Hey folks! Sorry it took me so long to get back on! Between Friday and Yesterday I did 6 hours of house cleaning (scary huh??) so I'm counting that for those two days...planning to go to the track tonight. Looks like everyone's doing great--3 days down!!!

Default Have I lost my mind?

I got out an old Tae Bo tape by Billy Blanks..it's his first one that is instructional but it has squats and punches..and I hung in there for 22 min..Making my grand exercise total today 57 min..Good grief..I am also reading Body for life for women. It's a pretty good book so far.. This is a totally health oriented day and I am even eating the way this type 2 diabetic should and I feel GREAT...Cindi

It took some doing, but I did 20 minutes rebounder and went for a 30 min walk. And I inflated my bike tires at last - tomorrow's exercise!

well....I'm unfortuantely forced to drop out of the challenge.

My back {I have severe scoliosis} slipped, and I can barely move. Won't be able to exercise much for at least 3 weeks, and really shouldn't until I get in to see the specialist again for it.

Oh no, that stinks!! I know you must be in a lot of pain. That's OK, maybe well do it again next month and you'll be able to join.

I didn't get to go to the track Sun night b/c hubby didn't get home in time, but yesterday I spent over an hour swimming at the lake, plus I did some walking around the camp ground so I got to make up for it. I'm thinking of doing tae-bo tonight, but it's been so long I'm afraid I'll kill myself...LOL. Oh yeah, lost another pound this week--woo hoo!!

Talk to y'all later!

I love swimming. We have a lake close by I should do that. I don't have a suit but anything will work there. Good for you on the exercise and the losing.. I am hoping to dust my bike off today too. Cindi

Default Another day down.

20 Min on my gazelle and only 10 min on my regular bicycle. My legs are just shaking. I was on it about 10 min last summer too...so I am sure out of practice. Haven't really riden since I was a kid. And that was a VERY LONG TIME AGO. Have good evenings all. CIndi

Cindi - congrats on getting out on your real bike! I did too, managed 30 minutes. But I went to spinning classes thru much of the winter - until I fell xcountry skiing and hurt my tailbone. It still hurts sometimes, like right now after my little ride. Don't worry about being shaky, it's amazing how quick the learning curve is on bike riding. And your legs should be pretty strong from the gazelle.

Not too many reports tonight - are we the only ones exercising?

Carol

Default Carla it just seems to be us!

Good Morning Carla...Maybe everyone is recovering from the 4th. My legs should be really strong if not from the gazelle from carrying around all of this weight all of these years. But the muscles that I use for biking must be different...they felt like they were going to go out from under me. My son goes down to our local gym everyday for 1.5 am and 1.5 hours pm. I just asked him about it. He says the muscles that you use to walk are in your calves..the muscles that you use to bike are the ones that run down the front of your thighs (the quadriceps). Mine must be on STRIKE! Time will make this better for me I know. I'll just add alittle time each day. Have a good day. Cindi

I feel you guys on the bike riding--I used to take 12-mile bike rides but now I don't know if I could get 12 feet. Plus, it REALLY makes my rear hurt, and I even have one of those big squishy seats!! Didn't get to exercise last night b/c hubby came home too late and I'm not sure how tonight's going to go because we're under a flood watch so I can't exercise outside and hubby is supposed to get home late again--maybe my son will take a late nap and I'll be able to get some exercise inside with a video or something...otherwise I'll be due for an hour and a half tomorrow!! You guys are doing great--keep going!!
