Get better soon, mandalinn!! I'm proud of you for getting your strength training done even though you felt yucky.

I felt yucky because I was having cramps, but I worked out and I'm glad it's over!

I'm so sick that getting up to go to the bathroom seems like a workout. I am definitely taking today off, in hopes that I'll be well enough to get a really good workout (or at least my strength training) in tomorrow or Sunday.

Lilliann, that's great that you've made the commitment to exercise -- welcome to this thread!!

mandalinn, I'm still around -- I just skipped yesterday because I didn't have much choice. I was working all day and didn't get home until 10pm, so I figured that would have to be my day off for the week. Ugh! I wanted to save my day off for the weekend when I'm out of town, but I'm hoping I can squeeze something in at my Mom's house.

today: 60 min 4-mile walk DVD

mandalinn82 11-22-2006 07:48 PM

Liliann - welcome! Absolutely you can join us to have accountability for your exercise! I find it really helprful to have a place where people are expecting me to post - makes me get out and just move!

I still can't believe I did all this exercise this month. I'm in awe that I kept it up and didn't quit. I am really sore after my first body sculpting class but I needed something other than treadmill.

Does anyone know if it is better to eat before workout in the morning so you burn more fat or eat so your not so hungry after workout? Which is better to burn more fat?

loveandlaughalways 11-27-2006 01:17 AM

It is really hard to not pay attention to the scale but I put it in the car to have handy for our ladies group weigh ins at the gym on wednesdays. I am happy to not be able to weigh myself everyday and get depressed. I asked my son if he saw a difference today as I was looking in the mirror and he said, "yes, I see it in your waist." I was so happy!!

sweetbrownie 11-27-2006 03:37 PM

yeah I'm stayin off the scale myself until I can see a noticable difference. I'ma just stay consistent with my eating and exercise.

todays exercise
*60 min walk*

tinabinab 11-27-2006 04:10 PM

Hiya all! I've been MIA since vacation in September. (Costa Rica was fabulous, but I've been totally derailed ever since, though I have luckily only gained a few pounds back.) I'm starting small but getting back in the habit of visiting 3FC - I always stay way more honest with myself when I frequent these forums. :)

Anyway, I just finished doing 25 minutes of brisk walking and climbing the stairs here at work.

loveandlaughalways 11-27-2006 06:41 PM

I just read a great web site on eating before exercise in the morning; they have found a slight amount more fat grams burned if you don't eat before exercise in the morning, but not enough to make up more than a pound in a month compared to eating before exercise in the morning. They say it is more of a preference. I'm sticking with eating before exercise in the morning, that way I am not starving while working out or afterwards and eat the wrong things. http://www.apexfitness.com/html/nutr...rticles/toeat/ it is a great article also spoke about the intensity of the workout.
