Happy Memorial Day

HI LADIES

Taking just a few minutes to check in. The graduation party went well, had plenty of food, drink, and fun. Over 60 friends and family came and I think everyone left in a good mood. Spent most of the day cleaning up and resting.

WILMA Again..my prayers.

MICHELE You came in to great weather today didn't you  Have a great little vacation.

Jen Lazy days are  cool!

SUNNY I see you are keeping your "promise" with Joe. Hope you both had a great week-end. Angie and I finally saw the CSI finale...great show, intense.

SAMI Great INDY 500! I am sure Danica has been the talk of your town. I watched the entire race this year, usually I miss part of it because of church. My grandpa always went to the time trials..wonder what he is thinking in heaven about it. Hope all is well with grandbaby and the kids.

Well, Angie is setting leftovers out... :hun:

Have a great week everyone...Gary

Hello my Friends,

Wilma, I am so very sorry to hear of your Dear Father's passing... be comforted in knowing that he is now is the Presence of our Lord and no longer in pain or discomfort. I will hold your Sweet Mother in my prayers for I just cannot imagine what pain she is suffering w/o her husband to share life with. My heart goes out to your Dear Mother, to You & your family and all those touched by your Dear Father's life. (((Warm Hugs))) for you!

Gary, Your pictures are great, as usual... You have such a beautiful home! I can see Angie's gorgeous roses all in bloom in the pic of your new garage doors - which look great, by-the-way. And looks at your veggies!! Make me ill why don'tcha :p !! I cannot believe how big yours are already and ours are still in pots waiting to be planted... uggg!

I am so glad to hear that your party went off so well... like I doubted it for a minute ;) I bet you are so glad to have your home it all back to normal and all cleaned up again... and look at all the NEW things you got in the process :D The parties are always fun, but the day after is collapse-time :faint: and catch-up with yourself time  Hope you and Angie have caught-up ;)

Yes... all the finale shows were INTENSE this year! Do you watch *NCIS*??? I was STUNNED!!!!! And my jaw is still hanging! That is such a great show with all the characters - I will miss Kate - in the show! If you have never seen *NCIS* you have been missing a great show! The banter that goes on between all the character is fantastic!! That's why missing any one of them (the characters) is a real bummer! I am hoping that when they come back for the new season... that someone was DREAMING and it didn't really happen! And if you have never seen the show... you are now very confused :dizzy:

Well Michele, I see that you have left for CA... "watch out CA...!!!" I hope you are having a great time!!!

Jenni, We had a quiet day yesterday too :goodvibes and loved it! Joe & I played a Scrabble game after breakfast on or porch (I WON! :D - it was close though! Scores were: 284-Joe and 306-me ) and then went out into the gardens to weed at around 1pm after it cleared and we knew it was done raining. We didn't get in our potting or the veggie garden, just not enough time in a day. BUT we are going to have some nice sunny weather for the next few days, so we'll get it done soon. If we don't we'll not have any harvest :o !! We had grilled chicken (marinated in Zesty Italian Dressing) and corn on the cob, served with a freshly tossed salad for dinner :T It was 8pm by the time we ate, so no dessert. It was a lovely, lovely day! Did you go to the Mall??

Your New sig looks adorable on you :) I am so glad you like it and had no problems posting it... enjoy!!!

Margie, How was your holiday weekend? I bet you are up there in miles now!! Not me... I am only at 31.25 Miles so far and only have today left. I hope to get in at least 40 next month - it was just a crazy month for us in May! We had the best time at the Birthday and Communion parties we went to on Sunday. My niece has a brand new Country French style home (valued at aprox $650,000.00) to host her party at - it wasn't even finished... Beautiful home!!! And here I sit in my humble home (of aprox $60,000.00 - ) But we had a wonderful visit with everyone and we loved our time home together yesterday! It was so nice... even the phone was quiet! We watched 2 movies: *The Aviator* and *National Treasure* both great movies! We watched *National Treasure* 2ce and I am not a Nick Cage fan, but it was a great movie! Much like the *Raiders of the Lost Arc* films.

Teel, I have a siggy for you sweetie!! I HOPE you will like it! I will post it today in a PM... look for it, okay :sunny:

*~*~*

I do hope that all you other CER's that are MIA are doing well and
had a wonderful weekend with your friends and family... please DO come
back and post soon, letting us know that all is well with you! :flow1:

*NCIS* is a great show, isn't it! I KNOW that Gary would love it too - especially because of his sense of humor - he would enjoy the banter that goes on between the 6 of them (6... right?)... I really do hope that Kate's death was a dream :crossed:

I am so glad you like all my graphics :queen:... it IS fun to be able to express myself through them :^:

Have a super day!

Wilma~I am so sorry for your loss. :grouphug: Please know that you and your family are in prayer...

Trying to catch up but it'll take me awhile. Yes i made it to not so sunny CA! It was nice but overcast yesterday, but there's a nice breeze. Got in with a little trouble renting the car....long story....got my mom a dozen roses for her trouble and cuz she deserves them, then we had our family friends over for a bbq, including grilled vegetables (yum), we had a great time.

Today i am doing laundry, made my dad some breakfast (he likes my egg breakfast sandwich), having some coffee and maybe going to lunch with my friend and doing some shopping and i may go get a pedicure.

mnewton 05-31-2005 01:44 PM

Good Morning!

First I would like to let Wilma know that I am so sorry to hear about her fathers passing. You and your family are in my prayers. :bubbles:

I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. Ours was so packed with festivities. :beach: Friday, I took my girls 3 years old and 1 year old to the beach because it was so hot outside. So we packed a picnic basket with our "dinner" and headed to the water. They played in the water until 8pm. I was trying not to get in there but my 1 year old kept pulling me towards the water because she wanted me to go in with her. She is so cute so I couldnt tell her no. So in I go with all of my clothes on!! Soaked head to toe. But it was alot of fun playing in the water with my girls. Then Saturday morning my son and my daughter had tap practice. Saturday afternoon was their show at the zoo. It turned out to be really nice. It was hot though (about 89 degrees)! Then off to a BBQ until around 10pm. Sunday we went to church and then to a BBQ at my dads house until about 9pm. Monday, another BBQ until about 8pm and then home to get ready for work and school today. It was a packed but fun weekend. :dizzy:

Sunny D - Yes, God is so good!! I have another interview today at 3pm. The one last week went very well so we will see what comes from that. God knows and we are trusting Him! I am so excited about going to Africa!! Yes, my mother and his mother are both here. I am very aprehensive about leaving my kids. :stress: Not that their dad cant take care of them, but I just have never been away from them and this is such a long time. When I think about that part of it I start to feel sick. :( I know they are in good hands. All of my family reside here in Washington so my DH has plenty of help and they already said they will help him as much as he needs. So that is a wonderful blessing. You watched National Treasure last week? My son and I watched it too! We loved it! I am really not into those kind of adventure movies but that one was really good!

doitforme - What a cute baby!! Oh my goodness! How blessed you and your family are to have her. And of course how blessed she is to have you all! I can tell she is about to be SPOILED!!! I am a firm believer that you cannot hold, love or spoil a child too much!! Watch out shopping malls!!! :D

EZ - What nice pictures. Love your garden. I have always wanted to plant some fruits or veggies. I tried when I was younger and they turned out horrible. I can keep a plant alive in my house. All fake plants are welcomed!! ;)
So your girl Carrie made it on American Idol! I was really hoping that it would be Bo. I am not into rock and roll but I really liked his style. But Bo and Vonzell will still get recording deals I think.

Well, gotta go for now! Will check in again later!

Myisha

mnewton 05-31-2005 03:51 PM

Great news!! I was just offered a permanent position with King County working with the at-risk youth of Seattle. This is something that I have wanted to do for years and the Lord just opened the doors for me. I just went on the interview on Thursday and was offered the position today! Now anyone who works for the State or the County knows it takes forever (at least 2-3 months) to get hired once you have gone on the interview! 3 days is unheard of! God is good!! Thank you so much for the prayers, they have been answered!!! It is also quite a bit of a pay raise as well!!

Myisha

Tuesday

HI GALS

Not too much time to chat right now, but I wanted to check in. Tonight is the night we are supposed to take Juan out for steaks and beers...Ryan wants to change it until tomorrow because of coaching, so he told me he would try to get ahold of Juan from school today...haven't heard yet.

AMANDA called me from Nashville a few minutes ago...she arrived at the conference safely and (as much as I am so glad her boyfriend went with her) so relieved...her professor has already contacted her to make sure she is safe and her "boss" from her honors project with the NAVY has already contacted her to make sure she is OK and invited her out to dinner with several other people from the research company...the one she will be employed with next week. She said it is HUGE and that her name is in the front of the program with her project info...I know it is a little confusing...she was sent by her college to this international conference as a reward for her honors project....her professor too...then the research company working with the NAVY is presenting her project (even though it failed!)... ;)

SUNNY I do not watch NCIS...my buddy in Washington NEVER misses it and says it is his favorite show...for some reason Angie and I just never have...I will start watching the reruns!!! We were into LOST but missed the last 3 shows...so not sure what to do now! So cool you and Joe playing Scrabble together. We are glad to be "over" the party... a ton of work...but my kids deserved the recognition for their hard work! Thanks for the compliments on my house, we love it (other than the stairs)...it is just a simple tract house....worth close to your neices...BUT! I am sure in OHIO that you get much more for the $$$ than California! Ron already has some tomatoes growing!

SUE Well, as usual you posted to us...BUT DIDN'T tell us what you have been doing! NAw, your new neice is the LUCKY one to have you!! Reba and Rylee are locked out of the veggie area...so....as long as Ron closes the gate his veggies should be OK...but...they do want in there ;)

MICHELE OVERCAST?...humm, well come south about 60 miles...it is gorgeous! Have a great vacation!

MYISHA Great news on the job! I watch COPS...so I KNOW that you will be busy there in King County!! Sounds like you had a great week-end! Any of the final 3 would have been fine for me on American Idol! I loved Vonzel and Carrie...each for their own individual style, I didn't like Bo..until..he sang w/o the music behind him...then I became a fan, GUTSY!

Well, Ryan just called and steaks and beers for tomorrow...so I gotta make dinner for Angie....nothing like a :hun: hungry wife hitting the door after a long day at work...

Prayers for all, WILMA ....Prayers!!

Mitchypoo 05-31-2005 08:05 PM

Wow, Myisha, that is awesome!!!

jen1teacher 05-31-2005 10:26 PM

Congratulations, Myisha, on the job!!! :cheer: God is good!

We didn't get to the mall yesterday, we decided to have a "cook-out" instead, so we went to the grocery store to buy what we needed/wanted. The girls then went shopping with Nana and the boys and I stayed home and watched Spongebob. Just another lazy day! :D What else do you expect during summer break?

Today I thought I'd start potty training our youngest. I've been talking about this with him for a couple weeks now and we even bought Shrek and Nemo "big boy undies" that he picked out. :) He is so bright and our others were so easy to train, I thought it would be a breeze with him. :dancer: Well, it didn't go as well as I had hoped. He sat on the potty several times, but never went. I never managed to catch him at the right time. I know, it is only the first day, but I thought he would go at least once on the potty. :?: Maybe tomorrow.

Oh, well, I've yacked enough. :blah: I hope everyone is doing well. Talk to y'all later!

wilma12 06-01-2005 09:00 AM

Good Morning!

It's another dreary day here in what is supposed to be Sunny Manitoba. It was beautiful the past couple of days but today its rainy again.

I've been laying pretty low these days. I am still trying to catch up on missed sleep from last week. It's been busy at work so the days are going by quickly for which I'm thankful.

I went shopping after work yesterday to buy casual pants for our casual Fridays at work and to my surprise I fit into a size 12. I have NEVER been a size 12 as far as I can remember. What fun!

I want to thank you all for your prayers and support. I have really felt them and needed them. I thank God for this great bunch of people.

Have a great day!

Jackay 06-01-2005 09:40 AM

SunnyD thank you for the warm birthday wishes. Florida was great--just that my Dad has not been..He's been in and out of the hospital ever since. Between that and work I have not had the time to come and update much. Plus I haven't been as good on my diet as I should be. Even though I haven't gained, I haven't lost any either. :-/

I hope everyone is doing well here. I miss all of you!

Good Morning Everyone!

I have been trying to get our picture up so you can see my family. I finally have one but I am not sure how clear it is going to be.

Here it is. My husband is Melvin, my son Anthony (9 yrs), my daughter Niya (3 yrs) and my daughter Xea (1 yr). This is last years Easter picture. We havent ordered this years yet. So my kids are older now.

Mitchypoo 06-01-2005 01:13 PM

Hi all!

My dad made me instant oatmeal this a.m. Peaches and Cream...isn't that sweet! I called and Simba is doing well and they love her, so i feel better about that.

Going on my car ride today but i'm actually looking forward to it. I have a nice car with a sunroof and a cd player and i love to drive. 3.5 hours of solitude, maybe i'll get some good prayer time in too.

Oh, look what my next door neighbor had at their house yesterday... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...fewpics145.jpg There were 2 of these things on the hill. My parents live on a dead-end and there are oil hills behind them, perfect area for these critters.

Mitchypoo 06-01-2005 01:15 PM

OH, MNewton, what a beautiful family!! You are gorgeous! Your DH is handsome and the kids are ADORABLE!! Thanks for sharing that!

Mitchypoo 06-01-2005 01:33 PM

Here's a pic of my Mamacita...http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...o/CAM_0088.jpg and here is my brother...http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...o/CAM_0086.jpg

mnewton 06-01-2005 01:34 PM

Gary - Yes, COPS shows it all. It gets kinda wild at times around Seattle. The bad thing is that the kids are worse than the adults!! I am praying that God will use me to show them that there is something better out here and how they are living is not as good as it gets. I do believe that God has put me in this position to minister to our youth and give them a hope that they can fulfill their dreams. The good thing is that this program is strictly voluntary so the kids that I am going to be working with are looking for something more. I cant believe I missed the last show!! I heard Bo did great!! I have the same top three as you. I think they were the best.

Jackay - :( Sorry to hear about your dad. I am praying that he gets better. I know you are really enjoying that Florida sunshine. I wish we had some here. It is rainy and cold again!! :tantrum:

Michelle - :yikes: Oh my goodness!! That snake is huge!! I am so afraid of snakes and just looking at that one on the screen really freaked me out! How in the world did you get so close to it? You are a brave woman! :smug:

Wilma - Congrats on the size 12!!!! Way to go!!! Keep up the great work!! :cheer:

Jen1teacher - Summer break already? My son doesn't get out until June 24th! He cant wait to start the summer festivities! Potty training? How old is your youngest? I was just talking to my mom today about starting the process with mine too. I have found that each kid is different. I thought my son was going to go to high school in diapers!! It took him so long. He was 3 years old before he was completely potty trained. Then my daughter was just 25 months when she was completely potty trained. I am hoping that my youngest daughter will get it quickly too. She is 16 months and already telling me when she has gone and needs her diaper changed. My mom says that when they can tell me to change them they need to be going to the toilet!! So I am going to get some pretty undies today and see how she likes it. We got her this really cute toilet called "A Throne of Their Own". Isnt that cute?!! :D It is shaped like a throne and has a sensor that plays music when she goes. Boy the stuff they have for the kids today. I just got a book and some balloons when I went!! Oh well, good luck on the training!!

Mitchypoo 06-01-2005 01:41 PM

I'm sorry if i scared anyone with the pic, i didn't mean to. I'm not afraid of snakes really although i wasn't willing to pick it up or anything. Pretty sure it wasn't poisonous but i'll only hold them if it's someone's pet. K, have to go get ready and get on the road. My dad got some books on tape for me too, he's so sweet today....

mnewton 06-01-2005 01:52 PM

Oh no Michelle dont be sorry. I am just a big ole baby!! :bb: Thank you so much for the compliments. I just love those kids!! The big kid too (my husband)! ;)

jen1teacher 06-01-2005 04:36 PM

Mitchy - Snakes are scary, but seeing them in pics is okay, real life is when I get freaked out! I am having to be braver since we now live in Florida and snakes seem to be everywhere, or maybe I'm just so aware of snakes being around that I notice all of them! None of my neighbors seems to worry like I do about them. I've heard several people talk about finding snakes in their houses, I think I would just move... leaving all the furniture and everything! :fr:

Myisha - What a beautiful family! Will is 2 and a half. He still hasn't gone on the potty today, but he didn't like having wet Nemo undies either! He actually hid in is closet when he wet them this afternoon, so maybe he is making progress in a small sort of way!

Yes, our summer break began Friday, but we started school Aug. 1. I think I like ending school Memorial Day weekend instead of going through the end of June even though we go back to school sooner.

I go for the thyroid scan tomorrow morning. They called to remind me (like I could forget!). The nurse said they will inject me with some type of contrast. I'm not looking forward to that, especially since my arm is already bruised from bloodwork yesterday. I honestly hope I am doing all this for nothing!

EZMONEY 06-01-2005 07:30 PM

HI GALS

Taking my buddy Juan to dinner soon....just checking in.

MYISHA I'll be sneaking over to babysit those little ones ;) ...such cuties! You are beautiful and so is your family! I know you will do a good job with the youth...I have a prayer request along those lines for not only you but EVERYONE ...my wife, Angie, a 6th grade teacher, was assualted today by an 8th grader....she was thrown up against the wall and severly cursed at...all because she told him he needed to remove the hood of his sweatshirt from his head....a school rule! He was taken to juvy and she will press charges...this kid has had issues before but no one could do anything because he has mental problems and was basically untouchable (school doesn't want to be sued)...this turning of the head was not good for the child or the people around him...maybe now someone can help him if they "lock" him up. Angie is doing OK for now, she did go to the doctor because she has had neck pain since the incident this morning...hopefully nothing serious, just a precaution. From what she has told me other teachers and students are afraid of this kid.

MICHELE Cool snake! Sure can tell your brother is YOUR brother! Have a fun drive.

JEN Good luck on your scan.

WILMA I am glad to see things are easing a bit for you...it will take time I know, I lost my father at the age of 54 when I was 34...tough. Prayers.

JACKAY Glad to see you back...prayers for your father .

Well, gotta go get ready for dinner...Gary

HAVE A GREAT THURSDAY EVERYONE!!!

doitforme 06-02-2005 09:42 AM

Hi!

I am doing great, been very busy. I had to work a double on Memorial day, then yesterday I worked days then had prayer meeting int he evening after praying and short bible study took our youth group outside to play volleyball, which other than bug bites went well. We try to do some kind of fun thing game ect. which keeps the youth coming and helps them bond better. We have a good group of kids though. I have to do the church bullitin for sunday after I post, then off to work, where I take a client for a physical, then off to camp tom. My niece's prom is tom. so will pop in and see her before she gets off on her date, then helping my bil. He is removing the passenger seat in my r.v. and making a box to fit up to the other seat, to use as another bed, so I do'nt have to put the table up and down, when I have friends camping. Which will be great. Since I never move it it stays on site, I will save the seat in my storage shed and then If I want I can have it put back in. I haven't been good about eating tend to eat bad when on the run, so need to improve that. But over all doing great. Still awaiting news of when we go to China, probably in July. It will be fun I am sure! Especially bringing back such a cute little priceless souvenier.
E.Z. - That about does it, how was dinner, love steak, not much on beer, rather have a vodka and tonic Poor angie, she must have been scared, does the school give them any training for defending themselves. We are given an approved scip training for dealing with aggressive clients. So, you know how to break a hold that they have you in, all though doesn't always work, and my clients aren't aggressive so never use it. But nice to know how! Prayers her neck is o.k.
Sunny- Yes! Camping this weekend too!, I have fortunately managed to get at least part of the each of the last 3-4 weekends off, so have been camping alot. I made privacy drapes for my screen house that attaches to the camper, so its like haveing another room when I want it. NCIS- mark Harmon and not sure of the other guys name - investigator that is always after kate, are easy on the eyes anyway, but love the show.
Mitchy- Hope the weather improves, and you can open the sunroof and enjoy that weather. Nice pics of mom and brother, snake- yikes
Myisha- spoiled like the other two, love my nieces and nephews!
CONGRATS ON THE NEW JOB! There will be lots of opportunities to minister I am sure.
Jenni- Prayers for test, and that all will be well. Good luck potty training as well!
MNewton- Good luck training as well, neat potty by the sounds, give added incentive to use it. Nice pic of you and your family what a pretty lady.
Wilma- congrats on Size 12 , you are doing great!
Jackay- can sympathize I haven't been good either, have to get back in the swing and do better.
Well gotta go, Hi to all others and mia's gotta do the bullitin, then get ready for work! see ya

mkay 06-02-2005 10:02 AM

 Wow...I've been away too long. I scanned over the posts but didn't get to read all of them.

mnewton...Whew...lovely family. You and hubby are quite a hansome couple. The kids are adorable. :spin:

mitchy...great pics as well. How old is mom and brother. My brother died when he was just born and would've been 55 ish or so. MUCH older than me. Anyway, after that...7 girls. :dizzy:

Sunny...thanks for wondering where I have been and I'm not feeling yuky...this week anyway.

I had a nice holiday and so far beautiful weather this week. I weigh in tonight. Hope it will be better than 2 weeks ago. I didn't move my tracker up because I just didn't feel like hasseling with it. How's that for not motivated. :o

I need to update my list of posters "all of us who post here." Welcome, if I missed anyone.

One year from today, my oldest DD gets married. It seems like a long time, but I know that time will fly.

Gotta get to work so I'll see y'all later!

doitforme 06-02-2005 10:12 AM

Hi there, missed ya! We posted at the same time. Wow DD getting married! You'll be busy planning I am sure. God bless!

mkay 06-02-2005 12:05 PM

doitforme...actually, the w.man said sunny and 80 today and now it's starting to cloud up. hmmmm. We are supposed to have rain and possible severe weather on sunday. I like being home and inside when it's raining. I'll be in the basement making jewelry and doing laundry.

mnewton 06-02-2005 12:47 PM

Good Morning!!!

Gary - Thank you! Did I hear babysit? You know we dont get that too often, especially with 3 kids. Oh my goodness!! I pray that your wife is okay and that this will not happen again. The youth of today have so much to deal with and it really bothers me that they cannot get the education they need and deserve without all the mess going on around them. If this boy had problems before he should have been removed long ago for the protection of your wife, the other students and himself. I know God has put me in this position for a reason and I pray that he will use me in a great way. Being a teacher is hard and your wife is to be commended on her act of service to the youth.

mkay - Thank you! Your DD is getting married? How wonderful!! Weddings are so exciting. You will have such a good time just planning it and the time will go by so fast. I think my mother and my mother in law had more fun planning and decorating than I did!!! Congratulations to your daughter!

doitforme - Thank you! You are a busy lady!! Whew! Your nieces prom, camping, China!! Wow you have a full summer ahead of you already!

Well, gotta go! Will check in later!

:wave:Good Afternoon my Friends,
I am sorry to have been MIA this week- I have been VERY ill with the FLU! I am so much better today - just like new again! I cannot believe how ill I was... it's been a long time since I felt that ill. Yesterday about midday the headache that I had since Tuesday finally left me and now I feel just fine! I even went for a 1.5 mile walk w/ Joe this morning. I spoke to friends and they all said that this flu hits hard and last at least 3 - 4 days, so I was par for the coarse. Other then feeling chilly from this crazy weather - all is well... it wasn't my gut nor the food from Sunday's parties as I thought, although... I don't think it helped.

Yesterday we had a picture perfect day! 78* Sunny :sunny: with a breeze... we are getting some "hit and miss" rains today and it's only in the 60's - chilly today compared to yesterday. I had all the windows open yesterday and not a thing playing - no TV - no Radio, nothing! All I heard were my kitties talking to the birds & the birds... nice!

Speaking of birds... Joe put up the 1950's Diner Bird Feeder yesterday, that my sister gave us for Christmas. I took some pictures! It is so neat to see it out my kitchen window and all lit up at night!! I will send pics as soon as I am able and show you - they are still on my camera right now. It is so DARN CUTE!!

Joe & I still don't have our annual plants bought nevermind planted... and may not at this rate! I was going to work on my potting this week - then I got the flu! Just can't win sometimes... Our Perennials are doing great! The pink *Peony's* will be opening soon and all my *Painted Daises* have opened... so have my *Lilies of the Valley* - what a heavenly scent!

:flow1: Tomorrow we are meeting Peggy, Mike (our best buds) and the girls for breakfast and then Peggy, Sandy, Lisa & I are going to play *putt putt gulf* then going out to lunch together, (the guys are going their way for the day together) - both girls are leaving soon - one for college (Lisa) and the other for Ca (Sandy), so we all wanted to spend time together. I am just glad that I am all better now and can still go! We have had this day planned for over a month!! Then... we are meeting the guys for dinner out and a baseball game - Lisa bought Joe & I the tickets for the game - wasn't that nice!!! $20.00 each! So sweet of her :bubbles: The weather is suppose to be perfect! It will be a FUN FULL day!

Sunday will be a quiet day after we get home from church... yeah! :cp:

Forgive me not catching up w/ you all right now, just no time to. I see I have allot to look at too!! So many pictures... I cannot believe all I missed!
But hopefully on SOON I will catch a moment when I can stop in and catch up ;) I am so far behind in my reading, I haven't been here in days!! :o I spent the whole morning on the computer this morning writing to all my family whom had not heard from me since Tuesday morning! :dizzy:

[B]HI GALS..

I'm with you MARY...where is everyone!?

I will be home alone tonight... :dancer:  ...Amanda is still in Nashville, Ryan is up in Sacramento at the state high school meet with 8 of his girls, Ron went to his mom's and Angie and Lara are at a drama banquet.

My daughter is having a great time at the conference...she says there are thousands of exhibits there..international for kineisiology and physical fitness stuff, it is at a very nice hotel too...she said it is like Disneyland inside, boats and everything.

MKAY Your daughters are GORGEOUS!! Nice to see a picture of Gary too so we have a face with the name....er...where was a current one of you? You will be the hottest mom at the wedding! Now get out and get started on a new training program!! :drill: :coach:

SUE Thanks for the prayers for Angie. They do not train in self defense...they probably should these days...they are taught "gang" stuff though. We ended up not taking Juan for steaks...they just opened up a HOOTERS near me and he wanted to go there...we had beers and burgers...FUN...cause I am MALE!! but how they can advertise "FAMILY" is beyond me...first time I have been in one...I will take Angie, I think she will like to go ONCE...then she will know about it...there were quite a few females there...a definite PARTY place. I took my nephew...he was a happy  BOY  .Happy camping!....How was PROM? I used to drink vodka tonics when I was 21...way better than vodka collins, which were the "in" thing in my area WAY BACK!!

MYISHA Sure! I get along a lot better with kids than adults! Just send them down to Kennewick after about June 25th! Or better yet I will be up in Sequim around the 31st of July~closer to you yet ;) The boy Angie had trouble with has already had restraining orders against him from previous teachers...he needs help...he should not be in with the :?: "normal" :?: kids. From what I am hearing second hand he has a lot of issues...someone needs to help this child before it is too late...not just push "stuff" under the mat so as not to cause trouble. Hey dear---how 'bout coming down here to work!! ;) I am the legal guardian of my nephew...I know how big a job social workers have and also how many kids there are out there needing help. Unfortunately with this child it seems to be that the "mother" is a big part in the trouble. Prayers for you in your new job!! I know you will do well! Gals like you and SUE are the BEST!

MARGIE Are you watching any of the FRENCH OPEN? My daughter is a pretty good friend (when she is in our area playing tennis on the pro tour) of Elena Likhovtseva, who just lost to Mary Pierce, who will be playing in the final against Justine Henin-Hardenne. Elena usually takes my daughter to dinner when she is in town...they met years ago when my daughter was a volunteer at the Accura tournament here in our area. Is your Sara out for the summer? Still ;) walking ;) ?

GRAPHIC GODDESS Still waiting for spring? Here in southern California it is almost over...humm, tell me why I am moving to Washington again?...OH YEA~ I know...I am    In fact if I hear one more freakin' bird chirp I am gonna explode  ....kiddin'...so good to hear you are still walking with Joe! Have you two thought about entering any 5K walks together? Angie and I have soooo much fun doing them...there are a lot of them in our area...think about it! SERIOUS!! If you have never done one just let me tell you that the WALKERS all look like me and you...if you know what I mean...nothing to be intimidated about...now the, the runners....like my son...well let's just say...EAT SOMETHING will ya! Angie and I will drive and do a 3.1 mile walk with hundreds of others...go eat breakfast and be home well before noon on a Saturday...in fact we have one this Sunday (although I think it is a 2 miler) for the local humane society...they are taking donations instead of an entry fee....we are taking REBA and RYLEE of course! Should be a blast! Where in Ca is your friends DD moving? FOR JOE~~OK big guy, she is "behaving"...but could we just get a little more from her?...other wise, we just might lose the "CE'ers"...just a little...whadda you say! ;)

OH, I almost forgot SUE and DONNA, I watched 2 NCIS for the first time the other day and really enjoyed it...thanks for the "look-out'!

MICHELE Just in time for the SLIDES in Laguna Beach!

Well, outta here for now!...off to watch College softball on ESPN...where is my softball partner SHERRY?

Prayers for all my friends!...Gary

OOPS-Donna--had to come back and edit~~the walk with the mutts is next Saturday---so glad Angie is around to "correct" me!!

Hello to all!

Sorry I haven't been in for an age, but with all the biulding work going on my study is full of everything that used to be kept in the back porch, which is in the thick of all the changes!!

Wilma I am sad for your loss with you DF's passing. Prayers for you and the family that you will find all the comfort and peace that you need especially at this time.

Sunny Thank you so much for your hard work sorting out my new siggie! I think its brilliant!! What does everyone else think??

Hello to everyone else...I'll go back and read the posts now and plasy catch-up now!!

jen1teacher 06-04-2005 08:45 AM

Hello everyone! I've tried to post 3 times now and couldn't for some strange reason. I hope this works now.

Sunny - I'm glad you are feeling better!

Gary - I hate to hear about the incident your wife had with the student. As a teacher, I hear about these things happening a lot. It is sad and scary.

I had the scan Thursday, and I'll get the results Monday. Please continue to pray for me!

Teel - The new siggy is beautiful, so colorful!

Take care everyone. God bless you all!

Can I join in?

Hi my name is Lori (Nelly) and I am new to the boards. I am a 37 years old mother of 3 SAHM. I have been over weight most of my life and truly want to lose weight to be and feel healthy. This past year my mother died at the age of 55 of cancer and my father pasted away a few years ago at the age of 54 of a heart attack. My genes are not that great so I feel I must get a hold of my physical health. My son had open heart surgery last year (he is 16) and since then has lost over 50 pounds. Instead of being an example to him, he is being an example to me. I have been looking for some Christian support and hope to encourage and be encouraged. You all look like a great group to be in so just wondering if I could join in.

Hey everyone! I got back from China last night at around 9pm. I'm sooo tired and jetlagged. It was amazing. I got to walk on the Great Wall, watch pink dolphins, see panda bears, go to see the world's largest seated bronze Buddha statue, go to the beach for the 1st time, see the Hutongs, among a lot of other things. It was a great experience. I'll tell you all more later, when I'm not in zombie-sleep mode. ;)

HI GALS :beach:

Had to work today...bummer  .but then I had 3 days off last week-end. Angie took Reba and Rylee to the dog park we go to every now and then...I guess Rylee was being pushed around by another dog...usually Reba will "boss" everyone but I guess she was off playing with another dog and didn't see Rylee being taken advantage of. Angie left after 10 minutes because Rylee had had enough. I tell you...some people...just don't know when to take their pets and go home... ...my dogs don't bother anyone  ...mine are everybody's favorites

Amanda called and said her flight has been delayed...should be in California around 9 tonight.

Ryan's girls didn't do as well as they hoped yesterday...one gal was second in the state last year in the triple jump...yesterday she was off the qualifying by almost a foot..HUGE..in track...oh well, maybe they did better today...the boy hasn't called yet...he ALWAYS calls when something really good happens at the meets...we shall see.

Lara got a trophy last night for "best up and coming crew" for her behind the scenes in their Dr. Dolittle play.

Ron had great progress reports again this week---see dr. in a couple of weeks for evaluation on his medication.

RACHEL Welcome home girl!! :cheer: :balloons: So glad you had a great time. Looks like you saw TONS of history.

JEN Prayers for a GOOD result on your test...I'm getting a good feeling here for you ;) Remember...WE are ALWAYS here for prayers!! Love your siggy too.

TEEL LOVE~LOVE your signature! Does Graphic Goddess have us pegged or what!..it is so good to hear from you. Are yopu anywhere near the "PIANO MAN" guy?...interesting story.Tell your builder to get moving!...we want you back! Holiday with Linus? did it come yet? I forget things ya know

LORI Welcome! I lost my father about 17 years ago--he was only 54...I still have my mom....PRAYERS for your son and your entire family.

Well, Angie has turkey bacon, avocado, burgers ready for dinner...outta here!

lateralus98 06-05-2005 08:21 AM

You guys...something terrible has happened. I forgot to mention it. I don't know HOW, but I did. I lost my scholarship to college. I just found out Friday and classes start Monday and I have no way to pay for them.

Well, I though the requirement was I had to take a minimum of 6 credits a quarter. Last quarter, I took on 12. The math class was hard to get to, I kept falling asleep or I couldn't make it because I had no gas money. So I was afraid I was going to fail it, so instead of risking my scholarship because of a failed grade (the IRONY!) I withdrew from the class. I got a "C" in Biology, so I'm good there. The classes were both six credits each, but the problem is I guess I had to pass 66% of the credits I signed up for. And since I passed 6 out of 12 (technically a withdraw coutns as FAILING I didn't know that!) that's only 50%. So now I lost my scholarship, and no way to go to school! And my parents don't know. I don't know how I would tell them. I'm so scared.

I can appeal, but that would take days and the classes start on MONDAY!!! Please, pray for me, I am so scared and depressed and I have no one to talk to about it. I feel like I am going to throw up every second of the day. This stinks.

Help me.

wilma12 06-05-2005 12:30 PM

Good Morning!

It's a dreary Sunday morning and I'm skipping church. I have a bad head cold and am coughing a lot so I thought it better to stay home. I think this is from stress and lack of sleep from the week before. I am on the mend so hopefully will be feeling better soon.

I maintained my weight this week. I'm pleased about that because while I was spending much time in the hospital I didn't eat properly. I am now back on track and hope to show a loss next week.

Rachel: It's great to see you back from China and that you had a wonderful time. I'm sorry, though, to hear about your scholarship. I'm praying that the Lord will supply what you need.

Gary: Nice to see you're keeping busy and out of trouble. You also have evey right to be proud of your kids. They seem to be great people and will contribute greatly to society. Mine are both working and hopefully will have their futures lined up for them soon too. Wedding plans are coming along. with everyone in my family coming out for my dad's funeral we don't know how many will be able to make the distance again for the wedding. I do understand if they can't come. We'll see.

Lori: A big welcome to you. You will find support here. I weighed what you do now 5 years ago and have been losing it slowly but surely. I also can relate to losing parents early. I lost my mom (42 yrs old) when I was 14 and my dad last week. I do have a great stepmom who is like a mom to me so I feel very fortunate to have her.

We're here for you!

Teel: Love your sig! It's also great to hear from you again. Post when you can find your computer. I know what it's like to have a mess for renovations. Just look to the final result. I love my kitchen!!

Sunny: So glad you're feeling better now. We miss you when you're not here. The weather has been really wet and cool here too and I don't have my bedding plants either. We did a bit of pruning and deciding what to plant where yesterday. We would like to have the yard looking nice for the wedding but with the constant rain it's hard to get out there. I plan to spend even an hour in my yard each evening and hopefull we'll have it looking good in no time.

mkay: Nice pics! You have a beautiful family. No, it's not your breath. It's mine!!

mnewton: I agree with you about teens. I worked in the school system for 10 years and there are so many troubled kids out there. A teacher has so much responsiblity and opportunity to make a difference. I really admire teachers and think they deserve much more than they recieve in return for what they do.

Well, i better get going. I feel a nap coming on. I'm still feeling weak and hope to get caught up on rest today.

have a wonderful Lord's day!

mkay 06-06-2005 01:24 PM

Monday Monday...

Hello my friends...

Welcome Lori...You will find alot of comfort and support here and we are a blast...especially EZ's pups.

EZ...Gee, and here I thought Nikki was everyone's favorite. When the neighbor gal has there lab pup out in front of the house and Nikki is out there with her dad, the neighbor gathers her pup up and puts it in the house. Nikki wouldn't hurt a flea.

Laterus...sorry about the schlorship deal. God will provide and meet you at the point of your need.

teel...What a cool siggy.
