Default Gosh..

Hey ladies! I completed another week of doing my 3x workouts. I should actually start going more again, bc thats when i lost the most weight. Im just frustrated with life. I dunno. Anyway. Our summer challenge is to workout 3x a week for 15 weeks straight. If you dont then you get a strike by your name and when you have 3 strikes your out. If you finish without being out then you win a curves shirt of your choice. Ive done is 3 weeks so far but its gotten so hard. Its like I had to go m-f or i didnt feel complete and now its like..i struggle to get out of the door. I dunno. I dont want to make excuses bc i know its just me and im using things to not go. Im SO frustrated with life. Anyway. Im still getting my 3 workouts in but i havent been watching what im eating. I may go to the weightloss class again, i felt like when i did that i was inspired to keep it up every week. Any advice? lol. Have a nice week ladies! Byee

Interesting tidbit one of the employees at Curves told me today. She gave me a copy of the current Curves magazine and was telling me about a story featured in the last issue about a gal who was very thin who went to Curves not to lose weight of course, but for the strength training. She was attacked one day and was able to fend off her attacker. She stated that she didn't think she could have managed that if she hadn't been going to Curves, because she'd previously had no strength or muscle.

Hi Everyone..
Sorry I haven't been posting lately...busy at work (can you imagine??)
Anyway...I've started back to Curves this week M & W so far since my vein surgery..
Boy...it's harder this time since I had a 2 week leave from it....
Cutie....I know what you mean about trying to get back in the swing of things..my eating has also been terrible lately..well, actually for a while now..I got married in October and have since gained 28 lbs!!!!! I can attibute 10 lbs of that for the 3 weeks or so that I quit smoking, but now I'm back on the butts a bit and it's preventing me from attacking the vending machine...I think I'll do baby steps and keep the smoking to a minimum..concentrate on working out and get the eating under control. We might be having a WW meeting at work, waiting to hear if they are going ahead with it...
I do believe that getting involved in a weightloss program definately gets you motivated. I do suggest you go back to what worked for you in the past...
My Curves put a beach scene on the wall which believe it or not is a motivator in itself...
Good luck everyone...keep posting and I'll try to work less...lol

Man this summer schedule is killing me. I went from going to curves 6 days to down to like 2 or 3 only bc all my workouts have to be in the evening and Im doing some step classes got to get to a steady 3 days there. Im STILL plateauing going on 2 months now. I need to lay off those Cheez its after 6 pm I guess lol. Happy workouts today.

I've been going to Curves for almost 2 months now and I love it! It's definitely different from the regular gym i used to work out in for 1 1/2 hrs or more 3 days a week. I go 3-4 times a week and go 3-4 times around each time. The scale has not been in my favor lately but the inches have started coming off. If i could get my eating back on track I would do so much better. My will power stinks!

Hey ya'll I think Im going to get back into curves more during the week than I have been in the last 2months. The scale is moving like a snail. My friend who works there suggest I lay off so much gym time with step I was doing 3 days a week I need to get the inches down and need to tone. SO Im heading back to 3 or 4 days a week. I was slacking off to only 2. Happy workout day!!!

I've tried Curves several times. Last summer, and then I tried again this summer. It never worked for me. But I'm glad it works for other people, cuz I know it does. Everyone's different when it comes to how you lose weight, I guess.

I'm new here and I have been going to Curves for about a month now. I am also restarting the South Beach Diet which worked really well for me last year, I lost about 35 pounds. Then my dad died and I got off track and gained part of the weight back. Now I want to get losing again before I gain it all back. I look forward to meeting people on these boards. I actually found it from the ticker link from someone's sig on the South Beach Diet.com boards.

Hello everyone,
I joined curves on june 3rd and have been going 5 times a week and I really like it! It is so different than the Gym I use to go too. and being just for women really helps!
I am also doing the Atkins way of life now and started that on may 15th.
I was really shocked when at curves they weighed me in at 280.5 and a body fat of 48.7!! OH MY LORD I had no idea I had gotten so bad. so now I am looking forward to july 3rd to see if anything has changed. sure do hope so!!

Now I'm bummed. When I joined May 4, my arms were 11.5" and my thighs 24.25". I just had them measured today, of course I forgot to have it done before the workout, but figured not that big of a deal. Just wanting to be sure all the pregnancy weight is going front and not all over. And I'm hoping it was because I transferred to another location and maybe she just doesn't measure the same as the previous place. I dunno. But my arms are 12.5" and my thighs 25.25"...1 inch on each. Then again, maybe it was Olive Garden's chocolate lasagna yesterday. Ya think?

Hey! Just found out about this website. I jined Curves 3 weeks ago and absolutely love it! I am a bit frustrated as I have been working out everyday and have only lost 5 lbs. so far. But, I'm going to keep with it, if nothing else I feel like I've done something everyday.
