Hi gals-Sorry I haven't been posting. I returned from the walk on Monday, but was busy teaching, and had 2 birthday parties, working, and babysitting that I am just now feeling human again. MAN was I EXHAUSTED!!!!!

The Kansas City walk was nice. Different from what I'm used to in Michigan, but a terrific experience all around. I'd urge all of you to seriously think about participating in something like this. It truly is life changing.

Anyways, just cuz I didn't post doesnt mean I didn't walk.

Here's my update

Miles walked - 53.5
Miles to goal - 26.5

I think I'll reach my walking goal, but won't come close to my exercise minute goal this month. Oh well.

Brandy, my MIL was diagnosed with breast cancer in February and has undergone a mastectomy, just finished her last chemo treatment and begins radiation in a few weeks time. Next Sunday, DH and and I are doing a 5k run/walk for breast cancer in honor of her. Sadly, we just started raising money a few days ago but have already raised close to $1000 and are hoping to keep the funds rolling in until run-day! WTG on your walk! I don't doubt for one second that with everything you've had going on you are tuckered out!

Kokomo, good for you for reaching your goal... and striving to top it by 50k! That's phenom!

As for me, still under the weather and haven't walked in a few days. Actually, we're all sick 'round here but we're taking Sunday as a veg-out-and-relax-day so I should be ready to go on Monday. Let's hope anyway.

Hope you're all having a great weekend! Take care and best wishes!

Brandy, I hear you about being super busy, lots going on here too. Good work getting 64mi in thus far! Keep it up!

Kokomo, no, I've never been to Chickadee Ridge. Sounds like fun though.

As for me, I've only managed to get another 6mi in. Ugh. Lagging, big time. Oh well, at least I've got my eating back OP. I'm finally feeling better, that was a nasty cold for sure, so I should be able to at least hit the 50mi mark. Still 10 short but whatever. I'll do better in Oct. <--- Can you believe that October is just a week away?! Man alive.

Anyways girls, I hope you all have a great day! Take care!

Walking 6mi today (3mi each way to meet DH for lunch) -- which brings me only 3 short of my goal. Maybe I'll do a WATPs DVD tonight just to finish things off.

Tomorrow, bright and early, is the 5k Run for the Cure and we're doing it in honor of MIL. It should be pretty emotional for us all. DD will be in the stroller... and we had a pink shirt made up for her that said "Running for Gramma". I think this will be something we do as a family every year from here on out in support of her.

Nothing else planned for the weekend, we might get started on our Christmas shopping after the run tomorrow. We'll have to see.

Anyway, hope you're all doing well. Have a great last day of September... WTG on all of your miles, ladies!

Good morning, walkers! I made my goal of 85 miles this morning by doing the WATP 5 Mile Advanced Walk with all the boosters! I also passed 600 miles for the year and 10000+ steps everyday in September! The effort paid off because I found "Onederland" this week!

Have a great weekend!

Hi Ladies -

Sorry I haven't posted for a loooong time. I had a great 1st half of the month & then came down with the flu.

I was at 90 miles by the 16th...on track to reach 180 miles for the month. Then I had to travel to Seattle for 2 weeks for business and caught the flu on the flight to Seattle. I was SICK...I had every symptom in the book (nose, chest, stomach, fever, etc.). I was down for nearly 2 weeks, which totally derailed my mileage goal. I managed to squeeze in an additional 27 miles while sick with the flu, but that's it. Oh well, I'm feeling better now and I'm doing 15 miles in the morning with my walking buddy.

Hi All:

I haven't been posting much and I haven't reached my goal of 60 miles. I got 50 miles done and feel very good about it. This effort has sent me back to the podiatrist because one knee and one foot were hurting. I've got new orthotics ordered and next month, I'm gonna get that 60 done!
