Does anyone have any good suggestions for an mp3 player, my current one is starting to skip when i run...although i currently use itunes i really don't want to invest 100+ dollars into an ipod. I would appreciate any suggestions.
I bought one for about 60-70 bucks at walmart. It rocks, and i've had no problems with it. it's nice for loading up songs and exercising. I do teh elliptical trainer with it and it hasn't skipped.
I have a Rio Player and I really like it. You could also get a smaller one with less space. I would be even cheaper. I have 2.5 gigs and honestly, I have yet to fill it up and I have a lot of songs and audio books on there.
My boyfriend needed a new player. He couldn't find one he liked in his price range and wanted something small to workout. He finally gave in and spent a little extra on an Ipod Nano. He absolutely LOVES it. Not 5 minutes would go by without him running up to show me what cool things he could do with it LOL I admit, it really is worth the money. But I still like mine just fine even if it is not as fancy
I totally recommend an ipod. They're expensive, yes, but totally worth it! I got the 30GB video one, and I love it. I've tried so many other players and I think you're better off investing in an ipod because it'll last you a long time.
I like my Creative Genius but have nothing to compare it to. I can say the battery life is quite long. I bought it mainly to download audio books but will hopefully start downloading songs to walk to!
I have a Sony MD (MiniDisc) player and love it! I can have several songs on several different discs and swap them out. My dh got it for me for Christmas.
I really love my little Cowan Iaudio U2. It's tiny, has superb sound and a great interface for organizing your music (plus built in radio). I have the 1 gig version which I think is currently about $120 but you can get smaller versions for less.
One note about the shuffle vs the nano - Apple now has a 1GB nano out for $149, while the shuffle is $99. One of the features I really wanted was to be able to create different playlists and play songs randomly inside them. So I have a warm-up playlist, a treadmill playlist, a dance play-list and a cool-down playlist. I then put that playlist on random and always get an appropriate song for my activity, but I never know what it will be. If this is a feature that you want, then you will want to spend the extra and get the nano. The shuffle is like having one giant playlist and you can either play it in order or put the entire play list on random. So, it really depends how it will be work for you.
