Default Help! What happened?

I hope somebody can answer this. I started walking about 2-2.5 miles most days in mid-June and didn't have much of a problem completing that distance every time. Now I am struggling. I feel weak, like my legs won't hold me up. I didn't walk Sunday or Monday and today, I only walked about a mile and it was very difficult.
Has anybody else experienced this and if so, what the heck is it?

Hmm...you mean you started walking mid-June and continued walking every day (or most days) until the present day and this just started happening? Or did you stop for a while and just began walking again?

Nope, didn't stop. Friday was fine, but on Saturday, I really struggled for the last mile or so. Was busy Sunday and Monday, so I didn't get to walk, and today, I felt like I was going to fall out just finishing up a mile. I dunno.

That's very odd...if it were me I'd go to a doctor...I hope you feel better!

You aren't eating enough.

I wouldn't say you're not eating enough, but maybe you're not eating at the right time to fuel for your activity???

I've noticed the same thing on the same bike route I have. I did everything the same except the times I ate and what I ate. Before I was eating an hour or hour and a half before the ride and doing GREAT...coulda done more had I had more time.

The time I had trouble I'd eaten about 15 minutes before leaving. I thought I was going to DIE. I guess the food hadn't had time to get into my body and prepare to fuel the activity or something.

Have you made any changes in that respect? Walking before breakfast instead of after or something? Could be that. Could be how you're hydrated? North Carolina at this time of year the temps are BRUTAL! I'm from South Carolina...I know...lol.

Caffiene is dehydrating. Sweat more, need more water.

Could be you need to see a doc, but try to look at simple things too. It may be something you haven't really thought of.

Good luck and let us know!

Kim

I completely agree with fitbyforty and onekim that it could be something to do with diet, or maybe you're just coming down with a cold or something.

I don't know what kind of diet you are on, but I previously did the Rosemary Conley Hip and Thigh diet which meant cutting out most of the fat from my diet. Over time I just had less and less energy - to the point where I just wanted to lie down when I went for a walk. A diet that cuts out a whole food group could affect how much energy you would have. Is there anything like this that could account for your sudden loss of energy?

I agree with the idea that it's probably your diet... but I'd see a doctor anyway-- just in case.
