I am SO BAD!

Guess who didn't go to the gym this morning!! I don't know what is wrong with me these past 2 weeks! I have NO interest in exercising, and I just want to sleep!
I'm glad you're sending me a kick in the butt, Marvin, because I sure need it!
Last night I did do some upper body + ab work -- but I didn't feel like doing a tape, so I just did some pushups, tricep dips, and crunches on my own. I don't feel like I did enough though, so I'm going to close the door to my office + sneak some in on my lunch hour!

I keep some 5lb weights in my office, so I can do some arm exercises at my desk.
I'm eating very low-cal for breakfast + lunch today, since I feel like I overate yesterday and am going out tonight.
I feel like I'm headed towards a slippery slope, not wanting to workout and eating a bit too much -- I've got to get back on track before it's too late. I also think part of the problem is that I'm a)not getting enough water, which is making me tired and b) I've gotten really frustrated with my long plateau, so I feel down + grumpy and very "why bother"-y. I know why I should bother, and that I'll feel better, but my attitude towards my workouts has gotten a little negative -- which makes it harder for me to motivate to do them when I don't want to.
My kudos to both Nettie + Marvin, who are doing MUCH better with their plans.
Marvin: Indian food is based on various curries, served with rice or nan, a puffed bread somewhat like a pita. Some of it is healthy, and some of it decidedly is not.

It does tend to be spicy, but there are definitely mild dishes for those who don't want to go that route. It is one of my very faaaavorite kinds of food, and I am complete sucker for it.
And congrats on your "babies"! Oh, how I wish I could have a kitten!
Nettie: I've never talked to my doctor about starting a diet/fitness program! Such is the result of the HMO system -- I think I've seen my primary care physician maybe once or twice in the last 3 years. Luckily I can see my ob-gyn without a referral, so those are pretty much the only doctor's trips I make!
It sounds like you're doing great, and having a lot of fun with the bike! I know what you mean about the distance! Sometimes I look at the distance on the stationary bike at the end of my workout, and it's boggling! Who would think we'd "traveled" that far?
Sigh. Well, I'm going to have to work hard over the weekend to make up for my lapses over the past few days. Better move my butt before it gets any bigger!
