Default Tips to motivate yourself to workout

Here are some tips to motivate yourself to workout:
  • Set realistic goals
  • Create a schedule
  • Find enjoyable activities
  • Get a workout buddy
  • Reward yourself
  • Track progress
  • Maintain a positive environment
  • Invest in quality gears
  • Visualize success
  • Mix in music or podcasts
  • Start small
  • Prioritize consistency
You may enjoy exercising because it feels good, relieves stress, or gives you a runner’s high. You may also enjoy it because it allows you to think or zone out.

Thanks for sharing these tips! I really need some motivation to kickstart my workout routine. I've set a goal to lose some weight this year, so I appreciate any advice. What about the fitness center fitness connection? Sometimes getting started is the hardest part, but I know once I get into a routine, I'll start feeling better both physically and mentally.

I work part-time, always on my feet, walking quickly, and also take care of a very energetic 4-year-old one afternoon/evening a week. But that doesn’t feel like enough, so I go to the gym for circuit training 3-4 times a week, moving at a fast pace! I’ve been doing this for 15 years, and it’s just part of my routine now. I enjoy it and plan to keep going as long as I can.

I follow a healthy diet, counting calories daily—obsessive? Maybe, but it works for me. I allow myself treats, but only occasionally, and once a week, I have a ‘light’ day with no cooked food except a bowl of soup—my detox day!

I’m a healthy 9st 7lbs, with no sign of osteoporosis—at over 60, I’m pretty pleased with that!

Set clear goals, track progress, and reward yourself. Find a workout buddy or fun activities. Schedule sessions like appointments.

One trick that works for me is putting on workout clothes I actually like, sounds simple, but it flips a mental switch. I recently bought some gear from Fox Racing and loved the fit. I even checked reviews here fox racing customer service to make sure I’d have support if needed. I also set small, realistic goals like “just 10 minutes” and let that momentum carry me. Music helps too, create a playlist that makes you feel unstoppable.
