Jumping (jogging, walking, biking) In...
Hi to all. I hope it is okay that I jump on board this forum. I am in the process of shedding my old self for my new self (ie. losing a hundred and thirty pounds - of which I am down twenty five). I have a metabolic disorder which has slowed my metabolism signficantly so exercise is a vital and necessary part of my life. I like to cross train so I kick box, walk, bike, swim and cross country ski. I have an elliptical and a treadmill so I am fortunate to be able to mix things up. I have a young family so a gym is not a choice for me at this time. I am disciplined and able to manage fitting 60 minutes of activity in each day. I do work with a personal trainer so I have some great support from a very educated man (however, it was embarrassing initially to roll myself into shorts and a t-shirt and exercise with a very pleasant looking and acting man). I have been struggling with a foot injury (plantars fascitis) since January and I am just now starting to enter back into the activities that I love (I had been swimming - which I enjoy but bathing suits are not my preference when t-shirts and sweats are available!). I plan to give myself one year to get this weight off and I am serious about improving the quality of my life.
So that is me. I look forward to posting my activity on the accountability post and getting to know you wise women (and maybe men) on this board.
It is great to share different ideas and try new activities to help one get to where they need to be (at goal!!!).
Cheers,
