Default Foot pain

I ran/walked for 45 minutes on my treadmill last night and now I have pain along the left side of my foot and ankle when I walk. When I sit there is no pain at all. When I run/walk on the treadmills at the gym and outside on the greenways I have never experienced this before. Has anyone ever experienced this? I am really afraid this will throw off my exercise routine, I have been doing so good! Any suggestions.

Thanks
JKB

The first thought that comes to mind are your running shoes.... How old are they? If they have more than 800-1000ks on them it's time for a change, this is what the Running Room store advised me was the life of a running shoe. When you replace them go to a reputable running shoe store and they will watch you walk and recommend the proper fit...

JK

When you had you shoes fitted at Christmas were they fitted in a reputable running store? Even if they are worth a lot of money, if they are not the proper fit for your foot they could hurt ... A friend of mine was having problems with her fingers going numb on her left hand, when she changed runners the problem went away...

Hi, I've been getting that problem recently. Especially when I run on the tredmill. I just got some new shoes hopegully it will work. I think for me, its because I still have a lot of weight on my feet to be running on. When I was smaller, running never hurt my feet. I'm hopeing the new shoes will help.

Well my foot is swollen. So I have dr. appt. tomorrow to look at it. We will see what she says. I guess I do need a professional's opinion on my shoes. I just bought well cushioned running shoes on zappos.com.

Well the doc said that I have sprained a tendon or have a stress fracture. There is really nothing you can do but stay off for a week and take antiinflammatories. He didn't take x-rays because there is nothing really too see, not a true break. So hopefully by a week I will be better. I REALLY NEED TO EXERCISE SO HOPEFULLY IT WILL HEAL. Thanks for your support and pray for a speedy recovery.

Oh poor JK!

I hate having to REST UP on medical advice! I recently broke my toe and BOY was that frustrating! I tried swiming for a little while which made me go less stir crazy!
