Default Exercise for a restful night

Please please please, give me some evening exercise ideas that will assist me in getting a restful nights sleep. Out of the last 7 nights, I've slept 3 times.

I'm still exercising, but I'm so tired. I ended up exercising hard for 2 hours on Saturday to tire myself out enough to sleep, (and it worked) but I dont have the energy to do that every day. So I was thinking that I would do my regular workout in the morning, and then something relaxing in the evening before going to bed.

Help Please!!!

Kathy

Are you exercising at home or in the gym? If at the gym, I often go for a night swim, about 9pm and sleep like a baby! Well not like a baby because I am not waking in the middle of the night screaming coz I wet my nappy, but you know what I mean!!!!

Also I sometimes do weight training of an evening, going quite slow but at a fairly heavy weight that also exhausts me and gives me a good noight sleep.

Final suggestion is a yoga work out, there is an Aussie dvd called Yogalates (in fact a series of em) which I haven't tried but might be good, something in that genre anyway.

Let us know how you get on.

Thanks for that Kykaree,

I thought about going for a swim in the evenings, but when i start back at school in 4 weeks (evening classes) it wont be possible, so I want to do something before i start back.

I have a yoga dvd, with 5 different sessions on it, so I'll try one of those tonite and see if it works. I'll send dh and dd to bed soon and give it a go.

thanks

Kathy
