A Servant's Prayer

Jesus, MY Jesus... How marvelous your ways...
Far more splendid than my mind can envision. What an
honor to be chosen by you. A lowly child I am, but empowered
by the Holy Spirit to fulfill the great hope to which you have
called me. I give myself totally to you, Lord. Take my imperfect
heart and make it perfect. Peel away the hardness. Close the doors
I have opened to the temptations of this world. Gently remove the
roots of painful memories, sins, doubts and fears. Discard anything
that separates me from you. Lord, fill the emptiness with the light of
your love that I might be a beacon calling the lost back to you.

To love as you love...
To serve as you serve...
To heal as you heal...
To forgive as you forgive...
always mindful of my nothingness while doing
great and marvelous things in you name and for
you glory. This I pray, Jesus, in YOUR name.
Amen

Thank you Sunny/Donna! Love the cute cat graphic! How is Miss Sunny today? You must be feeling better b/c you are posting more.

I'm off plan, struggling, feeling like a failure. But i brought good stuff and goin to do well for the rest of the day. That's my goal. I left my water bottle at the yarn cafe too and i'm lost. How dumb is that, just drink out of a different glass and figure it out....

Good Morning

Oooooo my hands are stiff on the keyboard this morning... it was a chilly walk... only 34* and windy, but all well worthwhile :smug: I got in 3.77miles this morning :D Once I get warmed up, I will feel so much better. The sunrise was just awesome to watch today!! :cloud9: I was listening to Michael Crawford's CD of Andrew Lloyd Webber Show tunes and just as I turned the corner where the pond is he was singing *Memory* from Cats and it just fit...
a beautiful song to go with the beautiful sight :sunny:
Total Miles for April: 16.02 (every little bit counts ;) )

Hi there Michele... :flow1: :grouphug:
Feel Better, Sweets!

I will be back this afternoon to post to each of you ;)

It's been a long time...

My dh and I share a computer and he has need of it for church work... quite often, so I do not have the time on the internet that I used to have. I hope that all of you are doing well, I haven't read the posts, but just thought that I would drop in and say hello.

Last night I started a indepth bible study from Genesis to Revelation in 30 weeks. The class is 2 hours long, once a week. I am hoping to learn alot.

My dear friend who had cancer her funeral is tomorrow. She is with Jesus now.

Well, I am hoping for a weight loss this week although I didn't get much exercise in because I hurt my back on Saturday, but I ate very sensibly all week.

Take care everyone! I'll pop in again when I get a chance.

Mitchypoo 04-12-2005 01:28 PM

I'm so sorry to hear about your friend, lbsbegone. I'm glad you came back to check in.

I Really Am Alive and Kickin!

Hello All...

No excuse for me being gone. I did have a cold last week and stayed home from work on Friday. Played Saturday and Sunday...nothing special...just played jewelry stuff.

Sunny...Now we're chilling off a bit this week. You are really doing good on the T-mill.

Michele...struggling here at work today to stay focused on work. Yikes.

lbsbegone...so sorry about your friend. I am happy she is with her Father and in no more pain just joy!

Smiley...I guess it has been a long time. Glad to see you back and in swing.

momof10...this is a fun as heck place to hang out. You really have 10 kids? Wow...you are a busy woman.

EZ...You think the chair deal was funny, after church on Sunday, we went to the store and bought some frozen orange, banana, pineapple juice...two cans. I decided I would do a nice thing for G and put it (both cans) in the sun tea jar with a little spicket for easier pouring since he's on those nasty crutches all day. I put the frozen stuff in the jar and 6, yes 6 cans of water. While I was stirring, the jar broke and I had juice and more juice everwhere. It took quite some time to clean up and once I was finally done, I opened our big tupperware drawer and low and behold...1/4 inch of juice in the bottom of the drawer. I can't win. Whenever I "think" I'm doing something nice for him, I screw it up...royally. I think I'm just trying too hard to please.

Well, I will be more active with my postings. Tonight ranch chicken, walk the dog and play jewelry then bed early.

Hugs to you all and I missed you!

Everyone else...forgive me for my negligence

Dieter's Devotional

Here's the Dieter's Devotional from www.crosswalk.com:

April 13

1 Kings 17:8-9
And the word of the Lord came unto him, saying, 'Arise, get thee to
Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have
commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee.'

Consider the prophet Elijah. The Lord told him to go to the town of
Zarephath, where he was to wait for further guidance from God. Elijah
waited there three years before the word came! How many of us would have
such patience? Our dieting period often seems long, but in comparison
with what so many others have had to go through, the time is really quite
short. Committed people have always found a special source of patience
and courage to get them through any situation. The source of their
remarkable faith is the Lord, who makes all things possible.

Today's thought: I will make a little last a long, long time!

wilma12 04-13-2005 09:10 AM

Good Morning!

Thank you for your prayers for yesterday. I really felt them. I had a pretty good day. There's so much to learn and sometime I get overwhelmed with what there is to know and how important it is to know it properly.

Michele: I'm praying for you!! I know what it's like to be discouraged and feeling down. This feeling will pass and you will prevail. You are a strong woman with lots going for you. (I must admit that I'm a bit jealous of your Yarn Cafe job. It sounds like so much fun. I also do some knitting but am mainly into quilting right now.)

lbsbegone: I'll be thinking about you today and you go to your friend's funeral. HUGS

mkay: I had to laugh at your juice story. I had that happen to me with a mug of hot chocolate that fell apart when I put the hot water in. I ended up having to clean out my pots and pans drawer and then then wash all the pots and pans in it. Way more work than I wanted to do that day. I just wanted to relax with a mug of hot chocolate.

It's a beautiful sunny day today and things are looking up - as long as I keep looking up.

Good Morning CER's,

I am sorry I missed you all yesterday... I had allot of little things to get done. As for Joe's job... we didn't find out what was happening till this past Monday (4/11). It looks like he will be fine for the time being, they will be keeping the maint. crew and so Joe will keep his job... hopefully till he can retire in two years. He is officially up for retirement this coming Feb/2006, but Joe wants to work for two years past that to get better retirement benefits & healthcare, we couldn't live on what they would give us in Feb. We are just playing it out from year to year right now. We should be fine for another year. We feel better :smug: He has also been voted in as the Shop Stewart by his crew (a spokesman for his crew - they voted him in)... so as of June he will get a raise of .25 an hour for taking this position. He was very happy about this, so good news all around.

I saw *A-Idol* last night and I didn't really like the music much, the song choices weren't my fav. at all. I just wish that Carrie would stay with country --- she is a great country singer and there are so many good song choices. I think she felt pressure to change it up... too bad too. That song did not suit her at all. I think that if I were to vote someone off, it may be Scott Savol (even though he is from Ohio) or Nadia Turner... neither have done so well the last few shows. I really have enjoyed Vonzell Solomon too! Classy young lady. As for *Survivor* I don't have a clue which way they are taking it this year... I feel so bad for Stephanie :(... have any of you (who watch) seen the previews? Also, I have been watching *The Amazing Race* ~> I love watching how Rob and Amber are working together! I don't hope that they will win it (they don't need the $$) but I have enjoyed them!! They are both very clever (common sense clever) and work so well together... fun to see! I tape it, so Joe & I can watch together on Saturday's when there's nothing else on.

I have been walking outdoors this week and loving every moment of it!! I am out the door by 5:45am... and the sunrises have been awesome with the sky so clear and blue. I am taking every breath-taking moment in! So far I have walked 18.27 miles for the month of April :D

*~*~*

Hi Lbsbgone! Nice to see you drop in here... I am so sorry I haven't posted lately (on our thread ;) ) I have been trying my best to keep up with everyone. Is the friend that passed the one that just got out of the hospital :?: I pray not. Either way, I am so very sorry :sorry: for your loss  :grouphug:

Hi Michele, Feeling any better today girly :^: Sometimes when we work so hard and do not get enough rest, and we get to feeling down. And all our body is telling us is that it needs more rest :faint: Maybe you need to rest... with working two jobs and all you do to volunteer... you know. Feel better :goodvibes SOON!

Hi Margie B, Good to see you too :) You sounded like you had a very event-filled weekend!! We have full weekends, but nothing like that :o FUN! As for your Youth Rally & the 37 people... that's a great turnout! Those are 37 people who could have stayed home ;) When Joe & I did the passion play *Tetelestai* --- many years ago --- we use to perform to less then 50 and we would tell the cast that if there were only ONE out there, that's one more person we have brought closer to our Lord and that it was all worthwhile. Nothing we do in the name of Jesus is a waste of time ;) Be of Good Cheer...

I am glad you enjoy the graphics too... I love them!! It's all well-worth the time it takes me to search them out, snag them and post them for all of you and for my enjoyment. I don't mind taking the time at all :D

I am on a *Walking Thread* that changes with each month if you are interested in logging your miles each day with us... it doesn't take too long and it's fun if you want to join in :D Here's the LINK if you are interested ~> http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/show...t=55691&page=1 and it's not too late to join in at all, if you'd like to... 9.8 miles is great! :cp: ! Keep up the good work!! I got in another 2.25 miles this morning :df:

Oh... my goodness... the SUNSHINE makes a whole lotta difference for me ---- I light up and feel so alive when we have sunshine. I think that we should move to another area with more SUN (Joe has mentioned it allot this winter), but it's hard to leave all those you love, you know. Maybe one day Joe & I will WINTER somewhere where we can take in more sun. N.E., Ohio is known for a high suicidal rate because of the lack of sun here... not that I have ever gotten that low... I just have no energy (I want to winter like a bear  ). I am sure that my diet and exercise is also a huge help to my feeling better :sunny: Thanks for the cheers ;) Back at you :cp:

Hi Mnewton, You too had allot going over the weekend :o Sounded like lots of fun though  Your DM's 50th Birthday party sounded wonderful!!! Isn't it great when you put all that effort into something and it turns out so well :D :sunny: I am very happy for you and your DM... she'll talk about that day for the rest of her life :smug:

Hey... I don't mind at all... glad to be of service --- my arms are getting into shape now with all the good-weather-waving I have been doing :D Glad all my efforts paid off... just call me *mother nature* ;)

Nice backyard, Gary! I thought it had to be bigger, but I had not seen pics, so I wasn't sure. It's really a beautiful space! I like how you have it all fenced off for your gardens to keep the pups out. Awe, look at how sweet and innocent Reba WAS!

Thanks coach :coach: I LOVE walking outdoors, but it's nice to know I have the T-Mill for those yucky weather days we get here. That would be so great to be able to see your new home in Wa. and to visit... I do hope that one day it will come to pass. I think that the 4 of us would have a great time together.

Hope you are having a great time at the Wedding and with your company this weekend  Looking forward to a picture or two ;)

Hi Sherry, Thanks again for all the Devotionals you have been posting daily... and I don't mind at all doing the graphics and animations. It is fun for me - it just takes time to do. I too have very busy days, but I don't mind taking that extra moment to "pretty" up my posts for all you lovely people :bubbles:

Hi Wilma, I am sorry I missed your last post :( and that you had a rough time of it at work. Mistakes happen when you are human, I am sure that this too will pass and now you learn from it and more on with more going for you :D Now you know what to work on and can improve, right. These things don't happen for nothing... I will keep you in my continued prayers http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...s/A_01AN11.gif that you will soon have an ease of mind... you need to continue to believe in yourself (the devil  doens't want that, so he sticks his foot out to trip us up). You are doing wonderfully... KEEP LOOKING UP :flow2:

By-the-way... just to let you know... it's Sherry/Mrs. Smiley that is posting the Devotionals (not Sue ;) ) --- you must be so tired these days, sweets :goodvibes

Hi MKay! Long time no see :^: good to see you pop in... don't stay away too long, okay. I do hope you are feeling better from that cold you had. You should hear all the coughing and sneezing going on here (in this area) with all the temp changes and pollen in the air. Awwww, Spring :sunny: Yesterday it was 34* when I went for my walk and today it was 39*, so we are getting a little warmer :D 60* & 70* temps cannot come soon enough!! We got that tease a few weeks back, but it's been in the lower temps since

 I loved hearing your stories... but I can't help but feel bad for you too! Fluke things just happen, don't know why... you seem to have your share and then some  I will say a prayer that it will calm down for you now, okay ;) Enough is enough... don't stop trying to *please* though... you are on the right track :flow1:

Where is our SUE!!!!???? "Where oh where has our little Sue gone, where oh where can she be?"

Time to go get some work done today...

Newbie introduction, can I join you?

 Hi Everyone, My name is Janice and I'm new to FatChicks, but not new to dieting. :( I guess I've been on every diet known to man, but never have given it to the Lord and let Him lead me. I have given it to God now, and am seeking His help day by day. "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." Phillippians 4:13 has become my encouragement verse to live by.

My hubby and I retired 2 years ago last September and moved to Florida to enjoy the warmth and sunshine. We moved here from northwestern Illinois and were tired of the snow, cold, ice and dreary cloudy weather. We have found a wonderful church home and are having a ball serving God here in the Tampa area. I'm singing in the choir and hubby is ushering.

I began this time at 213 at the doctor's office...had already lost 7 pounds on my own and now I'm down to 207. I'm counting calories and watching fat intake.

I posted an introduction and EZMoney invited me to join this group. I would love to be part of your group. You all seem so nice.

I just had my 60th birthday last Sat. (Apr 9). It wasn't too bad at all. After all, getting older sure beats the alternative, huh?

I want to wish you all a blessed day and keep on track with God's help.

SunnyD57 04-13-2005 01:50 PM

Welcome!

Jan :flow1:

Congrats on your 7 lbs lost! :cheer: And Belated Birthday :hb: wishes to you :smug: Many happy returns!! :balloons: Did you have a birthday party or just celebrate with your DH (dear hubby)?

I am so glad that EZ/Gary, stopped in and ivited you... all are so welcome to join us :flow1: Sunny Florida, huh... well today I don't envy you because we have had some Beautiful days here, but come winter time I will be singing a different tune ;) You sound so happy living in Florida :^:

I'm SunnyD (also known as Donna)... I am married almost 30 years to Joe and we have 3 furry kids :D I do not work outside of the home... do enough inside :dizzy: Joe & I sing at our church too... we have a small group of 5 right now (it was 7, but 2 have moved). I don't know what we'd do if we weren't involved in music... it's such a part of us & quite a ministry. When I met Joe he was in a small group and it was his voice that I fell in love with first... I didn't know him yet. But it didn't take long after our first date to know it was meant to be for us. I was 18 and he was 21 when we married.

I am on *The Maker's Diet* (by Jordan Rubin)... he believes in eating foods from the bible. I have severe IBS and ever since I have been on his program I have had one day healthier then the next :D I take his all natural supplements too. It's quite costly at first, but now it's not so bad to maintain. I also walk 5 days a week.

Wishing you all the best on your program, although it sounds like you are well on your way :sunny:

Well, I must be getting back to my chores...
Again, it's great to have you join us :flow2:

*God Bless*

Margie B. 04-13-2005 01:52 PM

It's a Wednesday Welcome!

Jan4945 - Welcome. :D You've joined a great thread of loving and caring people here. Sounds like you're on the right track to weight loss, just keep up the good work and keep us posted!

SunnyD - 18.27 miles - you go girl! :dancer: I now have 15.3 miles and haven't had my walk in, as yet today. You were my inspiration yesterday while doing my 2nd lap at the park, I thought "if Sunny can do it, so can I" . . . also that I had to keep up, at least some, with your mileage! I can't believe you are up, out and walking at 5:45 a.m.! That's incredible. I will check out the weight tracker soon, right now my 'weight tracker' is my calendar. Still enjoying the graphics, keep it up!

Mitchypoo - failure? :?: Good grief girl, with all you've got on your plate right now, I think you're doing wonderful. :cp: Maybe a little set-back but everyone has those, keep your head up and push on!!!!!

lbsbgone - So sorry to hear about your friend, but she is in a wonderful place now and a place of peace. I hope you will keep us posted on your bible study, it sounds intense to do the whole thing in 30 weeks! Lots of study, study, and study!

Mkay - glad to see you're 'alive and kickin' we've missed you around here! By the way, ranch chicken dinner sounds yummy, when do we come over? And please, - no juice - that story was so-o-o funny! ;)

MrsSmiley - another good devotion from you! Thanks so much! Again fits me so well, many have said that I need 'committed' . . . seriously though, I do enjoy reading and reflecting on each of these posts.

EZ - loved the pics, glad everything is fenced off from the dogs. Let me know when you're ready to come to Ohio and put in a few veggie/flower boxes, :smug: I can always use some more!!

Jan4945 - again Welcome and hope you come back to post again soon.

Not much up with me today, played piano (as every Wednesday) for the Children's Mass which I so enjoy doing and seeing all the kids. K-6 about 65 in all, small school, and the kindergarden just sings out the praises to the Lord so innocent and beautiful, :goodvibes I really get more of a blessing than they do and really makes my day to be with them.

WARNING:  I did sign up for internet at home so I'll be doing all the fine tuning once I get there and will be on and off, (as I can get it away from my DD) and posting and aggravating you guys more and more! Don't say you weren't warned!

Bell choir tonite and perhaps mow the grass, depending on the rain :chin: we're suppose to have??? I did get to walk at lunch yesterday, 1.3 mile usual path and then walked two laps around the park last night 2.5 miles total there, so I was quite pleased with myself for making it that far in one day! I guess I need to get off here for now and go get that lunch walk in before it's too late. Have a great afternoon all. . . . Margie

After Lunch

Hi All...

Welcome Jan...Yipee to your 7lbs. I WI today and still not an ounce. That's ok...not gaining! I just came back from Stuart, FL a month ago. My DH does not like it there and I do. I love the brightness of colors there...not to mention the ocean.

My DH and I have been married a entire 6.5 years. 2nd time around for both. DH was supposed to start ushering at our church but the week before his 1st Sunday, he broke his foot and is still crutching it around.

I'm starting a bible/weight loss thing tomorrow night at one of the local churches. From what I understand it is a diabetic plan. I did South Beach last spring and lost 20lbs and gained 12 of it back. It takes alot to be motivated to leave every kind of sugar alone for 1-2 weeks. :dizzy: Then, of course, you start bringing fruits back into the picture. Anyway, welcome!

Sunny...I need the prayers for a clutz. Are there any out there for that? The more I try, the more I fumble. If I would put 1/2 the effort into myself that I do in trying to please others, I'd probably be very healthy and quite fit.

Wilma...hows that kitchen? Pics?

MargieB...the ranch chicken was wonderful. My friend made it also last night and didn't like it. I had leftovers for lunch today. I'm now "letting" DH fend more for himself. When I'm in the basement in the a.m. showering/bathroom, I hear him upstairs on the tile floor wheeling around on our kitchen chairs making coffee, letting the pooch out, etc. The noise sounds like boulders rolling over my head. I don't know which is worse.

Later all...

SunnyD57 04-13-2005 02:48 PM

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...ternooncat.gif

Hi Margie B, I think it's great that you will be on more often :D :cp: And I also think it's WONDERFUL that you have picked up your walking... we can cheer one another on :cheer: You mentioned a weight-tracker??? I wasn't talking about a wt-tracker... what I mentioned was a THREAD that I am on where we just post our miles each day. If you don't want to join - that's  we can keep cheering one another on here :D (and anyone else who wants to join in ;) ).

Bell Choir?! I love the Bell Choir!!! Joe & I have enjoyed listening to any Bell Choir group that comes along. How long have you played? Do you play at the *Yankee Peddler* in Canal Fulton? We go there every year!

Hi MKay, Well, we all haveta find that Balance in our lives... yours has to be finding time for you too, so that you feel better with life and it's challenges... like making juice ;) Forgive me for chuckling again... you are so sweet and innocently funny.

Chatty group today---I LOVE IT! Welcome Jan4945!I hope you come back often.

I'm feeling a little better but still not OP with my food quite yet. It's OK overall but i don't feel that i'm on that losing side again. A lot of it has to do with the change in my schedule. I'm a creature of habit and things like this throw me.

Eric has turned into a toad i think.... :( :?: :( :?: Haven't heard from him since last Saturday. I know he's not been feeling well, i called to see how he was, with no answer. I'm tired of worrying about it. Concentrate on me and work and weightloss efforts. Men!

SunnyD57 04-13-2005 03:42 PM

Now now Michele, I am gonna stick my neck out & say something (& you may not be too please with me for it) and remind you that you are not feeling very well right now, so your feelings might be a bit askew ;) Until you know for sure what happened with Eric you have to chill... Something just may have come up in his world and he hasn't had a chance to call you yet. I am sure from what you have said about him in the past that he would if he could. You did say he was ill... I know that when I become ill I just want to close up in my home till I feel better... to each his own :^: Hang in there till you hear from him & know for sure, okay. Have you both committed to a serious relationship? Or are you still in the dating and getting to know you stages?

Feel better soon... :grouphug:
Love you!

EZMONEY 04-13-2005 07:31 PM

Wednesday Afternoon

HI LADIES

I have been busy at work the last couple of days...I got suckered into painting by an 84 year old man! He saw me coming a mile away  My brother, Kenny, and I removed the acoustic off some of the ceilings in his house and re-textured them...don't really like doing that but HEY it IS the trade I picked years ago  Well, the old guy and his wife...who just had a pacemaker put in last month...starting whining :stress: about how they don't have the energy anymore to paint ceilings...hummm...imagine that at only 84 and 82! So there goes Kenny and I telling them over and over, every time they ask if we would paint, that we can do it...we really don't want to....well, anyway..WE ARE PAINTING!!

WELCOME JANICE Glad you came over...they are a nice group here...just watch out for that EZMONEY...he is the bad apple in the bunch  ...Northern Illinois huh? My mom and dad grew up in southern Illinois...Bloomington...my dad has passed but actually my mom is staying there now taking care of my grandma...and my sister and bil moved back there a year ago...they will be here in southern California tonight for my neice's wedding on Saturday. I like your encouragement verse Philippians 4:13...it is the verse my son had on the back of his high school letterman's jacket. Briefly...I am 51, wife Angie 45...second one...been married almost 10 years...son Ryan just turned 24 graduated college last year...earning his teaching credential this year...daughter, Amanda 21...graduates college this year...kineiseology....step-daughter a 17 yr junior and raising my 14 yr old nephew. Again~WELCOME!

SUNNYD Good news on the job and raise JOE! Don't cha just hate the way they pick on us old guys  At least in drywall no one is out to get my job...who would want it! Actually we are ALWAYS trying to get young guys in the trade here...they just don't want to work hard for $8 an hour start when they can go hang out with girls and flip burgers for the same $$$

WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT DONNA? are you ... CARRIE is awesome...OK...so she did miss a few notes...I LOVE COUNTRY...but...as you and I both know...the VOTERS are not country lovers as a whole. My son really likes her...as do I...I wanted Nadia at first to win to be honest, but I am losing steam on her too. I love Carrie as COUNTRY...I am just not so sure she is...American Idol....remember JOSH...he is doing fine now...he just wasn't the American Idol look... Right now I am pulling for Carrie...Like you I am starting to like Vonzell much more.

As far as SURVIVOR...I feel bad for Steph...but hey, at least they are switching things up this time...as much as I enjoy the show...after so many...I am starting to lose some interest...if only we could go back to the days of RUDY...COBY...and of course my all-time favorite ELISABETH!

Keep up the good weather walks!!...hey why not LEASH the boys up and take them

MKAY Ranch chicken sounds interesting...how do you make it? Love the "juice" story!! Trying hard to please someone is fine...as long as it is not patronizing...or...if the other person just "blows you off" because they KNOW you are trying to please them! My buddy has '' issues'' with this...he is always doing things for his wife...looking for ANY kind of 'nice response'...doesn't happen...he will have a day off work...spend it "CLEANING" the house top to bottom...when she comes home from work she doesn't even "NOTICE"...this keeps her in POWER...over him...so sad. Hope that Gary's heel COMPLETELY HEALS!! sounds like an injury that he may feel forever.

MARGIEB Be glad to build those planter boxes for you...but the closest I get to Ohio is southern Illinois ;) BEll CHOIR!! good for you! My wife, Angie is in bell choir at our church...she really enjoys it...sounds so nice. My little neice is in her bell choir at her church...all the kids are under 7...the director points at colored bells on a chart and the kids ring when their color is pointed to...very cute! As far as the grass mowing goes...my nephew is getting pretty good at it here! the more trouble he gets in at school...the more CHORES I find for him

MICHELE So Eric is a TOAD huh...what if he calls tonight? ;) I told you before...and I will tell you again...US GUYS ARE LOOOOOSERS!!! Sorry, I know you were "liking" him...maybe it will work out yet...don't give up...but don't WAIT either! Sick or not..if I was interested in someone I always found time to call...unless of course I didn't want to be too pushy...AH MAN...it just gets sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo confusing!!!!!

WILMA So you made a mistake...big deal! I bet YOU worried more about it than anyone else! Waiting for those kitchen cabinet pictures. Wedding plans??

SUE...SUE....ANYONE SEEN SUE?

SHERRY So glad to see you posting "regular" again....happy to see the family thing with "CHURCH!"...I know it was an issue before and of course the family weight loss! Softball season is going strong here too...my step-d is playing second base for her high school varsity team...they are very good...she is struggling at the plate...as usual..but fielding well. My daughter just has a few more weeks of tennis and then college tennis will be over :( Son is coaching high school jumps for track right now...always coaching something...he gets calls from other coaches to "scout" teams...he is pretty good at what he does for being 24.

SAMI GRANDBABY?

SPROUT WALKING?...KOKO?

TEEL NEW CHURCH YET?...SCOOTER?? come back!

LBSBGONE Thanks for stopping in.

MNEWTON Washington "weather" still there?

Well...have dinner duty tonight!!! outta here.....Gary

Hello, I am new with 3FatChicks.com as well. I am trying to diet and exercise again, the *right* way, no diet pills, nothing unnatural. Right now I weigh about 180lbs, and at 5'0'', that is REALLY not healthy! I need to get down to 115-120 lbs., but I am doing it in 10 pound increments so as not to get too overwhelmed. Can I please join your group? I'm a Catholic girl and I want all the inspiration and support I can get!

to our humble group Lateralus98,

It doesn't matter to us what type of church you are from... all who believe in Jesus Christ as our Savior are welcome here :flow1: I too am going *all natural* Just check out the past posts from me if you want to know more ;) And if you have any questions, feel free to ask :^: that's what we are here for :bubbles: Weekends can get very quiet... but most of the time there's someone who will be here. I think you are being very reasonable with the 10 lb increments... I wish you well.

Oh... one more thing... what's your weather like there?

Do come back ;)
*God Bless*

Weather is bee-yoo-ti-ful! After 4 or 5 DAYS STRAIGHT of bloody rain (I live in Omaha, Nebraska) I am finally seeing some nice days. Maybe I will go out and walk the dogs today. I have 2, both boy Pomeranians. One is named Cinnamon, the other is named Spice. Right now I am 17 years old, studying for an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education. I love young children! I am also possibly discerning a religious vocation to become a religious Sister, hopefully a Carmelite Sister of the Divine Heart of Jesus. There, you spend your day in prayer, but you also do apostolic work like work with the elderly and little ones! What a joy! So my life is completely mixed up right now, I have the whole dating thing (typical of most girls my age, but not really for me), my parents (who are not Catholic or Christian in any way), and the Sisterhood all pulling me in different places. But right now, I am focusing on being a stronger, healthier individual inside and out.

WOW I got WAY OFF TRACK!!! If you want to visit my weight loss journal, it's at http://www.xanga.com/rachels_weight_loss

Jackay 04-14-2005 08:30 AM

Good morning! I just joined this site as well, but am not new to diets, both failed and successful. I'm back to charting everything I eat and counting calories/fat. I've prayed for God's guidance on this journey. I know out of all the other times, this feels different. Just pray for me as I change my eating habits. Undergoing a lot of stress right now and it's easy to slip. I lost my mother a year ago (July 26) just about. She was only 69, diabetic who let her disease get out of control, her kidneys shut down towards the end, having her to undergo dialysis. Finally, the combination of the kidneys shutting down completely and her lung failure, killed her. My father since Thanksgiving of last year has been sick with congestive heart failure and we're now (like this week) learning that his liver is badly damaged and failing. If nothing else, with the Lord's help, I'm using this bad news as fuel for me to get it together healthwise. Thank you for reading my ramblings. It's good to be here. God bless each of you in your journeys....

CER's!

Well... I got in another 3 miles this morning :D It was a very COLD morning though... buuuurrrrrr only 33* --- the cold zaps me of energy --- when I come inside it takes all I have to stay awake :dz: cuz the warmth inside makes me feel sleepy. I am up to 21.27 miles for the month of April :sunny:

*~*~*

Hi Gary, I think it's so great that you get suckered into jobs like that... you have a kind heart. And I am sure that the 84 man & his 82 yr wife are very appreciative of your time and help :D

Now... I didn't say that I wasn't voting for Carrie :nono: I just said that the last song she sang didn't fit her... I still voted for her ;) She has been my pick from the auditions. But I have also enjoyed Vonzell allot. And I was right about 2 of the 3 bottom :D :D I had a feeling that Nadia was going to go, I loved her style though --- a beautiful gal. I think that someone will pick her up. I doubt that any of these final will be left behind... someone will pick them up :sunny:

You may laugh! But I tried to bring Guido on a walk with me, but he spooks too easily... so it was unsuccessful :o None of my kitties want to walk with me :( Oh well... it's just me and my CD player :D

Hello again lateralus98, looks like you have allot on your plate of life ;) I will keep you in PRAYER about your choices in life, okay. My sister has three poms... they sure are adorable. I really like the names of yours! Cinnamon & Spice - Cute!

I am glad that you are enjoying the nice weather... us too! It is cold, but the sun has shone here the last 7 days :cp: I think that's a record for NE, OH  and we are suppose to have sunny days and warmer temps over the weekend too

Gotta run... have lots to get done today...

Thursday's Dieter's Devotional

Here's the Dieter's Devotional for today from
www.crosswalk.com

April 14

John 14:1
'Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in
me.'

The days will come when we question whether or not we will ever lose
the weight we want to. Frustration can set in, and when it does, it makes
us feel like such failures. Jesus' disciples found themselves feeling
like failures at times in their lives. It was on those occasions that
Jesus offered them the most comfort. Jesus understood human nature
perfectly, and He came to let us know everything will work out fine. Turn to
Christ when feelings of failure get strong. Our Lord of love and peace
will not let us feel badly for long. His love truly conquers all.

Today's thought: True belief brings real relief!

Jackay 04-14-2005 08:43 AM

Thank you mrsSmiley! Wonderful passages to live by.

Nice to meet you lateralus98! :D

I am so very sorry for your loss  I just cannot imagine losing my mother right now (although, no time is ever a good time), we have only really been close for about 6 years and I am taking it all in. I will keep your Dear Father in my Prayers!!! As I will YOU :grouphug:

Here is Today God is First Devotional from
www.crosswalk.com

Using Satan for God's Purposes
Hand this man over to satan, so that the sinful nature may be destroyed and his spirit saved on the day of the Lord. 1 Corinthians. 5:5

Paul encountered a believer who was involved in an incestuous relationship in the Corinthian church. This man was deluded by satan and was controlled by immorality. The man was unwilling to change his behavior, so Paul recommended to the church that tough actions be taken. He spiritually handed this man over to satan for the destruction of his flesh for the benefit of his soul. The idea is that the person will wallow in the pit of sin so long until it becomes detestable to him and he cries out for God's grace. We know this man was a Christian because only a Christian can be subjected to church discipline.

Have you ever known someone who was walking in disobedience and no matter how much you prayed he seemed oblivious to his sin? God has given one weapon to counter satan's schemes against those who fall prey to satan. That is, let satan have access to them fully so that their lives become so miserable they cry out to God for mercy. Probably few of us have ever had to pray this prayer. However, you should not be fearful of this prayer for any believer who is willingly walking in disobedience. This is love-tough love. There is a time and place for tough love. I have seen this principle work. God restores His children when His Body takes a stand against sin. It is not comfortable for those who take this action.

Do you know someone who needs tough love in his or her life right now? Ask God if it is time to pray the prayer that Paul prayed. "So that his spirit might be saved on the day of the Lord."

lateralus98 04-14-2005 08:48 AM

Gosh I am so hungry. I didn't even realize all I had to eat yesterday was a flippin' hot dog. I hate this new med!

Jackay 04-14-2005 08:51 AM

Thank you SunnyD! :) They are my motivation as well lately.

lateralus98, yikes...that medicine sounds rough. :( Hope you can eat more than a hotdog today. Starving isn't so good for the bod either. :-/

lateralus98 04-14-2005 08:52 AM

I know it isn't. I have to take Adderall XR for my ADHD and since it's an amphetamine-derivative and it lasts 18+ hours, I have a very hard time sleeping and being able to eat regularly. I am starving but there's nothing in the house to eat!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lateralus98 04-14-2005 08:53 AM

But hey at least I feel like cleaning the apartment all of the time ;-)

Jackay 04-14-2005 08:55 AM

*snort* ;)

SunnyD57 04-14-2005 08:58 AM

Good Morning Sherry

Hi again!

Whew! what a week. I went home for the weekend, then when I got back I got called into work at (:30am on Monday worked till 9:30pm then back in at 5:30am till 10Pm, then 5:30am till 1:30pm yesterday, then off for typhoid vaccination ( pills I thought it was going to be a shot) then home to mom/dad then to prayer meeting/ youth group for final practice before we leave this Sat. I have had two clients home sick and 2 E.R. visits in the last few days, and two staff out one with shingles and one who's dad had a stroke, and is having alot of complications so been putting in alot of hours nice to know I was missed. Then I leave with 13 teenagers for South Jersey Sat am for a week, so won't be posting till around the 25th. I had at least 8 pages to read to catch up. But I am caught now. I have bowling then work from 2p-12a today. So still busy, gotta do laundry and pack yet.
E.Z.- Wonderful pics, great looking family, and kids (reba, rylee) I have been busy with youth group along with work but everything done for the trip all costumes made and last practice was last night. Pastor is doing awesome thanks for your prayers, its is suppose to be just a cyst like thing I guess, but not cancerous, and completely safe, not to worrry about it was what He was told. so that was a big answer to prayer. The roses were beautiful! Angie is a pretty lady she is just another rose in a beautiful garder, even without make-up.
M-kay- Honey sounds like you've had it rough, I thought I held the crown for stupid goofs. Heres one for ya, last year when I was flushing out the antifreeze from my camper pipes, I was setting up, and I let the sinks run, and had the shower on because you have to get all the anti-freeze out, before you connect the hoses. I was outside when I heard the pitch of the water change, I went to look and there was water running over the sink, down in all the draws and starting to come out the door. I didn't check to make sure the the levers where pulled that lets it drain into the sewer, instead of being held in the holding tanks. Top that one. It took a while to clean that mess up, and dry everything out.

mrsSmiley 04-14-2005 09:43 AM

Good Morning CEers!!!!

Oh, it's such a beautiful morning here with the sun kissing the grass and blooms of spring's first production and the birds are singing and the little hummingbirds are getting their breakfast after the night's rest. Ahhhh!

WELCOME!!!!!

Anyone else seeking support and encouragement

:sunny:~Sunny~:sunny: You are very welcome for the devotionals. I didn't plan on posting them everyday but it seems they always seem to fit especially the Dieter's Devotionals. If anyone out there struggles daily like I do than we need the guidance and direction that God gives us and I think these help.

I'm actually off from work today but have a million things I need to do. But here I sit drinking my :coffee: and catching up. Next step will be watching my Joyce Meyer that I record daily and then my walk. But I won't be able to post a whole lot today since I have laundry, dishes, vacuuming, etc. waiting for me. Somehow, they never seem to go away. But I'm thankful for the clothes we have, the food we have and the beautiful home God provided for us. So, I guess I can't complain. :D

Gary~ We had our softball meeting Tuesday night and scheduled our games. Our first one is April 28th and the last one without district is June 10th. District will be the middle of July. I wish they could try to schedule them at a warmer time. Kaci has been practicing at short stop and does a pretty good job for the most part. She has a pretty good arm and gets it to first base most of the time. It's really hard finding the right position at this age since their's skills are far from being perfected at ages 6,7,8. :yikes: But I love it.

Michele~ Hope this finds you feeling much better my friend. I hope you aren't doing too much these days. :grouphug: I hope that man of your gets in touch with you soon. Don't ya wish you could make them call when you wanted just by thinking about it? I would be should a crontrol freak if that worked. Just hang in there, patience is a virtue, they say, I don't know anything about it. I have NONE! ;)

Wilma~Hang in there. I know it can be overwhelming but you can do it!!! We know you can!!

MKay~ Hope you are feeling much better now!

Hi!

Sherry! good morning see ya snuck in well I was posting! Love Joyce meyer, you have an awesome day!

Mitchypoo 04-14-2005 10:28 AM

Hello all!

Welcome to the new girls! I'll try to post more individually later, but wanted to welcome you. Please come back and post often.

No call from Eric, but it's ok. I have too much going on, and i'm not sure what happened, but no matter what he could have atleast have called me back. Men are a strange breed.

Struggling a little with staying OP, and i think it has to do with the change in my schedule. I have to learn to adjust to these changes and adapt to them instead of letting them throw me. Goal today is to drink 64 oz. of water and no more fast food.

Margie B. 04-14-2005 11:01 AM

Oh My Gosh . . .

I cannot believe this. . . I have just spent the past half hour or so preparing a post, went to preview it, hit a wrong button somewhere and LOST IT ALL! I cannot believe I did something so stupid! Makes me so mad at myself!

Anyway, WELCOME lateralus98 & Jackay, nice to have both of you with us.

I'll post again later, - guess I'm too busy fuming now :headache: - Margie

Mitchypoo 04-14-2005 11:08 AM

Oh Margie, don't be too hard on yourself. I don't think it's you, it's the system. It's happened to all of us i think at one time or another. But it is so frustrating. If you are organized like our dear Sunny :flow2: you can do your post on a notepad on the computer and then copy and paste and then if you lose it, you can go back to your notepad to paste again, but I never think of that UNTIL i lose a post! :dizzy: So welcome to the club, now it's happened to you sweets!
