Even the sore on his foot is healing up finally after months with wounds that wouldn't heal :) And I finally got things straitened out with my bank... and I got my $600.00 back today! :dance: What a mess, but they did a pretty quick job of fixing it so far and have adjusted all the fee's... yeah!!! As for my dear mother... she is still on pain meds till she can get in for the MRI... she has an appointment for May 31st. The Dr. told her she definitely has something there - the bile duct is twice it's size... but they cannot get the machine till the end of the month. I guess there's only the one machine --- how frustrating! I have been calling her whenever I can just to keep in touch and make her laugh. That's part of the reason why I did not come back as I said I would. Please forgive me :sorry: I get overwhelmed very easily these days and just do my best. I also want to share with you that I have made a deal with my hubby to turn off the computer by 8:00pm --- he feels that I am on it way too much and gets concerned for me. I get headaches from eye strain lately... so that limits me just a little bit... (well, EXCEPT on THURSDAY NIGHTS - that's when he has choir practice ;) I'll sneak on then :lol: ). It's not that Joe is restricting me - please don't think that - he is just concerned for my well-being and rightly so... I am on this computer allot! I am so addicted to it --- if I am not on-line I am organizing my files which I have to do again! I have gotten so many lovely graphics and siggys these days :D Or I'm playing with the Paint Shop Pro I have (I really want to lean how to make my own graphics, but no success there... YET!)... I had a Wedding Shower to go to Sunday and we have a First Communion this coming Sunday and we have gone to Birthday's in between and some coming up... so I am making allot of cards these days! That is time consuming on the computer too, not to mention the embellishing I do afterwards on them... fun too. *~*~* Michele, Are you leaving soon? Oh... just saw your post... you are leaving on Memorial Day... cool! He has been walking with me every other day still :crossed: I have gotten in 27.5 miles in so far for May... not nearly what I was last month, but I have been consistent with walking. I honestly don't think I will hit 50 miles this month, but will give it a try ;) You have done a marvelous job Margie!!! :bravo: GIRL!!! :bravo: I STILL haven't done much with my gardens... they need weeding so bad!!! I started to get some done, but with all the rains lately they are shooting up like crazy :dizzy: The perennials are coming along real nice - they love all this rain, but I have annuals to put in. Not to mention that Joe & I have a garden to make yet for veggies :o We are beginning to think it's not gonna happen this year at this rate :( The recital sounded great! *Sleeping Beauty* They do take allot of time to do, but they are so rewarding... glad to hear that it all went well. Hi, guys! I'm very tired this evening, so I'll keep it short. I've been having health problems lately and I would appreciate your prayers. I had thyroid cancer (very tiny) 2 years ago and had most of my thyroid removed. Well, now the small part that was left is enlarged and my dr. thinks there may be cancer again. I have to go in for a scan next week and I will find out the results the following week. I have been doing ok, but tonight I feel sad and scared. I know that keeping a positive attitude is a big part of the battle, but I am having a hard time doing that tonight. Please pray for me and my family.

Jenni- I am up lifting you to the Lord, prayers for health and comfort during the waiting phase, sometimes I think that is the worst part the waiting to have a test, and then the waiting to hear how it came out. I pray forgood results and that the Lord will give you peace and comfort during the wait.
Sunny- so happy to hear your dh/dd are feeling better- continued prayers for mom, and joe's bp- I am leaving for camping tom. rain or shine. I am sick of rain, it has pretty much rained everyday for more than a week, sounds like EZ needs to get busy sending us some sun, so we can enjoy memorail day weekend. Lateralus- have an awesome trip, prayers for safty traveling Mitchy- prayers for safety traveling and for a wonderful time with family and friends. I am doing great. My sister got notified about the adoption we should be traveling to China in 5-8 weeks, the baby's Chinese name stands for intelligent star, she is 10 months old, as soon as I get apic I will share. I haven'e seen her yet, my sister is suppose to e-mail me it. Well gotta run going to buy steak that is on sale at price chopper, having steak friday night to celebrate bil birthday, his favorite meal. Happy birthday Jackay! I am home today, for awhile, a lot to do. Guys are coming to put up a new awning.. :cp: shade for the graduation party. We tore down the patio about a year ago, termites and age, just never figured out what we wanted. This should be good for us, it is fairly large and retractable...even has a motor so Ryan won't have to go outside to roll it up...just push the button at the sliding glass door ;) ...Now! I'm not saying I don't trust my son to watch the house while we are in Washington, I mean he is smart enough right?...Magna Cum Laude...it's just, well, when it comes to "household" things...well...ah..let's just say if it doesn't involve some type of ball or other sporting equipment...well, he is "CLUELESS!" :lol: Sometimes I wonder :yes: if he doesn't bring someone in to feed and care for the dogs when we leave for a week at a time.. awning guys here...... |
SUNNY So glad Joe finally put the reins on you ;) I know exactly what you~Joe~we all mean about the computer habit! Sometimes I have to mention to Angie that she needs to "sit" in the living room while I watch television instead of sitting in her office at her computer ;) . Sometimes I wonder how skinny I would be if I gave up computer time for exercise...sometimes, I think that...but then I come to my senses :lol:
As far as my "scope" goes...other than the pain in the you know what for the prep work...it was easier on me than the TEETH cleaning I had the day before...I HATE to have my teeth scraped! I get cleanings 4 times a year, since my gum surgery several years ago...I honestly would rather have a root canal done that a cleaning! But then I think my dentist is awesome..he knows that I don't like novacaine...the numb feeling iritates me...so he does what he can without it...he knows my pain level...I have had tons of work over the years and never left with severe pain or discomfort...he does say I have a high tolerance...cool :cool: Glad to hear your dad is better, PRAYERS for your mom's health! Speaking of Vitamin D~ did you see the new tests that some people may be getting cancer because they USED sunscreen and it screened out the sun's natural Vitamin D? Weired. Taped CSI but haven't seen it yet..sooo busy...heard it was good. Like Carrie still...still think Bo is going to win...but I think both kids will be fine. Missed the last Survivor...we were gone, like the outcome though. SUE You should be warming up by now ;) Such a cool name for the baby...intelligent star...just like her Aunt Sue :yes: :queen: :yes: Have a great time when you go. I hope the :rain: gods are good to you on your camping trip. Enjoy your dinner with your bil. Well, Lara's team won yesterday in their game...and my alma mater won their play-off game, so both teams are in the semi-finals, playing other teams..if both win on thursday they will play each other for the county championship in their division...large schools...each school has almost 4,000 students. Had a birthday party for my neice after the game yesterday, Ron's sister...she turned 10. Well, need to get going.......... Have a great day ladies! |

You said you know where Huntington is, are you from there? :?: I now live about 20 minutes or so from Marshall U. I know what you mean also about times being hectic, DD gets out of school on Friday and we are leaving from school to go to the beach :cool: and I haven't even started packing or cleaning out the car! Tonight hopefully I can get going, tomorrow nite have several meetings and she has tennis, youth group, etc.

I know also how addicting the computer can become, especially when it's something you enjoy doing. ;) Joe's BP is still pretty good range, some people just have a naturally higher BP than others, when I was skinny (long time ago), mine was naturally low. 27.5 is still good mileage for the month and hey, you still have several days left to get some more, - keep up the good work! In between raindrops, or so it sometimes seems, I have now got six of my planters filled and one large container, then I've also done the hanging baskets and porch boxes, with some more to go. I'm going to put my few veggies in containers this year and try that out, get tired of mowing around them! Need to get some more dirt and finish the remainder of my containers for the back yard. . . oh well, after the beach. :cool: Did you hear Bo sign acapella last week on AI? That was awesome! Carrie was off a little in the final song with Vonzell, don't know if that will count against her. Last year was Fantasia but I was for Dianna Degarmo, thought she was much better and you don't really hear about either one of these girls. . . wonder why? I agree though that you do hear more about Clay than Reuben, of course I think that had a lot to do with the genre of music that Reuben chose perhaps?? :?: We'll keep a look out for the siggy, - that's sweet, wasn't even expecting it. Well hello everyone!!! :wave: It has been a long time since I have been able to post. I tried to catch up but couldnt. :stress: I did see there were some new people who joined the group!! Welcome. :flow1: I have been MIA for awhile. My husband and I received the news the same day that we were both being laid off in June. :( June 15th for me and June 30th for him. So we have both been out making connections and getting interviews. We both have interviews tomorrow PTL!! God already had something in store for us! We have not had any worries, just peace from day one. :cb:
May 3rd was my daughters birthday then May 20th was my husbands and now my dads was yesterday. This month has been full of birthday celebrations. :hat: :flow1: :flow1: It is in the upper 70's today and supposed to be in the 80's tomorrow and the rest of the week. So I am sending all of this wonderful sun out to you guys!! I see that alot of us are going on some really nice vacations in these upcoming weeks and months. I am going to Ghana, Africa with my sisters July 18th -July 30th! I am so excited!! :yes: This is something I have wanted to do for so long. God really opened the doors on this one!! The hardest part is leaving my family for that long. I have never been away from any of them for more than a day. :( So that is going to be interesting. As well as seeing how my husband handles the kids while I am away. :tantrum: Summer is coming and school is almost out!! I cant wait. My kids and I go to the beach every single day in the summer. :beach: I love it and they really enjoy the water. This will be the first summer that the baby (Xea) will really get to enjoy the beach. I can't wait to hold her, we go in 5-8 weeks, the info said she can sit up, roll over, she talks some, and she can be obstinate, which tells me she recieved more attention then most, Her blood work is all normal and is suppose to be very healthy. She is a cutie. Thanks for all you do for everyone else, you are sweet sweet lady, especially taking time, during all that going on, to find signatures for everyone. God special blessings on you!

Haven't been home much, our son-in-law got hurt in his softball game Sunday night, he slide for home, and he went one way and his ankle and foot went the other.He has a third stage hit to his ankle, and tore his tendons in his calf, so he will be hopping around for a while, so I have been helping out with watching the kids, getting Des ready for school, cleaning up the house, as our daughter isn't home too much with driving him here and there. Ron was off today so we went to the Scholastic Books Warehouse sale. We always buy the kids these books from school they both love to read, and at this sale everything was 50% off, so we got $67 worth of books for $31. There next sale is in December and I am already looking forward to it, great for Christmas.
Sunny: So glad to hear your Dad is feeling better, it takes a load off ones mind just to hear them say that, good job on getting your money back, I'm still remembering your family, especially your mom and dad in our prayers, it's so hard to wait for tests. My dad is very content to be at home, he is much more relaxed as he can get up and do what he wants, when he wants, I'm just placing him in Gods hands and know He will watch over him until He calls him home. Sunny have you heard of a product called Salt Sense? This might help Joe kick his salt intake, we have given up using any extra salt in our cooking but if something just has to have some, this is what we use, you can't tell the difference, I also only eat either reduced or sodium free crackers and saltines, I have turned into a label reader, I figure every little bit helps. No real plans for Memorial Day, Ron has to work, don't know if the shop will be busy or not, and later we'll B.Q.Enjoy your week-end and hope you get your garden planted. Hey, y'all! I hope everyone is doing well. I've been busy (of course!) the past couple days, cleaning the house yesterday :) and took the kids to the beach today :beach: :sunny: . Been busy all day working on things for the party...I'm in charge of the beer! ;) I had to sample some to make sure it was good. The ex came over and her, my neice, and Angie whipped up 120 cheese enchiladas for tomorrow, tacos will be made tomorrow. Lara, Amanda, Ron and I did outside stuff, yard work, chair cleaning. Ryan was at the CIF track finals...several of his girls qualified for the state meet in the jumps! that is 2 years in a row with different schools some of "his" kids have gone to state...in California that is quite a honor for the amount of athletes.

Sunday a.m. and i have so much to do today around the house, then have to take Simba by 4 pm to be boarded (pray for me cuz i already dread the thought of her not being here tonight), then i leave for the airport around 5:30-6:00 tomorrow, i have to go drop my car off, get a shuttle to the airport and i get into la around 11, get my rental car and then to my folks house. We're having a BBQ/Birthday party for my family friend Sandy, should be nice to relax with the family. I'm so excited about leaving but anxious too. I shouldn't be on here, but wanted to say Happy Holiday! Remember our wonderful military men and women, all those we've lost and those that are serving today. Hi everyone! I just wanted to thank you all so much for your prayers. I have really felt them. My dad had a very severe stroke and was paralyzed completely down his left side. He passed away early Thursday morning. He was lucid for the first 4 days and I wouldn't trade them for a minute. We were able to communicate with him and basically say our good byes to him. The last 2 days he could communicate with a wink and hand squeeze. I feel blessed to be with him the last week of his life. It was also a real blessing to be with my whole family for the time also. It was a real time of bonding. I did a lot of mourning in the hospital. The hardest part right now is watching my mother. She misses him so much and is having a hard time. She is a strong person and I know she'll be all right but that doesn't make her hurt any less. If I could ask for more prayers it would be for her. She is going to have to go through her years of firsts without dad.

We're not doing much today, my husband has to work today. :( and we all went to a birthday party yesterday and I did laundry. :dz: We might go to the mall or somewhere later just to have something to do. :shrug: I like lazy days!
