Default 2 questions about C25K (shorter time, water)

One of my goals for 2015 is to complete C25K. However, I do have 2 questions.

It is a 9-week program (from what I have read...). If some of the increases are too big of a leap, I assume it is okay to repeat weeks, or add a week with time that falls between the two? For example, if it goes from running 5 minutes to 10 minutes, could you add another week and do 8 minutes? I'm not even sure if those are times in the program, but just trying to explain what I'm asking (and I feel like I'm not doing a very good job lol).

Question 2: I used to run, but it has been awhile. I get headaches fairly regularly after I workout, and I've tried to vary the amount of water I drink before and after running, but nothing seems to necessarily help. I know hydration is extremely important, but any suggestions on how much to drink, how long before a run?

Thanks guys!

Hi Madison,

I just started the program - feel free to join in my thread if you want some company

To answer your questions, absolutely add more weeks if you want to! In terms of water, I would suggest drinking small quantities often before you run - you could also take water on your run. You might want to talk to your doctor about it? It is not an issue I have had while running.

Hi,
Q1: As an alternative, when there's a big difference, you can try starting out at a slower pace then increasing it gradually. That works too.
Good luck!!
