I hope everybody is ready today! I know I am! I already did my level two this morning before work! Also keeping track of my weight/measurements over these 10 days to see if there's any significant change (I know there will be!)
Good luck on the Challenge Today! Looking forward to seeing how everyone is doing! |
Hi All I have been reading your post for about a week and have decided to join you on your challenge....
I have been doing a combination of a few things... basic theory is the Sparks... do 3 (10) minute (or more) workouts a day.... I am doing Power 90 cardio/curcuit in the am... been doing oxy at lunch (before I eat) and then walking the dogs 1 1/2 miles at night... Just started this yesterday this way so we shall see.... Is everyone just doing Oxy once a day? The tapes that I have say do it twice a day.... I am just curious.... Good Luck All.... |
Hi Oers!
I did my L4 this morning and I feel great:)! Day one of ten. I know I can do this. Angel-Hi I know you from the Power 90 thread:)! I'm glad you decided to join us. I only do Oxycise once a day but you can do it more if you like. The more you do the quicker the results. I also do the Spark program like you and I use Oxycise as one of my stretch routines. I usually do my O first thing in the morning. I'm glad you joined us:)! Way to go Juliette. I'm going to do my O first thing in the morning too. I have to make sure to get through this 10 day challenge. Thanks for the motivation and for starting this thread:)! Okay how is everyone else? |
Hi everyone!
Hi, Juliette! Thanks for starting this thread and YES, I AM READY! :D Good for you, Angel! Glad you decided to join us! The more the merrier!!! It sounds like you’re a very active lady! I am doing Oxycise! once a day, and twice on the days I can (which lately seems so difficult to do with our family’s schedules right now!). Definitely, the more you do Oxycise! the faster the results! Just do what you can without burning out or turning yourself off of doing it. Hi, Rose! Glad to see you here too—you’re an inspiration to me too!!! Yes, you can do this! I know you can!!! :D Thanks for the inspiration and motivation everyone! Hope we have more join us. Good luck everyone! Susan R. :) P.S. Oh yea, I forgot--I DID LEVEL ONE TONIGHT! LOL! |
Day 1 and counting!!!
I did level 2 this morning. I really wanted to try and do O more than once a day, but I got into some posion ivy over the weekend and it's giving me fits. It's all over my legs and arms. The doctor sent out some medicine, so maybe tomorrow will be better.
Juilette, I was going to measure this morning, but I forgot. I guess I'll do it tomorrow. |
Hi!
Good to see you all Oxycising! I did my level one today and also measured. One of these days I'll get brave enough to try level 2 again, but this will do for now. I have wanted to do O more than once a day, but never seem to get around to it. I do know that I feel better when I do my oxycise. I'm also eating better now. I hope to see some pounds and inches go off in the next 10 days, and then to keep going until I get rid of 70 pounds of ugly fat! Nancy PS Sorry, to hear about the poison ivy, Barb. You must really itch!! I can remember way back when I was a girl the "cure" was lye soap!! |
Day #2
Sounds like everybody is doing a great job!!!! Keep up the good work!
Barb - so sorry to hear about the poison ivy! How painful! But it's great that you are at least able to do L1! Angel - welcome!!! I normally do my O! only once a day, usually in the mornings. In the evenings I'm either working my part-time job (where I'm on my feet for four hours) or I take my dog for a walk. However, I was reading Jill's Oxycise book and it said that fat is actually Carbon Dioxide - and that that was why the breathing works! So, I plan to up my workouts to at least twice a day and see what difference that makes! DesertFlower - so great of you to join us over here! I think ALL of us have to lose at least a few inches by doing this! I know that if I do O! at least 6 days straight, I lose an inch or two. After 10 days it should be even more! Susan and Rose - keep up the great work! Well, back to work... Hope everybody had a great day 2! Did my level 2 this morning and hope to fit in level 1 before bed! |
Good Morning Everyone:D!
I did my L4 this morning. Two days in a row. Amazing. I was tempted not to get up but I did and I'm glad that I did:)! Susan R-I know what you mean about a busy schedule. Boy do I ever:mad:! But I think doing O once a day is really good and gives great results. I've done O twice a day for about a week once and it really does speed up the results but I'm just happy to be able to do it once a day:)! I'll probably do L2 tomorrow. I figured it out and L4 is about 19 minutes but I think L3 is about 23 minutes so the time factor does play a role for me in the mornings. It's great to see your post:)! Juliette-Good job. I'm trying to keep up with you:). I figured if I can do it for 10 days then I should be able to keep it up. Nancy-Good job on the level 1. I love level 2 but it does take a little getting used to. I think L2 is my favorite followed by L4 and then the abs/upper body video. They are all great but those are my favorites:). Barbg-I'm so sorry to hear about your poison ivy:(. I hope you feel better soon. I'm not sure if I would have done O if I had it but good job on doing it even when you aren't feeling the best. Now I really don't have an excuse to skip O!:) Okay I'll check back later to see how everyone is doing today. I'm starting to feel really good and it's only been two days of doing O! :) |
OOOOOoooooo!
Day 2 of level 2 day: Day3 of posion ivy! I hurt so bad last night I didn't even go to church and that's a lot for me to miss church on Wed nights. But I went home, took a hot shower and doctored my splatches, took an antihistimine and went straight to bed. I do feel some better today.
I know that I really do better when I can O twice a day and I really intended to do it on this challenge, maybe tonight I'll feel like it. But maybe not... I also forgot to measure this morning, maybee tomorrow, maybe not... Hope everyone keeps this up. The momentum of having all of you O'ing with me is GREAT! :D |
Hi everyone!
Oh my goodness, life is just way tooooooo busy around here!!! I really could have talked myself into going straight to bed tonight (we didn't eat supper until 9 p.m.)., but I knew I had made a commitment to myself and all of you here, so I did Level 1--thank you! I feel so much better just knowing I did it! :D Having said that, however, I'm off to bed! Susan R. :) |
Hi!
I know this says 5/18, but it's still 5/17 here, and I nearly forgot to post! I did my level one again. I think I'm going to stick with one for a couple weeks at least, before I go on to two. There was one position in two (putting your leg behind you and grabbing your ankle) that I was unable to do when I tried it. I think I want to be more limber first. I did measure yesterday, so I'll know where I started. I measure the works--all the way from the neck to the ankles. Maybe it will seem like more that way. I just found out today that I got the new job that I wanted, and will start Monday, so we went out to celebrate this evening--salad and steak and potato. Hope it didn't ruin my "diet" too much. (Not dieting, but trying to eat wisely.) I must close now, as it's after 10 pm. Will see you all tomorrow. Nancy |
Everyone's DO!ing Great!
Nancy - Congratulations on the new job! That is so wonderful! I hope you enjoyed that steak- you totally deserved it!
Susan - Wow! Wanting to go to bed and still doing your O! That is true dedication cause I have been in that situation SOOOO! many times and have always made the WRONG decision! Congratulations! I'm glad this challenge is helping! Barbg - I love it! Maybe tomorrow... maybe not! How cute! "Maybe Tomorrow" is actually my favorite phrase, I have it on my license plate, except it looks like "mab2mro." Rose - You will definitely be able to do this for 10 days! I'm sure you've done it longer than that at times... Thanks for continuing to post despite your busy schedule. I love reading your posts cause you have something great to say to EVERYBODY in here! I did my level 2 this morning, and to be honest, I almost didn't! I am on vacation (although staying at home) until Tuesday and when I woke up this morning I almost used the vacation as an excuse to slack, but, I thought about you guys and did it ANYWAY! Of course my dog kept wanting to join me, so I might do it again later to make up for any missed positions. Well, gotta get ready for the rest of my day! Boyfriend is moving to Georgia on Sunday, so this weekend is going to be crazy! Hopefully the O! will keep me sane! :spin: |
Hi Everyone:wave:!
Juliette-Thank you:)! You really make me feel good! It was so funny because it was so hard for me to get up and do my L2 this morning. But I did and it was all because of the challenge. I kept saying "how can I not do it and its only the third day" so I did it. And I'm so glad I did. How many tapes of O do you have? I have all of them except the thigh ones. Level 2 is still my favorite though. Thanks for being so motivating:)! Barbg-Way to go on getting you O in:)! I hope that poison ivy is gone by now. Hey on a brighter note, the extra O will help your body heal faster:)! Nancy-Way to go on getting your O in:). I know the position that you are talking about. There are some positions on every tape that I don't like as well as others so I just substitute the ones I like from other tapes in their place. I have a hard time in L4 with the dippers. Those are still a killer for me but I just substitute another tricep exercise for those. In the long run it really doesn't matter just as long as you get your O in! Keep up the great job. Susan R-Boy do I know where you're coming from:)! I have the same problem but isn't it great when you do the O even when you're pressed for time. I always feel so good afterwards:). Way to go on doing O even when you're tired. Okay that's it for me. I'll check in later but I'll make sure to post this weekend just to stay legit:)! |
I did my "O" today, and would like to do it again this evening. I never have done it twice in a day.
Tomorrow and Sunday will be the hardest. It seems that weekends without the regular workday schedule make it harder to fit in and/or remember. My clothes are looser than they were a week ago. And I'm trying to find clothes in my wardrobe suitable to wear at my new job. Most of my clothes are too casual. I don't think I told you what my new job is. Please don't shudder. I'll be a family counsellor at a funeral home/cemetery. You can see why my wardrobe will need to be more professional. (Actually, it's a job where you can show people that you care, and can be of help to them at a very difficult time. Also we help people plan in advance so their families don't have so much trauma at the time of death.) I have done this before, and like being able to help people. will talk to you all later. Nancy |
Saturday O!
I did it! I think this is the first Saturday since I bought the program that I have actually done my O! And it was really great! For some reason I felt more into it than usual, although it could just be because it is later in the morning and I am more awake, but still, I'm sooO! glad I did it!
Nancy - I think that's a great job - especially if it fulfills your need to take care of people. I think that's what's lacking in my current job, I don't really help people much at all... with the exception of my boss, and I'm not going to go into that subject. However, because of that "lack" I am currently seeing a career coach to help me find a position better suited for me. Rose - I have Levels 1 and 2 right now. I LOVE level 2 and am happy just doing that one. I've debated getting more, but I'm financially tight right now, so I'm going to wait until I have more discretionary income... Hope everybody else is doing well today! I hope you were all able to get your O! in today! Remember, it's the only weekend in the challenge, and the weekends are the hardest to keep up, but I know you all can do it! Take care, |
Day 4 and Oing
Sorry I couldn't find time to post yesterday. Our DSL was down at work for some reason and I wasn't home enough yesterday to get to the computer. but I did find time to O
This morning was the hard one. My usual Saturday routine it to wake up and put my electric conture bed in a great sitting/laying position and turn on the TV and watch AM STYLE on QVC. Boy did I want to do that this morning, but... I thought of all of you and I didn't want to be the first to wimp out, so up and attem I got. I have all the tapes except the upper body one. I do have the buns & thighs. I bought the first two and my son gave me the rest for Christmas last year. I went through L3, L4 and the B&T once or twice, but has kept alternating between 1 & 2 . I decided that this was the time to bring them out again, so I did L3 yesterday. I was back to L1 today but pland to do them in order through L4 and see how that works for a while. I did take my measurments yesterday morning and will take them again at the end of our ten days. Let's all keep up the good work. |
Hi everyone!
Missed yesterday--I was sooooo busy getting some stuff done downstairs and worked right through the evening until 11:30 p.m. I just didn't get to my Oxycise! :( Today, however, I got Level 1 and part of Level 2 done this morning then spent the day working out back cleaning up our screened-in porch and the yard. It sure needed some TLC! I'm about to start folding some laundry  while watching "What Women Want" with Mel Gibson (what a babe!) Have a good evening everyone! :D Susan R. :) |
Hi!
I did do my Oxycise this morning, early. I, too, am more likely to skip or forget on Saturday and Sunday. I want to make sure that I get it in this weekend, though, so that I get the entire ten days--and keep on going. I want to keep going until I reach my goal this time. I'm tired of this up-and-down bit. Trouble is, I don't really like to exercise, but Oxycise is better than any other, and it does seem to speed up any dieting. Barb, they're having trouble with that other site we're on. They may move it elsewhere. MSN is becoming a pain. It froze my computer up this morning, and the only way I could get out was to turn off the surge protector. (MSN messenger is still okay, though.) The inches and pounds are coming off. I'm looking forward to seeing how we have all done by the end of the ten days! Nancy |
I can do this!
I made it throught Sat & Sunday so I know I can make it the next five days. I guess it's just a mental block thqat keeps me from wanting to O on the weekends, but now that I HAVE done Sat. & Sun, there is no stopping me.
Rose, we haven't heard from you in a couple of days. Still hanging in there? Juilette & Nancy Way to go!!! We are all going to come out of this with glowing colors and thinner bodies :D |
Sunday
Hi!
The way messages are dated, it's hard to tell what day they were written! I figured out that last one was yesterday, so here goes. I actually got up and did my "O" quite early, before showering and getting ready for church. Now I don't have any excuse not to do it early every day this week! My clothes are getting looser, and that makes me feel WONDERFUL! I can hardly wait untill they need to be three or four sizes smaller. Hoipe you are all doing well. I'll look forward to seeing what you have to say tomorrow. Nancy |
Better Late than Never
Well, today has been pretty emotional. Boyfriend officially moved out of our house, and 500 miles away to Savannah... Sad to see him go... But, in a way, excited to start a new life! Fortunately, we're still friends, it's just better to split than struggle with a long-distance relationship.
Spent the day cleaning and rearranging furniture in between tearful moments and almost talked my way out of O! Fortunatley, were are doing our 10 Day Challenge, and therefore it was impossible for me NOT to do it, so tonight, 10:30pm Eastern Time I was on the floor finishing up Level 2 - and boy am I glad I did it! Went quickly too! Barb & Nancy - I used to have MSN as my service, and it froze my computer CONSTANTLY. I would be in the middle of writing a long e-mail and it would freeze and I'd lose EVERYTHING. Use Earthlink now and have not had ANY problems! Also have MSN Messenger with a hotmail account, so I still get the perks without the problems! Also, I think Rose is only able to access the internet from work, I've noticed she rarely posts on weekends, if at all, but she always recaps on Monday. Looking forward to hearing from you Rose! Susan - hope you're still hanging in there! Angel, are you still with us??? We're half-way there! Looking forward to doing more O! this week! Take care, |
Good Morning Everyone:wave:!
I'm so sorry that I didn't post over the weekend:(. Things got way too busy. I did manage to do O on Saturday and Sunday but overslept this morning so I'll have to do O this evening. Would you consider the commuter tape as doing O? I was just wondering because I have plenty of time waiting for my son to get out of practice tonight to do some O on the commuter tape. Let me know what you all think:)! Everyone is doing such a good job. I wish I had time to reply to everyone seperately but I'll post more later. Monday is so busy at work:(! Keep oeing everyone. |
Hey All!!!!!
I have been doing my Oxycise also... just havent been able to post...computer problems.... I have finally figured out though that I must be doing a different program that yall... (I dont have level as you do).... Mine are done by Greer Childers and actually called the Body Flex system.... Is this basically the same as what you are doing? I think so..... Let me know if you guys have seen it and know what I am talking about..... |
Monday
Hi, Everybody!
I can't get everyone straight yet, so I'll just have to greet you all together. I did notice Angel's message, right before mine, though. No, Angel, Greer is lots different. With Oxycise you don't have to have an empty stomach, and the health problems people who have the health problems that BodyFlex says you can't do don't have a problem with Oxycise. Oxycise is quieter and more gentle, and a lot of people who have tried both like "O" much better. You might want to read some of the messages in the message room at www.oxyciseplus.com--or better yet read the success stories. (I can't even get into some of Greer's positions like sitting on the floor with your leg behind you and grabbing your ankle.) Now. How can I be ashamed of myself and proud of myself at the same time?? I'm ashamed of myself for eating some foods today that I knew I shouldn't eat, but I'm proud of myself for doing Oxycise workouts TWICE today! That's the first time ever I've done it twice in one day. Maybe that will make up for some of that food! Barb and I were in a program that was using MSM communities, and that's where my computer froze. And I could never get in to post. They just moved to yahoogroups.com. You might want to join us, or at least visit. It's called StubbornPOUNDS. They use different ways to try to tackle those pounds, but maybe we can convert them to Oxycise. Rose, the commuter tape is better than nothing! I have no tape player in my car (only CD), so I just do the breathing sometimes when I drive. I do feel that I can "suck in those abs" better seated behind the wheel. I think I've been rambling. Better close now. See you all tomorrow. Nancy |
Is this the same thing as BodyFlex? I recently purchased the book, but have yet to be motivated enough to try it. Have any of you seen any real results with it? I've been going to the gym 5 days a week, but thought this program, along with Pilates, would be nice to use in conjunction with my weight lifting and cardio workouts. I would appreciate any info- thanks!
|
ok, nevermind, I just noticed the post that explained that Oxycise is not the same thing as Bodyflex! I do have a question though- are the tapes available in stores, or do I have to order it online? I'd like to get started ASAP, and would hate to have to wait for it to come through the mail. Thanks!
|
OOPS!
I totally missed it yesterday. So ashamed to admit it. Of course, I'm on one of those vacations where you don't go to work, but you don't go anywhere else either and I've been spending my days cleaning and rearranging furniture and stuff, and I kept putting O! off more and more yesterday. Finally, before I went to bed I thought I might do it, then I looked at the clock and it was after midnight! Ugh.
BUT, I did O! twice today! I did Level One and Level Two! I also took my dog for a run/walk, so exercise-wise, I think I met my quota. Hope the rest of you are still doing well! Only 3 more days to go! Colleen - a lot of people see results with the Oxycise! Normally, if I do it consistently for a week, then I lose one to two inches. Regardless of the weight loss though, it is very calming, reduces stress, helps people sleep better, and it has many other advantages as well. I use the program because it is something i can stick with. Not sure why, but there's something about O! that makes me look forward to doing it every morning! The only other way that I know of to buy the tape, without going through the website is to go to Amazon.com. I saw one of her tapes on there, and sometimes they are able to ship stuff within 24 hours. Otherwise, I think it took me a week to get the package I ordered (they're usually running a special on the website). Take care everybody! See ya tomorrow! |
Tuesday
It's been nearly a week since we started the challenge.
Where are everyone's postings? I don't see many there. I hope that just means you're too busy to post, but did your "O" anyway. My homework on my new job included 35 pages of definitions to study! It's a good thing we don't have to memorize them all. (And some are things everyone knows.) My only real problem right now is that I don't have cool "professional" clothes--and I don't want to buy them in the size I am now, either. So I'm ending up wearing long-sleeved suits some in over 100 degrees. Back to the Oxycise. I was brave and did it twice again today. It's hard for me to eat completely the way I should, so I figure I'd better do the "O" twice. Colleen and Angel, be sure to look up that other site and read the success stories. They will surely encourage you! See you all tomorrow. Nancy |
Good Morning Everyone:wave:!
First of all I want to appologize for being so slack in posting:(. I was at a seminar all yesterday and couldn't post. I wanted to report that I did do my L2 Monday and Tuesday but once again I'll have to do my O tonight instead of the morning. Just couldn't get up after the late night I had last night. I just want to say good job everybody with keeping up with the O!:) And for all of those doing Body Flex feel free to join us here. Body Flex and Oxycise are based on the same idea just different techniques but the ends are the same. So whether you choose to do BF or O please post with us and continue the challenge:)! Nancy-It's hard to believe that a week has gone by:dizzy:. Boy time sure does fly doesn't it? I'm sorry for not posting but work stole me away and I just didn't have time to post in the evenings with the late nights and doing O! I'll try to be better about that. You are doing great by the way. Good job on doing O twice a day:)! Do you like you new job? It sounds interesting. I have a hard time with the work clothes thing too. Once I lose a few more inches I promised myself a new outfit for the summer. Anything to keep me going. Juliette-Don't worry about missing one day of O! There is always today:)! You've been doing a great job by the way. Way to go on doing O twice today:). And I agree O is so addicting. Colleen-Welcome to our group:). I'm glad you found us. As for places to purchase Oxycise besides the website? You can try www.qvc.com and request fast delivery and receive it in about two days. But unfortunately O isn't sold in stores yet. Maybe that will happen soon. I also think that O would be a benefit to you and your current exercise routine. Deep breathing is an important part of pilates so it would be easy to add this to it. I hope you decide to join us. Angel-Hi! The info that Nancy gave you is right on but many people love BodyFlex too and I myself started with BF before I switched to O. I hope you will still post here after all a challenge is a challenge. Good job with keeping up the BF:)! Barbg and Susan R-How are you doing? Check in when you can. Come everyone, let's get breathing and lose those inches! |
posting
Sorry I missed posting yesterday, but I didn't miss my O!!!
I have a question to those of you who are doing O twice a day? Ary you doing a 15 minute tape at say the morning and then doing another 15 minute tape another time, or are you doing 2 15 minute tapes at the same time? Which ways have you tried, and which ways seem to work best? Always before when I would do two sessions, I would do one in the morning and one at night. Here lately I haven't been able to get my act together enough to do a night session, but I have plenty of time to do 2 15 minute sessions back to back, but I'm not sure if that would do any good? Opinions Please:?: It's great to have you BFers join us. As we all have said they are basically the same. The principal is the same. Keep breathing!!! and keep posting with us. the more of us to help keep motivated and in line the better. |
O!d Two Times!
So great to see so many people doing their O! more than once a day! The past two days I've done it twice, and it's been great. I hadn't realized that I actually missed doing Level 1! The cool thing about L1 is that since your arms are free for a lot of it, I hold 3lb weights in my hands for some of the positions.
Barbg, if I do O! more than once a day, I usually do it together. I actually dress to work out, and I can't see myself changing more than once. My favorite way to do O! (when I have time) is to do 15 minutes of Oxycise, then do another workout tape, like Tae Bo or Denise Austen, and then finish up with 15 minutes of Oxycise. Usually takes up about an hour. Glad to see everybody still posting. Ten days is a long time, but I'm so glad we're all doing it! The cool thing is that we're ending right before Memorial Day, and I'll definitely need two days that weekend for a break since I won't be at home... On second thought, maybe I"ll bring the tapes with me and introduce them to my mom!!! Take care everybody! Only two more days to gO! |
Wednesday
Hi!
I did my Oxycise this morning, and hope to do it again this evening, probably while watching my one hour of TV, as I still have some studying to do. Barb, I haven't been using the tape, but doing it from memory most of the time. (I occasionally use the tape, but my husband is home this week and next, and it is easier to go in the (laughingly called) sewing room and close the door instead of making it a spectator sport! I've been doing it once in the am and once pm, but I'm sure I've seen where others have done it twice in a row. (I've also been counting out 8 reps instead of 4, but most of the time the tape has about 8 anyway, even if she does say 4!) Rose, I really like my job, although today was a dilly. We had kind of a quiz on our ideas of death and our attitudes on it and had to write our own obituary!! That's something different. It's meant to help us to understand where the client is coming from.... And I've been told of something that might help my clothes situation. I live in Phoenix, and most of my appropriate clothes are what I would wear in winter, as, on the whole, this is a very casual area. I have been told, though, by two different sources that there are some good thrift stores in Sun City where you can get nice outfits for only a couple dollars. One of the gals at work today had on a jacket she bought for $2, and it looked like a hundred! There is a consignment store near me, but there the prices are almost as bad as new. I'm going to try the thrift stores. I'm rambling again. Must close. Still have email to go through. Nancy |
Morning O!
Did my L1 this morning and plan to do L2 tonight. Maybe I'll do both L1 again and L2 - and really become an O!verachiever!
Woke up fairly early this morning, and it was really nice! If I could just make it past the first 5 minutes of every morning, I would be up early ALL the time! But, it's so easy to get so much more done in the mornings, and I enjoy the peace and quiet with the sun shining through the windows. Of course peace and quiet isn't always there with a dog AND a cat in the house... but this morning they were actually quiet. Wait, no, the cat decided to use my journal as a place to lay down - while I was writing on it! But, she's so cute, how can it bother me??? Hope you all have a great day! |
Good Morning Everyone:wave:!
I did my O last night. I was soooooooo tired I just didn't want to do it but I got up and did my L2 and felt so much better. I wish I could get back into the morning habit again but it's been hard for me. So I will have to do it again tonight. I can't believe it's almost 10 days! You've all done so great:)! What do you all think about doing another 10 day challenge after this one? I heard that you have to do something 21 days before it becomes a habit. Let me know if you all want to go for it:D! |
I CNA'T BELIVE IT'S NEARLY OVER!
Wow where did these 10 days go?:?: Sure Rose we're up for another challenge, but let me suggest we do not officially start it until next Wed when the holiday will be over and our routines will be back in place. And how about trying it for the whole 21 days? we all did so good with the 10 days we need to maxumine our efforts. What about it ladies? Anyone up to join Rose and I in a 21 day challenge.
Rose I know what you mean. I used to always do my O at night, so I thought it would be Sooo easy to O twice a day for these 10 days, but what did I do? Nothing, bed time comes and off to bed I go, without even thinking about O'ng. Juilliette, nancy up for another challenge? Anyone else want to join in? Keep us informed. |
Barb-What a great idea:D! I agree let's not do it until Weds and let's make it for the whole 21 days. Just look how fast the 10 days went by. It's hard to believe it's been almost 10 days:eek:! I figure after this long weekend filled with picnics and too much food I'm going to want to get back on track. So I'm all set for Weds. I hope everyone else will join us:D!

Me, too. Ten days is hardly long enough to see a change. I just realized that I have to get up tomorrow and measure, as well as weigh. I've only lost 1 lb, so far, but I know I haven't done as well as I should with my eating. 21 days would be a better chanc.

Hi everyone!
So sorry I haven't been posting--it's been absolutely crazy-busy around our place. I am getting ready to go out of town with my sister this weekend. We are taking care of my Dad's ashes with my other sister--my Dad, as some of you know, died last year. It will be good to have some closure, but an emotional time for all of us, naturally. Sooooo....I've had tons to do to get ready for the trip and our mother is meeting us mid-week and coming back with me for a visit and I had hoped to have more done around the house. Oh well, there's only so much time, right??? :spin: As I was saying, I will be away next week so I won't be able to check in. I'll probably be going through withdrawal while I'm out there not having the chance to go on the computer! Today I did Level 1 this morning and I also didn't post a couple of days ago when I did Level 1 and half of Level 2--I couldn't get to this message board, for some reason--it wouldn't load. So, I haven't been able to get my O! in daily, but I've been trying to make up for it on the days I do (usually every day or second day). Keep up the great work everyone! I think the idea of another challenge (or an ongoing 10-day challenge) is a great idea!!! :D Take care everyone--I'll try to check in again before I leave this weekend. Susan R. :) |
10th day results!
Hi!
I don't usually post in the morning, but I had the time today, and thought I would post my results. I weighed and measured on day 1 and again today. My weight is the same (due to my not eating right, I'm sure), but i have lots of inches to report! I measure more area than most (things like nec, wrist, etc), so my total was a little high--12 inches. But I did lose a total of 6.75 inches in areas where most would measure, including: bust 1" abs 1 1/4" waist 1" tummy 1 1/2 himps 1/4' thighs 1/2", 1" Upper arm 3/4", 1 1/2" Even though I didn't lose any pounds, I am thrilled with the inch loss! It can be much more encouraging than losing pounds, especially when you notice how your clothes fit better. I am anxiously looking forward to that 21 day challenge to see how much I can lose then. I did "O" twice on two days of the ten. If I would do it twice every day I would probably see better results. Nancy |
I read my notes wrong. Upper arms were 3/4 and 1/2, not 3/4 and 1 1/2
