I definitly feel you on this one. Doing regular consistent exercises is so hard for me. It is alsways like: doing sports one day - then procrastinate weeks until i feel so bad i do sports for a few days again.

I am a firm believer in doing whatever works for YOU. As for myself, I love food. So, this second bout of weightloss I worked on food. Everyone wants a quick fix, but it's just not realistic for me. And, I have accepted that. In january I was the biggest I'd ever been at 5ft 5in 287 pounds and someone took a picture of me and I knew I had to change. I'd lost 100 pounds in my mid 20's and I wasn't working and at that time at 250 i started exercising and eating healthier to get to 180 pounds.

But, now at 32 I did it differently. I do't know if it has to do with age, but I've spent this whole year messing with my food. Trying whole foods and plant eating, or going low carb. I've settled in now at a lot less meat, except eggs. And, I only drink water and wine unless it's a girls night then there's beers and shots. I eat lots of salads and soups I make and I gave up milk. And, I cut back on sugar. I exercised for about a month in May when I hit 260 but it was dreadful and due to my low energy I wasn't sweating or getting out of what I should as I couldn't put in what I should. Now, at 230 I've started exercising again. I'm only doing 4 days a week 30 day shred because it worked so well for me long ago. If I jump in and try too hard I'll get burnt out. So, that's it for now and I'm hoping the weight will continue to come off but more quickly. My goal of 200 pounds by Jan 1st seems almost attainable but even if I don't hit 200 it's WAY better than the 287 I was at January 5th 2017.

I just lost 50lb with diet alone this year - I just didn't feel like exercising, so allowed myself not to bother

But historically I've generally been pretty active, and in the last two months after I got to my maintenance weight, I've started cranking up the exercise again (and it's easy because I really feel like doing it now). Joined a gym about 3 weeks ago and I started to feel the difference with the exercise quickly - maybe after about 3 weeks I started to feel noticably stronger in terms of leg/arm/shoulder muscles. Fitness is a bit more difficult to put a timescale on because one day I feel great and the next day it can feel really hard, and I haven't really done heaps of repeat sessions that I can gauge that one by, but again i'd estimate a few weeks to get a noticeable improvement.
