soon, I am sure that can be scary. Glad to hear mom is well it must have been a year ago we were praying for them, wow how time flys, or I am confused and that is always possible.
Christina- Prayers for you and hubbythat all goes well with working toward new careers, and with school, and all
E.Z.- Thanks I can use all the dust you send, been a stressful week at work but start vacation next Tues. We aren't leaving on the cruise until the 26th but I have almost a week off before we go, want to get thecamp site raked ect. Kaylee will be loving the pool when its warm enough that was her favorite spot last year, she would get upset when she was made to get out, even though she was almost blue. The ring is beautifull he done good! The only special service we have is Sonrise! Easter wouldn't be Easter without it, for me. So, I will plan on attending, but then again that is how I will also see my family on Resurrection Sunday, as I am working this weekend and not home. I know Kaylee will have a couple Easter baskets, I am going to get her a big stuffed Duckie, as she loves duckies. I 'll scan apic tom of her with a duckie, to late tonight. just popped in to say hi! I have to leave shortly after church so no egg hunts for me, but I am sure her brother and sister will take care of that one.
I am doing well, things seem to be settling down a little bit now, hopefully that will continue, have had a client home most of the week sick, which causes staffing issues, and my supoervisor is looking to relocate one of my staff, because we haven't had another client take Maryann's place yet, they are still canvasing for a backfill, that will really upset my staff, if one gets temporarily reassigned has not been a great week other then reflecting on my Lord. We set a date for Frankie's burial, its May 13th, weather should be good then, pray that goes well, still waiting on county to pay bill but they say that can take a few months, oh well, it will all work out I am sure. Time for bed, I will pop in tom. to post the pic. Kristie (my niece leaves for her seinor trip tom to Myrtle beach, prayers for safety in traveling appreciated. catch ya tom. Hi to everyone else, God Bless!

doitforme 04-14-2006 10:53 AM

It's morning and here are a couple pics of my China baby (niece) and her brother and sister. Kaylee and her babydoll, kaylee as a ladybug at halloween. Catch ya later! Have a good weekend and Happy Easter! God Bless!

Checkin in

Must say I am sorry for not posting more often but have been very very busy here.

Please note my signature:
Have actually lost 6.4 pounds since March 22 - just about time to update the signature here

Miles walked - it is actualy 64.5 miles and climbing!!

Now about the house. We have been working very hard the past month to get it ready for sale. We put it up for sale on Monday with the understanding that we were working on the flooring. Tuesday we got a call to say someone wanted to look at it at 10 am on Wednesday morning. We had the living room flooring all down and were 1/2 way through the kitchen so we worked late that night to get the kitchen flooring down. So the people came to have a look with the understanding that the hallway just had to be done.

When we got back our sales representative called to say that there was someone that wanted to go through it at 5 pm that same day. The first couple really liked the flooring but house was not really what they wanted. So we put the supper into the crockpot and went out for 5pm. Well at 7:30 pm our rep called to say he was coming over with an offer. It was $7,000 less than we had it listed and they wanted to move in in 2 weeks. Yeah right.

Anyway we put back an offer reducing our price by $500 stating that we needed till the end of May for possession and because the flooring, carpets and painting have just been completed that their offer was a bit silly.

They came back that night with an offer of $3,000 less than what we wanted. So we countered back adding $1,000 to what they said - and they came back saying 'WE WANT IT!'

So, between now and April 21 they will be having an inspection done on the house to make sure no big things have to be replaced and will have their mortgage approved by then. So now we just hold tight that all of that goes through - and assuming it does, then about April 26 we are leaving to go to Kamloops to look for place there for June 1. Then we come back here by beginning of May in order to pack everything up.

When this is all over it will have been about 3 months of work work work in order to move.

But we will be moved effective Norm's retirement date - so even though he is on holidays at this time and working getting all of this done - when he is officially retired he will be able to rest!!

Now the big thing is if we can find a place to fit our budget in Kamloops.

On a sad note to this - our dear son informed us today that he has no intention of moving with us and trying to start over working to being part of the family. He has said that he is happy where he is, would prefer to stay there with his friends and especially his girlfriend - and when he has the time he will see about calling or visiting. Nothing like slapping me in the face. Norm is taking it all in stride not upset really about all of it - but my heart is aching once again - once we move I don't think we will be having much contact with him at all as we don't hear from him much now so when we are 8 hour drive away we really won't hear from him. I just can't understand how he can do this to his sister - she is blood related - but he wants nothing to do with us - have to stop thinking about this as all it is doing is bringing my blood pressure up and tears to my eyes - once we have moved and settled in possibly the pain won't be so bad as we will be surrounded by extended family. But my heart aches for this boy that we raised!!

Anyway we will be busy for some time now looking for a new place to live and packing - but will try to come in fairly regularly to touch base

Have a good Easter everyone

pixiefalls 04-15-2006 09:18 PM

wilma12 04-17-2006 09:08 AM

Good Morning!

I hope everyone had a good Easter Weekend. I sure did. We spent Saturday at my mom's. The weather was gorgeous and the food and company was great. On Sunday we took the kids out for brunch after church and then just relaxed. I did get some walking in too. We clocked the route that I want to take and it comes to 1.7 km. I feel safe on it and don't have to cross any busy streets.

Christina: My prayers are with you and your DH as he makes his big career change and as you prepare for law school. You're going to be busy.

Gary: That ring is lovely! Did you say when the wedding will be? They must be getting excited planning it!! We have a few weddings to go to this summer and fall again so it'll be busy for us. I love weddings so it won't be a big hardship on my.

DH was really happy that Phil won the masters. He's a big fan. We always hope that Mike Weir will get in there again but he seems to be falling back again.

Sue: That little niece of yours is adorable. I hope that I have granddaughters some day and I mean SOME DAY!

I'll be praying for you with your situation at work and that that WillPower Dust will work for you.

Sprout: Congrats on the house sale. Prayers that all will go well with it and your move. It's not easy. Will you be moving closer to family?

Pixie: Good to hear from you. Sure hope those allergies leave you alone soon.

Well, it's off to work again! Hopefully it'll be a good week. For the most part it usually is and I'm learning to cope with the stress my position brings. I plan to take a week off soon so that'll be nice. We want to do some work on the yard and possible build a deck. YEAH!

Have a great day!

EZMONEY 04-17-2006 09:29 PM

Monday Night

HI GALS~

Hi ladies, I hope you all had a great Easter with your families. We took up two pews in church for 8 o'clock service with my son ~ daughter ~ step daughter and their girl/boyfriends ~ me ~ brother ~ my-ex and her sister ~ my nephew ushered and my neice was the acolyte ~ Angie and my sister in law were up in the choir loft the entire time playing their bells.

I joined my brother and sister in law for sonrise service at 6am also. Angie and I usually go to it but since she was playing bells at 8 and 10:30 we thought we would skip sonrise this year ~ WELL! of course I am wide awake at 4am so I just got up and went. Big bonus ~ 2 wafers and 2 cups of wine with 2 services ;)

AUNT SUE~   Have a nice trip! I am sending
To watch over you and your family on your time before and during your cruise! I used to work a lot years ago on Saturdays for "time" ~ that way I could take off early on days my kids had meets~races~games~matches ~ usually my boss paid me for my Saturday work and gave me the hours I left early anyway! I was a lucky guy. Talk to you when you get back! HAVE FUN!!

WILMA~ My future dil got all kinds of compliments on her ring at church! At the moment there isn't a date ~ they have a couple of possible dates ~ they need to work it out with their school schedules and church schedules ~ should be after :thanks1: and before :hohoho: Angie and I are thinking of building a deck this summer also.

CHRISTINA ~ HILARY ~ MARILYN ~ BETH ~ MAVNAN I hope all is well with you and your families.

:chef: Leftovers tonight ~ Scalloped potatoes that I made in the crock-pot for yesterday, spiral ham from Costco, and jolly green giant corn!:corn: ;)

wilma12 04-18-2006 09:02 AM

I just wanted to ask for prayers for my son today. The job he thought he had has fallen through. Now he's back to looking again. It's so discouraging for him and for us as parents. He's such a neat guy but can't do a lot of physical jobs because of his health issues so it's been really hard for him to find work. This job at the golf course was going to be perfect. I know that God has a plan for him but I'm very impatient and want it to happen yesterday. At least he has a goal of school in fall but he cannot spend the summer in the basement.

Thanks for your prayers!
