If you stretch after workouts, it helps cut the soreness a bit. Some soreness is unavoidable, but I do still walk and stretch when I am sore. Unless of course I am totally immobilized by the soreness, in which case I wait for it to resolve before working that part again. However, there is usually enough strength left in some other part of my body to work that instead. Consider today- I was supposed to start a new routine, but I overworked my glutes over the weekend and that wasn't going to happen. So I just did some upper body stuff instead. Problem solved. Still worked out, still made progress. All is well. By Wednesday, I am sure my butt will have recovered enough to complete the mission.
