Thanks so much for your prayers for our friend, OMER ~ we just received a call that he passed away. Could you pray for my husband please, he is very upset right now. Omer was such a good friend to DH -- not only did he help us a lot, he always made DH laugh and accepted him as he was, despite all his problems ... thanks so much!!!

We also prayed that if it was time for Omer to go; that GOD would take him peacefully. He opened his eyes for few minutes when some family was there last evening. From what we know, he passed away as peacefully as he could have. This is the friend that we shared THE SALVATION PRAYER with a while back.

Rosebud I am sorry about Omar, and certainly will pray for your husband, I bet his pain is great loosing such a close and special friend :hug:

Update on MIL Elsie. I went to her apt with her on Tuesday. I am really glad, she had gotten the information all mixed up. She had 2 of 14 lymph nodes with cancer, not what she had said. They say Stage 1, but we have not talked to the oncologist until next Friday. He will recommend treatment and further testing to be sure the cancer is not in other areas of her body. She got very confused at the apt, so I plan to go again and take notes and pass info on to the rest of the family, because MIL's informational email contained info that she was starting chemo on next Friday....oh dear :dizzy:

THANKS, you guys ~ DH is feeling better right now; still the funeral to get through, but he'll be OK. I know he will really miss Omer a lot though. Yes, we are praying for the family too, as Omer had a strong, leadership presence in this family ... we affectionately called him Papa Lefebvre -- the Patriarch. ;)

Nelly ~ will continue prayers for ELSIE; that sounds a lot better and much more hopeful too. Maybe answered prayers just to get that all straightened out. :hug:

Rosebud-so sorry for you and your DH's loss. I'll be praying for you both and for Omer's family.

auntnelly-prayers for Elsie. It will help her a lot to have you along for appointments. I know it helped my mom keep things clear having me along to take notes. Sometimes the docs just go over too many things at once and it takes 2 sets of ears to hear it all:)

Thanks !! I hope to be able to help her keep the facts straight, Elsie's husband comes along, but he is hard of hearing so not the best at helping keep things straight either..He Turned 85 last saturday.

Hate to beg for prayer and run, but....our 5 year old has a very high fever. No other symptoms and took her to the Dr this am, and a negative strep test. No blood work. Without the Mortin, she is having 104 degree temp. thanks for prayers..gotta go and see if it is coming down.
