Since there is no such thing as spot reducing, increase cardio to bur fat, watch your food intake and try to eat as cleanly as possible.
Pilates has some great ab & leg work and also some moves that really hit the hips area.
Floorburn from the Kickbutt series, hits the hip/thigh area and in a very good way.
To preview a clip of it go to http://www.whfn.com/videos.phpand click on the Floor burn cover towards the bottom. It is geared for more advanced levels, but can easlily be modified for begin/inte levels as well.

How true....spot reduction isn't real. I've found that as I've lost it's really been an all over loss. However, the biggest parts of me went first. Of course, I didn't really notice the loss until I lost about 15 pounds.

Yep, spot reducing is a myth... The best way to lose is a good low fat but good fat healthy food plan, intense cardio and weight training....

That said some good lower body exercises are lunges, squats, walking lunges, leg presses...
