Question water aerobics?

I will be starting water aerobics classes this weekend. I have been suffering with chronic back pain for 6 months now and find other modes of exercising irritating to my lower back. I know all of the benefits of exercise in water, but the one thing I am concerned about is pain afterwards. Would love to hear from others who have tried this and curious whether your pain was better or worse after the class.

Default

never had pain afterwards. really and truly!!! and this from a woman whose doc can't figure out why i'm not begging for knee replacements!

i've done water aerobics mostly when i've torn the cartilage in my knee and could barely walk. i was in so much pain that even gently bouncing in the water and touching bottom hurt like the dickens.. but a few modifications, like sitting on those wonderful supportive water noodles, made it all possible. no pain. really.

go enjoy. and even better, if you can get it, the whirlpool afterwards!!!!
