Hi Ladies,
Glad to hear that everyone is doing so great getting in their miles. I have been busy walking every morning and then on Wednesday through Friday evenings I was able to squeeze in a workout at Curves. Then I got up early yesterday morning and went in to Curves for another workout. So I have walked 42 miles so far this morning for the month. I got weighed and measured at Curves the other night and I have lost 6 inches since last month. I lost 4.5 inches in my abs and 1.5 inches in my hips. Plus my body fat went down .20%. So I am very pleased with my results. Well I better go and get ready to squeeze in a quick walk around the block before I have to go to my stepkids soccer games. THey have two games today. Talk to you all later. Have a great week. Kerry |
well yesterday I ended up walking 3 miles and today was 5. I am happy with that. My total should be higher by now but that is alright. I am working on it. As far as now goes I have 26 miles. If I stay to as planned I will have 47 by the end of the week (3 a day if not more). That will help me to get back on track. Hope that that works out.
Kerry- good job on the 6 inches. I hope that that will be the case for me. I haven't measured in a while and plan to on friday. |
Well I got my stroll around the neighborhood this afternoon. I did a 2 mile walk. It was perfect fall weather outside. So I have logged in 44 miles now. I only have 31 more to go to reach my goal.

Hey Walkers!
I walked 2 miles at the mall during lunch! October Miles = 4 |
I got in my mile with leslie today,.. only 8 more for the month. I think I am going to try stepping up my exercise if i want to get noticably thinner by december :o
|
well I got 6.5 miles in today which brings me up to 32.5 for the month. I still have a way to go before I hit my goal for the month (which I don't think that will happen but I will still try for it). I ran 3.66 miles today which I am very proud of and walked almost 4. Tomorrow I will get anywhere from 3-6 miles of walking as far as my plans go. Ihope that it works out that way.
|
Today I biked 8.25 miles and walked 1.5 (1 mile Leslie, and a half briskly walking with the pup.)
|
Sounds like everyone was busy stepping it up today. What a great way to start off the new week. I got up to do a 3 mile WATP Express video. So that makes my miles so far 47. I even was able to squeeze in a workout at Curves tonight. So I am hoping tomorrow when I go to TOPS, I have lost some weight this past week. Talk to you all later. Have a wonderful Tuesday!

Morning :).
It's been a busy couple of days for me so I totally forgot to post! I've walked 6 miles this weekend, didn't walk yesterday as I had class and didn't get home till very late so just wanted to veg and relax :). Another busy day today so I'll probably fit in some time on the elliptical. It's a wet stormy day here in TN this morning, autumn is here! |
Hi everyone. Sunny your babies are beautiful! Sorry I haven't been around. I got bad news on Saturday about my baby Malcolm. My 6 year old black cat. He had congestive heart failure and I had to have him put to sleep yesterday. :( I miss him so much already. I don't want to bum you all out. I just wanted to let you know. I'm not sure when I'll feel like walking again. I've been such an emotional wreck all weekend. I'm feeling somewhat better today. Just sad and tired. I got to spend an excellent day with him Saturday and I'm so greatful for that. I still have his brother Oreo and his adopted brother Sydney. Plus Foxy my Pom. They all are trying to make me feel better. :^: Plus my dad has Malcolm and Oreos mom and she cuddled up with me too. Hopefully I'll be posting miles again soon. Hope you're all doing well. Take care - Amy

Oh, Amy......I'm so, so, SO sorry....you poor sweetie. :grouphug: I can't even imagine. I have 8 furkids, so it's just a matter of time. My first, Simone, will be the toughest -- he's been such a friend over the years. I'm really, really sorry. I don't think it's PMS  but I actually have tears in my eyes for your loss. I'm sure your time with Malcolm was a gift to both of you, and you'll have to think of the love and comfortable, safe home you gave him, and know that you shared that gift. I'm sending you virtual hugs and lots of sympathy.....it's just a hard, hard thing. This might sound corny, but if you ever want to chat, feel free to send me a PM anytime. I am a HUGE animal lover (as indicated by the 8 animals -- 7 rescued kitties and an Italian Greyhound mix rescue) and can absolutely understand the magnitude of what you're going through.
Big hugs to you, Amygirl. :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes My poor kitties tonight won't know what hit them when I go around squeezing and kissing them all! ;) |
Amy, I am so sorry about your cat!
(((((((hugs)))))))) I just got back from walking 2 miles during lunch. October Miles = 6 hugs, Cathy |
well got another 6 miles in this morning. That brings my total for the month to 38.5
Amy- sorry to hear about Malcolm. |
AWWWWW :) Thank you everyone :) Makes me feel so good. hahaha Sarah I can just see your poor babies lookin' at you crazy. haha Cause thats what mine do to me. haha Thanks for the virtual hugs. It really, really helped. :D Hope you all have a good evening. I know I have to get back to my routine soon. I ate so much comfort food this weekend I probably gained 10 pounds. But I don't care. I needed it! I'm really feeling better this afternoon. Take care ladies. Thanks so much for your support. Means more than I can say. :grouphug: :goodvibes

Amy I am so sorry to hear about Malcom.
Tonight I went to TOPS, only to find out that I had gained 1/2 pound this week. I was very discouraged and down in the dumps. I was ready to give it all up tonight, but my dh talked me out of it. He asked me if I wanted to go back to the orginal weight I was when I first started and be tired and sick all the time with colds. I told him no and then asked him to go for a walk with me. So we went for a mile walk around town. Then we came home and I felt a little better. So I think that brings my total up to 50 miles walked so far this month. I only have 25 more to go to reach my goal. Well I best be off to bed. Have a staff meeting right after work tomorrow. So it is going to be a long day. Talk to you all later. Kerry |
Amy I'm so glad you're feeling better today -- great to hear! And no, those eight babies truly did NOT like it when I kissed and squeezed each and every one of them till their eyes popped! I know they talk about me when I'm not around, taking about how crazy they think I am! ;)
Kerry, great job on the 'tude turnaround!! And your husband sounds like a great guy. :) Tonight I did the 2-mile Shape and Firm ramping/squats/lunges workout, followed by the 1-mile WATP workout with weights. Then afterwards, I did some more lunges and squats with weights, as well as walking lunges. |
Walked 2 miles during lunch.
October Miles = 8 hugs, cathy |
Tonight I walked a mile, then did weights - arms: bi's and tri's, followed by 5.75 miles on the bike with high intensity intervals.

Good afternoon Gals! I am so very sorry that I have not been around lately... there has been allot of family issues to cope with the last few weeks and most of it came to a head on Tuesday, exhausting emotionally... (on MY side of the family - not Joe & I). I have not been able to exercise or post in awhile and I really need the exercise too! I am going to get in at least 1.5 miles today, that's for sure. I also went to the hospital yesterday with my best pal, Peggy, and she had the ultra-sound done for a noisy artery in her neck - scary! She won't know the results for a few days yet, but before she left the room the radiologist carefully stated, "I see nothing to worry about" and that sure put both our minds to rest... now we wait. We went out to lunch afterwards and Peggy seemed very relieved and that made me feel better too. By the time I got home, I just felt spent. I found myself just sitting and staring out the window. I felt a peace just sitting and reflecting on the beauty out my window and watching our birds and not thinking at all... just thankful for life. *~*~* http://www.wegotcards.com/cards/cs/misc/Lavndr3TY.JPG Amy ~ The first thing I want to do is apologize to you for not being here for you... but I am so glad that all the other wonderful gals were! :grouphug: I did the same thing that Sarah did after reading your post in tears  today! I went to give my three boys extra TLC and thanked the Lord for them. I think anyone who has pets and loves them like kids would feel such a great loss like yours. My heart goes out to you, sweetie! I am happy to hear that you are feeling better today, but know that you will have bouts of tears for Malcolm and it's okay to feel and cry it out. You have lost a family member. I am so sorry :( Sarah ~ I love your Weight Bar Graph and checked out the site... really cute! How do you find such  cool sites ;) Keep up the wonderful job!!! You should feel so proud of your accomplishments :goodvibes  Hello's to Heather, Lynne, Kerry, Cathy, Gabrielle too! You ALL are doing a wonderful job in getting in your exercise in spite of your very busy lives :flow1: Take Care everyone... I have much to get caught up with today and tomorrow. *God Bless* SunnyD <>< *~*~*~*~*~*~* |
Sunny, :grouphug: -- I just think you're great. I really appreciate all of your support and your positive, warm presence here. And I'm really sorry that your friend is going through this worrisome time. It's times like these that we get reminders that our physical health is such a gift -- a gift not to be squandered and abused or neglected. That's one of the best benefits of losing weight, I think: the knowledge that I'm doing what's necessary to take care of my body -- and then the quantifiable positive results. (Hello blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, cardiovascular health, and more....)Of course, when it comes to weight loss in particular, the weight loss, physical health, and mental health are all interrelated, aren't they? :)
I'm a frequent poster over at the 100 lb. club forum, and one of the gals there shared that link -- so that's how I found the weight bar thingy! We all agreed that it's a pretty motivational visual. I'm thinking that you're going to see a bunch more of them around the site, since a number of us got them! Best to everyone. I'm not doing as well as I'd like at getting up at 5:45 to exercise before work -- but I AM doing well at getting it in at night when I get home, so my conscience is clean! I came back 5 pounds heavier after my lovely 3-day B & B weekend -- I'm down 4 already, so I'm sure I'll be able to take care of it this week and then get back to virgin loss. That was my first gain since starting on this journey in March, so it was a disconcerting experience for me, if not wholly unexpected. (I knew full well how off plan I was, but I had no issue whatsoever jumping right back in the saddle again! And my plan is incredibly clean, so being "off" is not so difficult!) I'll update tonight. (The plan is 3 miles with weights.) |
I am such a slacker! I just finished my second 1 mile leslie session of the week. I think I am going to do another session after hubby goes to work tonight. I think I need a re-motivation,...
But I did surpass that sept walking total... :-) |
Today's exercise after work:
* 3 1/2 miles WATP with 6 lb. weights (after 1 1/2 miles, my 3-mile DVD started skipping :( so I popped in the 2 mile and just kept up the intensity for arms and legs through the warm-up.) * Weights - shoulders (lifting heavy, and to failure.) |
Oh yeah, and Heather, GET CRACKING!! :coach:
|
Thank you for the warm thoughts Sunny. :goodvibes I am so blessed to have such good friends. :grouphug: I hope your friend will be ok. :crossed: I'm planning on getting back to exercise next week. I may get a decent walk in tomorrow. I'm taking my dad to the japanese gardens tomorrow for his birthday. They're having a plant sale and he wants one. I think it will be really nice. Looking forward to it. I hope you all have a great weekend. :cb:
P.S. I sooo love the little ticker thing. That is awesome. Sarah are you gonna mind if we all get them? Tee-hee I also forwarded the site to a friend at work who is expecting. |

Did the 3-mile WATP after work tonight.
|
Did a mile of the 2 mile leslie dvd,.. i have GOT to get in 2 sessions tommorow,.. I did not want to exercise at all tonight, I really had to force it,.. blah,..lol But hey,. at least i did it.
|
hey gang! looks like everybody is walking like crazy!
keep up the good work. I didn't walk yesterday or the day before because I am fighting some terrible heel pain in one foot. It kind of eases up but by the time I walk 2 miles, I am limping. I've read up on how to treat heel pain and I'm working on it. But today I cleaned house for 9 hours (and the heel is not too bad) so that is my exercise for today. everybody keep on truckin cathy |
Hey, Cathy -- congrat's on hitting Onederland!! Gotta love THAT! Hope your heel feels better soon....
Heather, I'm so happy you got back in the saddle! I'm rooting for you, girlfriend. :cb: How did you do today?? I was exhausted today -- ended up sleeping wayyyyy too much, so obviously my body needed it. I've only been getting like 6 hours of sleep per night, and with the strenuous exercise every day, I think my body said, "Hey, whoa here.....I'm SLEEPIN'!" So that's what I did. No exercise for me to report today -- but tomorrow: GET BACK! On the weight front, I'm down 4 of the 5 pounds I was up after my lovely 3-day holiday last weekend, so that's good news. I'll be back in virgin loss territory in no time! |
Today I did the 2-mile WATP with the weights, and then later did 40 minutes lower body weights.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...mnBlinkie1.gif Goooood Monday Morning Gals! It's so great seeing everyone getting together and motivating one another. This is such a great group of gals! I haven't done allot of "monitored (logged) Walking" but I sure have been busy. Today I will get in 1 mile for sure and hope to get in a second mile before the day is over. *~*~* Sarah ~ Thank you so much for your very sweet words! You too are a great support in this thread and we are so blessed to have you around :^: :bubbles: My girlfriend, Peggy, is doing rather well these days... she is feeling so much better since she got all that testing done... relief is the word. She has not heard from her Dr. and we both feel that "no news is good news". He is the type of Dr. that will call right away if there were something really wrong (we both have the same Dr.), so neither of us are as worried... :thanks: so much for asking ;) As for the ticker... ever since you have posted it I have now seen them all over  something how fast a good thing spreads around. Thanks for starting it here --- it's really cute with all the different designs. Hi Heather ~ Love your before and after pictures in your sig!! I can REALLY see the difference in your face! Keep up the great work girl... you have such a pretty face! Hi Amy ~ Thank you so much for the warm thoughts for my friend... everything is looking good right now and she is doing her best to watch her diet and exercise too. How was your father's birthday on Saturday at the Japanese gardens? Bet he had a great time and it helped take your mind off of things in your corner of the world too... How are you feeling these days? I sure do hope that your are doing okay after the loss of your kitty :^: Hey there Cathy ~ It's great to see you pop in... glad to hear that all is well with you. You must have the cleanest house in the world :o :bubbles: I sure do hope that your heel feels better real soon... :stars: Do you have a heel spur? Those can be so painful. Hi Deb ~ Glad to hear that you are doing well... I'll have to look into the ramp now that you and Sarah both have it. Let us know how you like it, okay. *~*~* Hello's out there to all you MIA's  I sure would love to see you return!! Mel, Kristi & Michelle... I really miss you girlfriends, I do hope you all are doing well. *God Bless* And Have a wonderful productive day gals :grouphug: SunnyD <>< http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/7/7_2_118.gifOcToBeR MiLeS: 13.25 *~*~*~*~*~*~* |
Hi everyone. I haven't walked any, but just wanted to check in. I don't think I will make my October miles but I'll keep trying. Dads birthday celebration was great. We had a wonderful time. He even got to flirt with a lady from the Rose Society! ;) haha So he was thrilled. I bought him a beautiful yellow rose bush for his birthday. And he bought 2 miniature rose bushes for himself. It was a great day. I'm doing pretty good, thanks for asking Sunny. :) Thank you for your thoughts Deb. I have to say that my vet was so wonderful to me through it all. Hes a very good man. I received a card from their office, which was very nice. I've got some photos of my babies to share. Malcolm is the all black cat, Oreo (his brother) is the black and white cat and Syd is the white with stripes. I think I caught their personalities pretty well. haha

Nice pics!
*~*~* :flow2: Love the pictures Amy! Just look at those faces!!!!! :bubbles: Yes, I'd say you captured their personalities beautifully... your Oreo could be brothers with my Domino ;) We almost named Domino 'Oreo' till we saw the three perfectly place dots on his side... he is mostly white with some balck. I am so glad to hear that your vet sent you a card for Malcolm and was so caring to you (Malcolm was such a handsome guy!). Not all vets are (I am very blessed with our vet too!). Glad to hear that you are hanging in there and had a wonderful day with your father ;) Beautiful kids, Amy :^: Thanks for sharing your pictures :smug: SunnyD <>< *~*~*~*~*~*~* |
Got in a mile today
http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/7/7_2_118.gifOcToBeR MiLeS: 14.25 |
well I haven't been posting lately but am back. Within that time I walked over 1.5 miles but will just count that much since I am not exactly sure how much more I did do. Today though I am reall proud of myself since I ran 4.89 miles and walked 2.11 miles. It felt so good and I will try it again either tomorrow or the next day to see how far I can go. Right now I can run 1.5 miles without stopping once and that is new for me. I am trying to be able to run atleast 5 miles nonstop but that will come. That brings me up to 47 miles for the month.
|
I did the 3-mile WATP after work today.
Amy, they are all so BEAUTIFUL!! Your gorgeous Malcolm could have been brothers with my gorgeous Simone, who stops my heart with his love and grace. Those pic's really show some personality! I really should post some pic's of my 7 kitties and puppy Iggy, Louie. (I say puppy, but he's actually 2 1/2.) I'm so glad you shared those photos with us!!! Thank you! (And you again inspired me to go hug Simone till he squeaked! ) |
