I have a suggestion regarding the kids wanting to play with thier mom's fitness ball. If you go into Walmart and go to the Toy section you might find those giant balls they have there for kids. They are very cheap....less then $5.00 I think and the kids can use that as thier ball.
Just a suggestion from a mom of 3 kids over 15 years of age (I miss the years when mine were little )

You know, I've seen people on TV using their exercise balls as computer chairs. I wasn't sure if it was part of their exercise program or if they were just doing what a lot of people do with their treadmills -- use them for something else.

Thanks for all the helpful input. I'll probably put mine in the laundry room or in the corner of my bedroom (that way it's not out of sight) until I'm ready to maybe work with the kids with it (I'm afraid if I got more than one, someone would definitely get hurt).

About the only store I have in town is WalMart. I have a Beal's Outlet...often they have discounted exercise equipment. I'll just shop around.

Thanks again!

A lot of people get the core secrets infomercial tapes, they come with a free ball and after you watch the tapes you can return them and keep the ball. (Unless you like the tapes) and it is a really good burst-resistant ball.

I have a stability ball (65 cm one) which I bought at Wal-Mart for 20 some dollars. It was really worth the money...I got it last year and used it for about 3 months and it actually toned my torso a bit but then I deflated it and put it away. Today I inflated it back and I am ready to use that puppy! I can't wait to start using it again, cause it is really fun and so easy.

that's exactly what my 4 year old did with me. i started exercising on mine, and she ran to the playroom to get her ball and did it all with me. even the breathing. my 3 yo could care less, and she kinda just stares at us. but i think it's kinda neat my oldest likes to exercise with me on her ball.

that being said, i absolutely love the thing. i'll do a cardio or strength training exercise during the day, then at night i'll break out the ball and do one of its workout vids. it really relaxes me and makes my back feel so much better.
