GARY ~ glad installing the port went well. Now sending up ^prayers^ for your first round of chemo. I know my Uncle Tom had queasy stomach issues with his first round :barf:; and Pat Belair found it made him tired. I think it depends on what kind they use. Either way, thank you GOD for giving GARY the strength he needs to bear with these treatments, so it can shrink that tumor ...

NELLY ~ that's wonderful news -- PRZ GOD!!! Have fun at your Zumba classes -- they look like so much fun. :D

PRAYER REQUEST ~ Yesterday, I met up with a lady we know, named VERA RECOSKIE -- she has bad arthritis in her ankles and now has to use a cane to help her walk. I am glad that she is a fighter like me, and still gets out. Thank you GOD for her tough spirit, and may the LORD ease the pain when she walks. Vera's husband has advanced Alzheimers and they finally had to put him in the hospital/nursing home here but he seems contented there from what I can tell. Vera just couldn't look after him anymore with her own health issues.

DOUBLE GOOD NEWS UPDATE ~ just wanted to let you know that JEAN's doggie, BO -- is doing really well. He will go for another check-up tomorrow. The Vet is hoping the puncture in his lung will heal on its own; and that the stitches under his arms seem to be healing well too. JEAN asked that we continue to pray for a full recovery for him, esp for his lung; and I assured her that we will.

Plus, I was talking to DANIEL on the weekend and he is doing well too. They have him swimming to strengthen his heart and PRZ GOD, he quit smoking completely (over 3 months now). The gave him a smoking patch for two weeks to help him quit and it worked. :)

Good news Rosebud, praise God.

I'm taking a moment to say hello from my chemo chair. Just Angie and I along with 8 other patients and caregivers. Finding ways to share Christ in our conversations.

God is good. Only 1 more hour.

And, may GOD bless you for that too; and open up their hearts to receive the good news of His Amazing Love! Hope you are feeling OK and are getting lots of rest too ...

UPDATE ~ on my DAD -- they did a test on his heart; he has a heart murmur, but they say that it is OK, so they will be able to go forward with more tests and possibly the surgery in October. He has another kind of test on the 17th of September; and then sees his doctor that afternoon to find out what they plan to do next. He sounded good though.

UPDATE ~ on UNCLE GARNET -- he came home yesterday; and he is still having a few issues with the colostomy bags again, but they are hoping it will be better this time. They sent a different nurse, so we'll what happens. Thanks for all your prayers for both my uncle and my Dad ...

Well day 2 of chemo. Although I have a pump I carry that will continue to put small amounts in until Monday. Because I cant swallow pills because the tumor is closing the opening I need to get it IV style.

That,s about all I have for now other than still finding the AMAZING amount of prayer from my family and friends.

You are the best!

GARY ~ now I understand why you were losing weight so fast, if your esophagus is blocked at the entry to your stomach. Are you able to eat anything at all? Liquids? So, we will keep up the ^prayers^ all weekend until Monday too and beyond, of course. We sure want that tumor gone ...

Thank you ladies.

Rosebud, I have not been able to eat solid food since first week in July. I live on Ensure and health smoothie recipes some cancer friends from church gave me. Water and 2 cups green tea. I am never ever hungry. It is very hard to swallow, I even have to make sure I don't take too big a drink.

I call Ensure my manna from Heaven! Saving my life for now.

166 pounds yesterday for chemo.

Blessings

Gary thank you for keeping us informed , you are amazing. Know that you are in my prayers every night and thank God that you can keep down Ensure.
I have a blessing, It rained! And it Rained ! Our tank , the small one is FULL! An amazing gift from Jesus! Shortly before it rained I went to turn the water off at the well house because of lightening may strike it. A doe seen me, seen me many times but this time she took off, think it was my Hot pink shirt, she tried and tried to jump the fence and she got over into the other field then she was trying again but just could not make it. I could tell she was thirsty and was so hoping God would see that too and he did and he done something about it!
