LOL......Actually I was doing pretty good, until it started to rain, then i kinna pooped out....so I got out the video's I collect....and did some of them.....but once something better came up...I stopped for a day, then two...and pretty soon a wk. went by. And really there is no excuse.....just lazy...although I can find several good reasons if anyone wants to hear one.....Geez.So here I am...committing myself to the group..to get back on track...and STAY on track, and feel free to push me out the door! Take care.

Hello there!

Where are you? I doubt I'm close enought to come push you out the door but if I was, I would!

I think I've finally got my butt in gear, I started by trying to walk a little each day and found every excuse in the book not to do it. It's too hot, I'm really out of shape and will be huffing and puffing. So I stole the exercise bike that has been at my parents' house and have started by biking 1 mile when I get home from work. I did that for a week and then I stepped up and did a mile in the morning too! I am going to work my way up to five miles a day and then who knows where I'll go from there!! I've also been doing ab crunches and an upper body routine with light weights and I think (don't tell anybody) that I may be creating a new habit!

Spoke with my father today, he's average height and weight and for his high blood pressure, he has been on the Protein Power diet and in 5 weeks his blood pressure is normal and he has lost 20 pounds! A friend of my parents' has lost 100 pounds in less than 6 months. I've always sort of gravitated toward The Zone and the Protein Power diet is very similar so I'm thinking I'll give it a try. I have 8 weeks until I go over to the U.K. for a visit (I live in Canada) and would at least like to be feeling great and ready for adventure. One of our planned stops is at the castle where part of "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" was filmed and we may re-enact some scenes from it!

Consider yourself pushed out the door!! LOL. Get Jets!!
