well I did 3 miles of walking last night to add on to what was done before. That brings me up to 6/100. That is alright since I did get a slow start but will do a few miles later today while my hubby can watch Jasmine. It will be good to do it alone with out having to worry about her so that is waht I will try.

Good morning! I'm pleased to say that I got in 2 miles last night. Yeah! :D It has been cloudy all week but it only rained Monday. So I decided to chance it and walk last night. I got a few tiny drops on my face but thats about it. I hope to get more in over the weekend. Ahhhhhh weekend! :cloud9: I don't know if I should believe it or not but my scale weighed me as 185 this morning. That would be soooo awesome if it was true. Hope you're all doing well with your walking. Have a good weekend!

Hi gals!

I got in 1.50 miles today but didn't do anything on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday as far as scheduled exercise... just too much to do and not nearly enough time. If I don't get in my exercise in the morning I can't fit it in... so I challenge myself to get it in for sure next week first thing!!! I also wasn't able to get to Curves for a second class this week --- not my fault here... had to bring the jeep into the garage again, so no car :dizzy: Hopefully all will go better next week!

You all are doing wonderfully! Heather I am so proud of you surpassing your own goals already!! Everyone keep up the great job!!! I hope to get back in there with you next week. I'm not on the computer much if at all during the weekends... so I will see you all on Monday!

*Have a Wonderful Autumn Weekend Gals!!!*

Hey everybody!

Today I did the 2-mile Shape and Firm workout with the ramp -- includes lots of squats and lunges -- and I also did 10 miles of high intensity interval biking.

heather_dw 10-10-2004 02:41 AM

Thanks sarah and SunnyD for the compliments ( not sure I am as active as the enegizer bunny though, but its a nice thought. i did not work out Thursday, i felt i needed a one day break. I did a mile friday, and again on saturday night. (I did not want to do it, but i made myself) I know if I skip it, I will feel soooooo guilty and plus, I have been crabby all day today and the exercise gives me a short little "high" after I am done:-)

*Applause* for all of us walkers
Keep on steppin'!

lessofsarahtolove 10-10-2004 06:39 PM

Hey everybody, no walking for me today. I did bike 13 miles with high intensity intervals though!

lessofsarahtolove 10-11-2004 09:13 PM

Hey, where is everybody?? Tonight after work I walked 2 miles. 20.5 miles walked so far this month, and 23 miles biked.

Hi Sunny and Morning Star,
In reading some of these post I notice you both mentioned Curves. I have had an interest in joining, but really do not know anyone who has ever been a member or what the success rate is. How has it worked for you guys? Does it get dull after awhile? I'm a former walker and jazzersizer. Carrying around an extra 35 pounds now and not doing anything. Kind of let the stress of my husbands illness, job and children get to me. Would love any input you can give. I REALLY need to get back on track. I haven't felt this unhealthly in a very long time.
Looking forward to your response, and anyone else with insight as well.

Meeeeeeeeee... with our Autumn Decorations :D *** A Closer Look

 Good Morning Gals!

Hi Sarah ~ I'm here ;) I just have been very busy with allot of *going's on* here and visitors lately. Seems that our Autumn is busier then our summer was :dizzy: I did get in 2 miles today already... haven't walked in a few days, but have been very active! Worked in our gardens for the last two days getting it all ready for the winter and as you can see from the above picture decorating too :)

Hi Brenda ~ Well, as of yesterday I no longer go to Curves. I am on medical hold (for severe flare-ups of IBS). Until I am able to get a handle on this and keep it under control I cannot go there. But I have been there over a year and until this September went regularly and enjoyed it very much! Not seeing allot of weight loss, but have seen allot of inch loss (lost 17 inches over all). I think that if you are interested in joining you might want to go with a buddy... I found that when I went with my girlfriend we held one another accountable in going on a regular basis. If you want to know more I did begin a thread --- there you can read other posts and see how they liked it ;)

Here is the *Curves 6* link for you---> http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/show...t=41131&page=1

By-the-way... I too went to Jazzercise for 15 years! I worked for them as a Head Registrar (greeting people and signing them up for classes), but left that about 6 - 7 years ago now to move on to something else (where does the time go?). Hope I was of some help to you. I am sure that Morning Star could help you out a bit more being that she is still going to Curves right now. She just started back up in fact ;) I wish you well and hope to see you back here :D

Have a great day gals!!!!

I'm Back for Good

Good Morning ladies :coffee: ,

I had a really good weekend! My husband and I went to Dallas, TX for a Cowboy game. My husband is one of the biggest Cowboy fans around, and he was just like a kid in a candy store :lol3: .....We came back Sunday evening and it was back to working out on yesterday. I walked 2.5 miles and 40 crunches. I'm back on track mind and body! I hope eveyone had a really good weekend and Holiday (if you were off). I have to go but I wanted to drop a few lines. Everyone have a BLESSED DAY and I will talk to you soon!

gabwill 10-12-2004 09:55 AM

well haven't posted in a while since I have been so busy but wanted to update my miles. I have 8 of 100 done. At this point I don't think that I will make it to 100 since I have been so busy and worn out at the end of the day but I will try my best and start walking twice a day in order to try to get as close as I can to it. That means stepping up the pace but I am willing to do that to lose weight.

shoequeen69 10-12-2004 10:33 AM

Cute photos Sunny! Love the punkins. I can't believe I haven't decorated this year. I usually decorate my desk at work too but just haven't felt like digging out the stuff from storage. I haven't done nuthin' since the last time I was here. I'm doing aerobics tonight. Abirdee-I'm sooo sorry you have to live with a Cowboys fan. haha I live in Arlington, TX. Imagine what my life is like! :dizzy: hahaha Hope you're all doing well. Maybe I will have something to post soon.

Hi everyone :)

Some of you older posters might remember me from the May/June walkers , so a big hi to SunnyD, Michelle and the other girls :).

I've had a bad couple of months and went off my plan for a while but I had worked so hard to get where I was I decided I wasn't going to let all that hard work go to waste so here I am again.

I'm not using WATP, I walk on our road which is nice and long with some small hills and bumps.

I walked/jogged 4 miles this morning and when I got home felt like I could fall down and not get up for an hour, but it was worth it!

It's nice to see some familiar faces still here, SunnyD I think your decorations look lovely, you are looking great too.

Talk to you all later.

SunnyD57 10-12-2004 08:17 PM

Oh My GOSHHHHH...

:o is that you Lynne :^: ~
So good to see you back :flow2: And what a great start!!!! WoW!!! 4 miles!!! Good for you! Now don't go killing yourself, I want you to come back :) Right now I don't use the WATP DVD's I have either... I walk outdoors (so beautiful!) or on the T-Mill. I plan on using the WATP on and off during the winter to keep it interesting while inside more. I also got a Tae-Bo DVD. I like variety :smug:

Thanks!!! :D I needed to hear that more then you know!!! I did weigh myself this morning and have lost another pound! I am down to 191 --- almost into the 180's!!!! :cheer:

Hi Amy ~ Thank-you too!!!! I went all out this year and decorated for the Fall inside and out... that way I am all set till after Thanksgiving :smug: I so enjoy the Fall!!! Did you make it to aerobics??

Hi Gabrielle ~ Good to see you! You are doing just fine... keep up the good work, kiddo and don't get all down on yourself or expect so much from yourself that you get disappointed --- just do what you can. It's better then nothing, right? ;) (((Hugs)))

Hi Abirdee ~ Good for you getting right back into your routine!!!! I enjoyed the day yesterday with my girlfriend... she had the day off and we went out to see *The Forgotten* and then to lunch and shopping. It was a great day! And the movie wasn't so bad either...

Have a nice evening gals!!!!
*So good to see you all again*
Blessings,
SunnyD

Hello, all! Sunny, you're such a sweetheart! :goodvibes Thanks so much for the support!! I'm really sorry to hear about your health woes; I trust you're doing everything you can to improve your condition, and I'm really sorry that you have to go through this. Best to you, dear. You'll still be doing your walking, though, right?

Last night I walked 2 miles after work (forgot to report it here) but today, nada.

Keep up the great jobs, everyone!

aint misbehaving 10-12-2004 09:50 PM

Hi Ladies,
Sunny D thanks for the input on Curves. I did check out the other thread you started on Curves. I think I will give it a try since they are offering a week free. I do not have anyone close by that can join with me right now, however my Mom is moving back here to Texas from North Carolina, I hope she will join. I always do better when I have the support of a friend. By the way I love your decorations! :) In reading some of these post I can tell your a wonderful support for many of the 3FC visitors...
You all have given me the motivation to get myself MOVING. I am so tired of being tired and have been around long enought to know "getting moving" gives you energy...
It's not so much about looking great as it is about feeling great. I have to take care of myself so I can care for my ill husband and 12 yr. old son. So Thank you all so much for your words of encouragement to each other, sharing your knowledge of whats working for you and what's not and all the fun stuff you throw in. I think I'm going to like it here.... :cp:

Our tree here in NE, Ohio

Good Autumn Morning Gals!!
Buuuurrrrrrrrrr... chilly day here in Ohio! I woke up to 34* this morning!

*~*~*

Brenda ~ I am so glad to hear that you are going to give it a try at Curves. I think that you will enjoy it allot! I do hope to go back next Summer myself. It sounds like you have a good plan with your mother, I hope it all pans out for you. Baby-steps, Brenda... baby steps... you can do it. Anything you can do is better then nothing at all, right :^: I do my best to be very supportive :^: I know how much it means to me too ;) I am glad to hear that you visited the Curves thread and enjoy my pictures and graphics. Those are fun to do! Thanks again & luck in your endeavors!! Do come back!!!!

Sarah ~ You are very welcome sweets! I am still planning on keeping up my walking, for sure, and hope to begin some of the WATP DVD's I have soon. So you aren't gonna get rid of me that fast ;) I have been feeling pretty darn good these days... thank you so much for your concerns. I have had this health issue for many years, but it is just getting worse as I age. It's a must for me to keep walking in order to stay well. It is just the vigorous exercise that makes me ill... so I will keep walking slow and long. I have lost another pound as of yesterday :D I'm down a whole 25 pounds now and counting! Yeah!

*~*~*

I will be back later to post my miles...
Have a Great Day Gals!!!

Hey Ladies

Good Morning,

I wanted to log in my activities for yesterday. I walked 2.5 miles on the treadmill and did 50 crunches. I wanted to start using my dumbells but want to use a tape as my guide, can anyone recommend a good one to start with?
Well I hope everyone has a wonderful and BLESSED DAY.......

shoequeen69 10-13-2004 09:38 AM

Ok, so I lied. I didn't go to aerobics last night. BUT! I did 3 miles instead. It was toooo nice outside to be cooped up inside. It was cool and bright and I had to take advantage of it before daylight savings time hits. I really enjoyed it. :D Later ladies ;)

LynneA 10-13-2004 10:14 AM

Good Morning :)

Another 2 miles for me today, it was quite cool here in TN also this morning, 47* which made for a brisk walk. I am sore from yesterday so took it nice and easy this morning.

Yes SunnyD, it's really me lol. Thanks for the warm welcome back, I hope I stay this time! I lost a lot of motivation lately and am trying very hard to get back at it.

Talk to you all later, busy day for me today.

October miles: 6

SunnyD57 10-13-2004 10:26 AM

Amy ~ You are just too funny  You didn't lie!!! You just changed your mind and didn't you know that is a woman's prerogative :smug: Good for you getting in those 3 miles walked outdoors and enjoying this great weather!!!

Abirdee ~ Yeahhhhhh for getting in 2.5 miles & your 50 crunches in already today! Great way to begin the day... keep up the great job!!!

Lynne ~ Sounds like you had a great walk this morning. It's cool here too, we woke up to 34*! Burrr! You are doing so well!!! :cp:

*~*~*

Better then I am :o I am afraid I only got in 1.5 miles this morning... I have a very busy day planned with my girlfriends daughter. We are going to see the movie *Shark Tails* today and then we'll go for a walk at the park after lunch - just to chat. She is 21... It's a pretty day today even though it began cloudy and gloomy.

Have a great day gals!!!

well that gives me 10 miles for the month so far. I ended up running and walking a mile each yesterday and it felt good. I still 90 to go though so I will get something done today before heading to the gym.

heather_dw 10-13-2004 04:50 PM

Well ladies, I am back on track,.. did a mile yesterday and a mile today,.. so if i keep going at his rate, ill meet my goal for october (20 miles) as opposed to the 12 i got for september

lessofsarahtolove 10-13-2004 11:58 PM

Yay Heather!! Great job, girlfriend!!

I did 2 miles tonight.

shoequeen69 10-14-2004 10:36 AM

haha Thanks Sunny. :lol3: I end up changing my mind a lot throughout the day. After being cooped up in an office all day I really hate to go to the gym and be cooped up for an hour there when I could be outside! I did 1.5 miles last night. We have the most awesome park here called River Legacy. It is HUGE. There are soooo many trails you can't possibly get bored ever! So much fun :D Right now the plan is to do aerobics tonight but I'm not sure since I was late to work. Shhhhh ;) haha Later!

cathyxxx 10-14-2004 02:49 PM

Hey Hey Hey Gang!

I'm back from my trip with mom to Branson Missouri!

We had a good time but very little sleep because little ole ladies don't sleep much! have ya noticed that!

Anyway, got back late Monday night, and have been running like crazy ever since.

For some reason I have been really draggin since we got back, probably bec of so little sleep, and haven't been able to make myself get up earlier and exercise.

But I did just get back from walking 45 minutes at the mall during my lunchhour. I know I walked at least 2 miles. At home I walk our 2 mile block in 30 minutes, but I can walk faster when I'm not walking around people in the mall. ;)

I have never eat out so much in my life as while we were gone for 7 days. Basically we would eat breakfast and then an early supper before the shows. The other gals would have coke and candy and popcorn at the show, but I just stuck to my meals. I felt like I ate more then usual and certainly didn't eat as healthy, but I drank a lot of water (the whole case I brought with me) besides water at my meals, and I must have done alright bec my scale said 197 when I got back, which is what it said the day I left! whooohoooooo I'm happy about that! :cp: no weight gain on the trip, and still down 12 lbs!
:cheer:
that is really good for me!

I'm not gonna set a goal for the rest of October. I'm just gonna do what I can do.

missed ya'll,
cathy

October miles = 2

Abirdee 10-14-2004 03:11 PM

Good day ladies,

Just checking in real quick to give you my activites for yesterday:

2.5 miles on the treadmill
60 crunches

My husband is my coach, but he's to soft all I have to do is give him my puppy eyes(when I don't feel like doing anything) and he'll say "baby you have to do anything if you don't want to". I explained to him that he's going to have to push me a little harder, but he doesn't have the heart too (Bless his heart). So really I'm pushing myself and reading about everyone else and their success, it's that much easier.

Everyone have a BLESSED DAY!

shoequeen69 10-15-2004 10:04 AM

Hi all. Got in another 2 miles last night. So far that is 6.5 for the week! Woo-hoo! Go Amy, Go Amy. haha :dancer: Have a good weekend everyone!

Our kids--->Domino (9 yrs old) * Guido (2 yrs old) & brother Zeppe (2 yrs old)

 *Hello's* out there to all you Gals!!!
Joe is taking the day off today and we just brought our 3 boys into the vets for check-ups and their shots @ 9:30. Joe likes to go with me... they are his kids too :smug: Really... Guido & Zeppe are very heavy @ 15 lbs. each and I cannot go alone and they hate going one without the other - so this works best. I just carried our little Domino (only 7 lbs). Now I think we are just going grocery shopping, cuz we cannot meet our friends this Saturday as usual. Then Joe has to go to his chiro. at 4:30 today --- he pulled a muscle in his back at work the other day working on a panwasher in one of the bakeries and now he will be going there for a few treatments. He said he was feeling much better already... just after one treatment.

Don't know if I will be able to get in a walk today, sure gonna try! Most times if I don't go in the mornings I just cannot get fit in... but I'll try :)

You gals are just doing so well!!! :cp:
You should be so very proud of yourselves!!!

Here's to a Great Day :D and a Super Weekend!!!!

What a Week...

SSuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuup duuuuuuuuuuuudes?????!!!!!!!!

Ha! i drive my 12 year old niece crazy when i say hi like that!

Got in a few miles over the week...so i must say i am proud of me! :smug:

Sunny---what great fall decor! i am still doing my yard & house. i do up the front like a cemetary & haunted house. People love it. Take videos and pics of their kids here every year. Got lots of animated decor, sound effects, motion sensored, made all my tombstones from leftover styrofoam...we enjoy it.

i went & ordered that ramp set last week. i am very anxious to try it!

Gosh...all you gals are doing so GREAT...i raise my cup of coffee to you! :coffee:

i expect to get some walking in this weekend, no, i WILL get some walking in this weekend! (better, right?)

SkinnyMemories 10-16-2004 01:33 PM

I would like to join

I noticed these posts today and I said to myself that I wanted to join. Talk is cheap so I decided that before I joined I needed to put in some time on the track. I did!!! :dizzy: My 1yr old and I took a three mile walk on the nature trail. Of course he was in a stroller. I tried to maintain a steady speed the entire time. It was a good walk... I am in a better position to say no to sweets  demon now....

Okay.. Today I log 3 miles... now I feel much better about myself... :cb:

lessofsarahtolove 10-16-2004 05:24 PM

Hey ladies -- sounds like everyone's doing really well! I'm spending the weekend with my partner at a lovely B & B in Delaware; it's in an 1860's farmhouse and very peaceful -- just what the doctor ordered! Hey speaking of doctor's, according to my pulmonary function test, it turns out I'm operating on 65% of normal breathing capacity; that explains a LOT! Anyway, I haven't gotten in much in the way of exercise, but I brought along a couple of Leslie DVD's, and this morning I did the quick 1-mile. Not much, but it's something!

Deb, by the way, I look forward to hearing how you like the ramping workouts; a couple of us who have it have been talking about it in the "Walk Away the Pounds" thread. Congrat's and enjoy! :)

Take care everyone -- just grabbing a couple of quick minutes on here to catch up. Talk to you next week!
