BACK, MAMADUCK ~ glad you decided to come back and join us. This weight control thing is going to be a life-long journey. Hang in there, keep coming back; it really does help.
This afternoon, I was busy working on my plan of action lists (credit moi). I've been making up list of tools to help myself on this journey: Daily Mini-goals list; Daily exercises (things I can do, starting with 5 minutes & up); Daily Menus (made out enuff for 31 days +); and next job is to make a list of MOTIVATORS (listing all the things that I know will be better in my life once I get this weight off) ... anyone want to share some of their ideas?
PRAYER REQUEST ~ just a small request here among friends: the BIBLE KOPS are loose on another thread; I would appreciate your prayers for that, thanks!
You know, I read my bible every day; and I have spent a lot of time memorizing scriptures in my life: that is, ones that I think would be helpful to others, but I have not memorized the entire bible verbatim, scripture and verse (I mean, how many people can claim to do that?). I have never claimed to be a bible scholar or a theologian either; but I did learn one trick though: to say the book & verse numbers BEFORE & AFTER the actual scriptures, and I found that helped me remember them much better. Do people really think that all Christians should have to memorize the gazillion words in the bible word for word, and where they are? I use search tools to find many scriptures, but they are limited too.
BOOTSIE ~ yes, our NIKO like to bury things too: like his balls and bones and other goodies we give him. I think it is becuz they want to save them for later. Our poor NIKO was a rescued, abandoned dog, so he had many days without food, so I am not surprised to see him burying extra food now. Also, I think that they are trying to hide it from competing dogs. Sometimes, he hides them behind the couch, so we have to watch for that too.
BEV ~ wow, lots of prayers needed there; will put them on my list.
GARY ~ I agree with
BARGOO, I am sorry that you are losing someone that you are so fond of; it seems that your loss, is Canada's gain. Thanks for sharing him with us: often those towns and cities in the far north have a terrible time getting ministers to go up there. My sister and her husband (an ordained Anglican Priest) are working in Manitoba, fairly high up also, but that place is in the Territories (very, very, far north). You know though, that it will be an experience that he and his family will not forget, becuz they say it is very beautiful up there too ...
HI SUGA ~ nice to see you drop by; glad you had a nice trip and that carriage ride sounds fun. We have a stable here that does that too; they do rides for weddings and special festivals that we hold here too.
THANKS, LAURIE ~ the sun showed up today; we went up to the lot yesterday and I got so many black fly bites on my face ...

We went up town to pick up a few things; and picked up a regular apple tree to go with the pollinator (crap apple tree), so then we went up and planted it yesterday afternoon. It kept raining on and off, that's why the bugs came out in force; but PTL, we got it planted and mulched too. We put them right beside each other in the back yard, so they pollinate better; and now, I will be sending prayers that they both grow really well.
HI BARGOO ~ nice to see you drop by ...
Well, just stayed home and did stuff around here, becuz I got lots of walking in yesterday (kudos to me); I'm happy that I did but sometimes it tires my legs out and they feel like jelly by the evening. I put them up for 2 hours this PM; so that should help a bit. Just having some tea right now too.
HI TO ALL OUR CEer's and MIA's out there ~ hope you are feeling OK, and have a
FANTABULOUS FRIDAY!!!
ROSEBUD
^PRAYERS^ are ascending for you and yours ...
