Exercise Accountability -- March

Oh my :o , March is here!! Time to get going and exercising to get fit and lean for when we take those layers of clothing off :carrot: !!

So today I swam for an hour I really love swimming now and I finally am getting the hang of it ....

Misti in Seattle 03-01-2006 11:31 PM

Great job Ilene... glad you got March off to a good start!!

L144S 03-02-2006 01:44 PM

Ok I am in!

March 5 miles

3fcuser1058250 03-02-2006 07:35 PM

Today I walked with a class of kids for 40 minutes, then ran for 55 mins 7.7k... WooHoo it's all good...

srmb60 03-02-2006 07:57 PM

I did 30 minutes of Susan's Stumbling Aerobic Dance! Ha! and if I ever get off this evil machine, I'm going to do some weights tonight. Oh my glory it's been weeks!

kayleystar 03-02-2006 11:06 PM

Well, on March 1st, I did 25 minutes of my "Crunch: Cardio Dance Blast" dvd, and 5 minutes of weights/crunches, for a total of 30 mins exercise.
Today, I only did 10 mins of cardio, as my legs are VERY sore for the first time since I started working out, so I just kept it low impact, and am hoping for them to be better, as I'm literally ITCHING to work out! Crazy! lol

So 40 minutes for the month for me so far....only 660 left to meet my goal!

Katie Bug 03-04-2006 12:14 AM

I decided to be ambitious and set my March goal at 1000 minutes. I did an hour of DDR today, despite my annoying runny nose.

3fcuser1058250 03-04-2006 12:18 AM

Friday I ran to and from the gym, total of 5k, at the gym I did an UBWO ...

JigglyBits 03-04-2006 01:50 AM

I'm in! I'm in!!
Didn't exercise on wed or thurs, however friday I did for about 90 mins: treadmill, rowing machine(10mins), elliptical(12mins), weights(28mins), treadmill(15mins) and an aerobics tape(30mins).
I'll do WWTP4 miles tonight (~50mins) :D

JigglyBits 03-05-2006 03:43 AM

Saturday Exercise: Spinning (15 mins) + Treadmill(20 mins)+ Elliptical(10 mins) = totsl of 45 mins :D

srmb60 03-05-2006 09:48 AM

Oh I exercised yesterday! Ya know, I could hang around in front of the TV doing weights or floor exercises or the ball almost all evening. My problem just lately is cardio. Must work on that.

ThisGirlsLosing 03-05-2006 01:12 PM

Hello Ladies!

Well, let's see, I was doing the treadmill pretty consistently last Fall but the impact was hurting my knee (i have arthritis and weighed 360 lbs then) so I've decided to tone it down on the treadmill and get my legs stronger by doing the recumbent bike while I continue to lose weight (16 lbs gone so far! yay me!).

Because I have to adjust for my knee and the weather here (the colder it gets, the more my knee hurts!) I will be modifiying my workouts. I will bike mostly, but also use the treadmill on warm days, and do the elliptical machine, go for walks, go dancing, etc. - whatever it takes to get my heartbeat up for 30 minutes at a time! (OK, horizontal activities with a partner don't count! LOL) My goal for March is 1000 minutes of aerobics.

My workouts so far:

3/1 - 0
3/2 - 38 minutes, 3.6 miles, recumbant bike
3/3 - 56 minutes, 5.5 miles, recumbant bike
3/4 - 0

On my way to work out today. Will keep you gals posted! :-)

Also, today is my WI day...I will be going in about 1/2 hour (I go to Weight Watchers). Wish me luck!

30 min yoga and pilates today

WaterRat 03-10-2006 12:35 AM

I went to the gym tonight not feeling very like doing much of anything. In fact, what got me to go at all was that earlier in the day my DH - who has a head cold - told me he'd done 50 minutes on the :tread: How could I - feeling fine - opt out of the gym because "I didn't feel like it?" So once there I had several options - :tread:, elliptical, or a body pump class. I went for the class as I knew I'd work a lot harder there than I'd push myself on the others. And I did. Lots of squats and lunges, deadlifts, tris, bis and shoulders, followed by lots of ab work. My poor body - I'll be sore tomorrow, but it was a good workout. I still need to do some more cardio this week, but I think my weight work is done.

Misti in Seattle 03-10-2006 08:05 AM

Yay to all of you! Keep it up, huff puff puff :ebike:

srmb60 03-10-2006 11:08 AM

My friend called this morning and asked me if I'd walk in town with her while her car was getting serviced. We walked 50 minutes in the drizzle and wind ... yakking all the way. It was great!

Katie Bug 03-10-2006 01:05 PM

Misti in Seattle 03-11-2006 12:43 PM

Wow what a great way to start your day, Pat! And Katie, thanks! I will go over the 200,000 mark today yippee!!

I got up early and went to the grocery store... they weren't open so I walked a while and then shopped, came home and prepared a huge crock pot full of all kinds of veggies (to go in the freezer). Then I fixed breakfast and getting ready to go marinate some chicken and chops in a great recipe a friend sent me... to put into the crockpot next. LOL and NOW of course I have to clean out my freezer!!! It is 9:41 and I have in over 5000 steps, yay!

srmb60 03-11-2006 12:54 PM

I cleaned out the chicken house and nesting boxes. Fitday actually has a thingee for that :) I'm going to use that as my cardio for today unless I go for a walk too. It's very quiet in my house today and it's lovely out.
