I THINK, DDR is Dance Dance Revolution, a tape, I THINK... not sure...

Just had a really good 6.2k run, but it was hot and humid and I didn't run as well as I usually do ... I ran at 8pm and now it's 10:20 and I'm wired for sound, can't win

So Ilene, did you finally get Un-wired and to sleep? I hope so. I made myself go to bed at 10:30 so I could get into the gym this AM. I got in a 50 minute run - about 4 miles (had trouble keeping an accurate lap count) and then a good shoulder work-out.

Hi Tikanique,

Yup, DDR is in fact the video game "Dance Dance Revolution". The game plays up tempo dance music and scrolls a series of arrows up from the bottom of the screen. The arrows arrive at the top of the screen on the music's beat, by which time your feet are supposed to step on the corrisponding arrow on the plastic dance pad that you're standing on while playing. Arrows come at you in rapid succession and you end up doing all kinds of steps that almost feel like dance moves, especially since everything happens on the beat. It's a lot of fun and it's a decent workout, especially as things get harder and the arrows come at you quickly.

Yeah, I'm not big on dancing myself, but I do love music, and I have to say that dance music is pretty good stuff. I'm surprised at how much I enjoy the songs that go along with this video game -- many of them disco. Today I did another hard 30 minutes on my elliptical (Green Day's "American Idiot" on my headphones again) and then I jumped right off and tried to get an "A" grade on my dance performance on this great techno tune "Busy Child" on "light" difficultity level in DDR. This is pretty tough, as the song title suggests, you gotta get busy to do well in this song. And now for those of you who are following along at home:

Activity: Elliptical Trainer + DDR
Date: 06/02/05, Duration: 01:01:29
HR Average/Max 147/179, Kcal: 1300

Just back from a fast 20k bike ride, it was gorgeous no wind, but lots of little bugs, so I had to shut my big mouth ...

Hi all,

Got up this AM and hit the gym for chest and tris. Then drove back home to put my clothes in the dryer and do Tae Bo. I've never done Tae-Bo after lifting weights and it was harder!

JFU, if you want a really vigorous workout, then by all means, come clean MY house instead. We both are in Michigan and I will gladly give you directions!

I followed JFU's lead yesterday and cleaned house top to bottom. Today I got in a good back workout - didn't skip the deadlifts - and then an hour of Tae Bo. I can't wait for bed time now cause I am WHOOPED!!!
