  • I commit to striving towards being fit and will do the following in September:

    1. Walk 45 minutes - 4/week
    2. Strength training - 2/week
    3. Uphill walking 30 minutes - 2/week
  • Welcome!
  • Walked 45 minutes today.
  • ^Get 'er done!

My ChaLEAN yesterday left my body feeling like Jell-O. I kind of love that program from the first try -- I can see how it can andwill continually be challenging for my muscles, which I LOVE.
  • Ha, I already screwed up and didn't do anything yesterday. Oops.

Today I have a dance class, so I will for sure have a 1 on the board come morning!
  • Strength training & incline walking done. Both less intensity than I'd planned but I'm glad I didn't skip today.
  • Yesterday I did a 2 hour Irish dance class.

My Wednesday dance classes aren't happening until further notice (issue with renting a space), so I will be doing dance practice at home instead.
  • atmos- Better late than never, right? Irish dancing, that sounds like a fun way to get some movement in!

nishita - Nice job staying committed, even if it meant lowering your intensity a bit. You still got it done!

I did my ChaLEAN 'first day' evaluation today, even though I officially started yesterday, complete with photos, measurements, and a fitness test. I will do it over again after 30, 60, and 90 days to track my progress. Pretty excited about that, and to see what strength training will do for my body. Up until now I've been all cardio, all day, so my muscles need some lovin'. After work tonight I'll get my real workout in.
  • I'll join a few days late..... mine will be simple since I'm having a hard time getting back into it.

    I commit to:
    1. Drinking 3 of my 24oz bottles of water every day
    2. Working out 3 times a week
  • So far I've done 45 minutes of walking every day, almost my goal. I'll try to do better from now on.
  • ^o.O Somehow I missed you when I made the roster. Sorry!! You're in there now And, like I always say, something is better than nothing! At least you got out and did some walking.

Welcome Aunty Jam! I'm having a hard time too, that's why exactly why I made this challenge. I need something to push my forward. Glad to have you along!

Hey, that makes a solid 10 participants, how awesome
  • If it is not too late, I would love to join! What an awesome thread, thanks for creating it!

I am doing the following forms of exercise, which can change from day to day:

water aerobics (my own version) in the pool at the hotel we have a membership
recumbent bike- I try to do this after every meal I have for at least a half of an hour per meal, if I am home (helps lower blood sugars for us diabetics!)
Walking- either mall walking for a half of an hour or at home
Planet Fitness- once or twice a week, if I can get there

I hope you don't mind me joining. It would be nice to join others who are motivated to do this along with myself, and we can kick each other in the pants when necessary. Some days, I'm sure I'll need a good swift boot to the petute!
  • ^Of course, the more the merrier! I'm glad you are so excited to join, and I'm also glad you are ready to give me a kick in the rear when I need it...because I'm sure Ill need it. haha. Welcome!
  • xRiotGirl - Thanks. Awesome thread, btw.

Walked 45 minutes today. (I live in a different time zone).
  • 9/2 - nothing. The upset stomach I was feeling turned into the flu.
    9/3 - nothing. Still recovering.
    9/4 - Walk 30 minutes with WATP.
