I agree, try not to pay attention to the lbs, but rather what clothes you can fit into and how you feel is very important!!!

Hardly anyone in my belly dance classes was small or skinny. As a matter of fact, the best dancers had a few extra pounds. As Blues suggested, check out the belly dance thread. A lot of those ladies are much more knowledgeable than I am. I just do it for fun. They have great video and thread suggestions.

hon, if you are losing 6 pounds a week there is something wrong. Honestly, i lost a lot of weight last year and i did it quickly, without making a lifestyle change- so here i am, 10 pounds heavier and trying to lose it all over again. Unrealistic dieting does so much more harm than good, take it slowly! Youre young and have so much time, don't worry about your weight at the moment. Focus on eating healthier and getting some exercise. A lot of my friends were chubby in middle school and in high school, but now that were 19 and in college we all have grown, matured, and dropped some of that 'baby fat'. Trust me, you don't want to start worrying about this stuff until its absolutely necessary
