There's the monthly running thread, and all those girls seem to be doing "easy" runs of 10 or 12 miles a day. And there's the Couch to 5K thread. Where's everybody else?
I did C25K back in 2010, and when I started running again this year I found that I hadn't regressed back to Day One of C25K (hooray!) so I'm just kinna doing my own thing and working back up to being able to run a 5K. I'm currently able to run about 1 - 1.25 miles without stopping, and then I alternate run/walk for another 2 miles. I'm hoping to get up to a full 3 mile run by June, when I'm running a Color Run 5K.
So, who else out there is between C25K and 12 miles? I really want some running chat buds!


And that was 4 years ago... Since that time I have "wanted to run 5 miles"....with all of my starts and stops I am just now able to do 4...with a whole lot of walking after the first 3. Its all a mental gam with me. I have to tell myself "I can" and "I will" instead of "I want to" or "I can't". The IDEA of running a 1/2 marathon by the time I turn 50 has swirled through my head....not really sure I want to devote that much time that would require. Not to mention what I fear it would do to my knees!! They are already sore during and after a run....but the all over feeing I get after running is soooo worth it!!
You already are a real runner.
