Can I join in? I'm just starting up again after having a baby 12 weeks ago. I just got a Leslie Sansone Walk the Walk DVD yesterday so I'm ready to get moving!
I had a nice 4 mile walk this morning putting me at 17 for the month.
My 5K went very well. I think my time was 28:57. I was expecting it to be around 33, so I'm very happy with that. Heck, I'm just happy I ran the whole thing.
July goal = 114 miles

I managed 8.5 miles on the treadmill today...but man oh man that's booooring! I was aiming for 10 miles, but when my hubby called and said he was on his way home, that was all I needed to throw in the towel and jump in the shower. I find it so mentally difficult doing anything more than 5 miles on a treadmill. Maybe I need to change my attitude. Let's seee....Gee, I love treadmills! Maybe I'll walk 20 miles on the treadmill tomorrow!!!! Yeah right!
Brandy, that's a GREAT time for your first 5k. AWESOME JOB!!!!!!!!! After the 3-Day in October I might try running again. After you have a few 5ks under your belt, do you think you'll try a 10k?

Genesis-I agree on the treadmill being boring. I cant do more than an hour on them before I'm ready to lose it. Lucky for me Michigan is cooler than Florida. I'm not sure about a 10K. I've only been running for 6 weeks and I need to see how my ankle holds up over time. If my body can do it, I'll probably try a 10K, but it wont be til next spring I imagine.
I am falling SO behind! First, it was the camping trip, then yesterday I had an all-day class. I have another one on Monday, too. I need to do 6 miles today to catch up for the month (if I average 2.6 miles a day, I'll get my 80 miles by the end of the month).

Everybody is doing a great job this month!!!! I'm impressed! I just returned from 6 miles in the mid-day Florida heat. I literally have sweat pouring down my body (ewwww -gross!). Time for a shower!!!!
I did the first day of Couch to 5K today!! I ended up with 2.25 miles in 41 minutes on the treadmill. I'm still behind where I'd like to be at this point in the month, but I'm making progress.
I walked a mile around town on Friday with DD (16 lbs) in a front-pack carrier. And tonight I did my 2-mile Walk the Walk DVD. Great workout to get me back into the swing of things!
Today I did a total of 4 miles of WATP: Booster Mile with stretchie, Morning with 3 pound weights, and Two Mile Walk (done in 25 minutes)!
I'm still a bit behind, but feeling good about my progress. Tomorrow is another all-day class, but it's my last one before I go back to work on August 16. Of course, before that I have 10 days of vacation--all that driving and camping--how will I ever get my walks in????
