2nd: treadmill: running 20 minutes, on incline 40 minutes 3rd: Spinning 60 minutes, treadmill walking 15 minutes |

Today DH and I biked a total of 30k... Later during the day I biked to the gym to do back and biceps, after the gym workout I did 10 more Ks... It's a good day, it was gorgeous here today... |
Haven't been able to exericse much so far this month, 'cause my daughter had surgery this past week. But I did manage to squeeze in some walks.

Saturday - 45 min elliptical intervals
Sunday - 45 min elliptical, 100 crunches, 35 min arm workout. Has anyone seen the InStyle arm workout? Its -so- good. Two sessions and my arms already feel tighter. Its designed for brides to fit into strapless dresses. PM me if you want it, I have the whole thing in a word file. |

I would like to join you, if I may. I've been training in a Couch to 5K program, but on my alternate running days have not been doing ANYTHING! I would like to increase my cardio eventually to 5-6x a week and add weight lifting on my alternate days. So my plan would be to run 30-45mins on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays; Run/walk 20 minutes and do weights for 30 mins (or longer depending on routine) on alternate days. For remainder of August, I am going to aim for 4x cardio and 2x weights to baby step into working out nearly every day.
8/15: Ran 24 minutes with interval walking. (2miles at 12 minute/mile) Plan for tonight: Power walk / light jog 20minutes; strength training using body weight - pushups, crunches, leg work including squats and lunges. |

Today I did a killer shoulder workout 50 mins... and 30 min interval walking/jogging... My legs were fried from my leg workout yesterday! |

Thanks for the welcomes. Here is where the accountability hits the road:
Wednesday, I was on plan with a 20 minute cardio walk/jog and then about 45min weight training for total body. But last night was a bust.. I should have done my C25K run which is 25 minutes or about 2 miles for me. I had some afternoon appointments and because my schedule wasn't normal, I didn't go out :rollpin:. Here's the thing, this is my first week where I've set my goal to increase my exercise through more cardio and WT. I know that this is a set up for a lifetime and there will be scheduling conflicts, etc that I will need to work around. On one hand, I know that if I go right back on plan the next day - no harm, but if I pick up complacency along the way, that will be a recipe for trouble. I am very near my weight goal, so I'm spending a lot more focus on discipline of the exercise leg of weight management, so I'm taking this accountability more to heart than normal. Thanks for being there for me. Tonight I will go do my C25K run for 25 minutes along with some walking for 15-20 minutes before and after. And then tomorrow will do some light cardio with WT. Sunday I will try for an active rest day and see if the family wants to go biking or something. |
I went for a walk this morning and ya know??? I think moving begets moving ... I think I'd like to go for a bike ride today too.

So I went for a bike ride too!

Today I biked to the gym (2.5k) once there I did 30 mins of back exercises, then I went for a 25k bike ride... It was hot :sunny: by the time I got home at 11:45!!

Ilene ... you make me feel like schlump!
But at least I'm a schlump who biked this morning. Does it use extra calories to type with a cat on your arm? He's a big cat. |
