i was also wondering how often everyone did it? today is L1D5 for me and nothing is sore anymore but my calves and since i'm a beginner i don't want to hurt anything so i think i might work out for 4 rest 1 etc.
|
so yesterday was rest day for me so today i have L1D5 complete!! :)
|
L3D5 complete!
|
Today I finished L1D6!
I'm feeling pretty good. Yesterday I had muscles sore I didn't know existed.. like under the buttox area and under the boob area (excuse my bluntness) I am going to do each level 10 days. |
L1d6:)
|
L3D6 complete! I can already smell day 30, haha!
|
DVDs arrived today! Starting tomorrow, and I am literally terrified. So much so, I haven't even opened the Amazon box!! Still. Going to go for a shower, come back and watch L1 through to see what I need in terms of space. In 31 days, I'll be glad I started tomorrow (and kept going) ;)
|
L1D7! starting to get excited for L2 :) also excited that in the first week i've already lost an inch off my waist! it seems like i'm not shredding the lbs but i'm def shredding physically
|
L1D1 done!
I wish I lived on the ground floor, so I could do this before going to bed. I feel like I could sleep for a year!!! |
Hi all
I have got a bit of the exercise bug at the minute and want to give this DVD a go. Is it ok to do on top of other workouts I will be doing (I am currently following the fitness blender 8 week programme - which involves a rest day but obviously this doesn't happen with the 30 day shred) but will it still have the same effect of will I be over doing it? |
yesterday i needed an emotional rest day in which my mind told my body to rest so today was L1D8! glad i didn't rest today either!
and i read somewhere that jillian actually does recommend a rest day every 4-5 days |
I'm kinda thinking I may try this... I'm going to start the c25k next week. I also work with a personal trainer 2x a week for 30 min each, but I was thinking about adding something in that wasn't cardio. Since my back and stomach are my least fav parts of me and most people say that this really worked on their back I thought I might give it a try :)

I am still at work, dying to get home and do L1D2! I started on the same day as the shiv and at least we're in pain together! My chest was sore and my quads especially, from those damn lunges! I know i can go harder though- and tonight, I'm going to prove it to myself!
It's also so much easier, mentally, to me, than the last chance workout! That once took FOREVER! I look forward to this one! |
I had tried doing this a couple of months back, I only did L1D1 because the lunges and squats kicked my quad's butt! and I was in so much pain I couldn't even sit down on the toilet to go pee, or go up and down the stairs, or even WALK without being in pain for days after. Have any of you had that much pain from doing them? Did you just push past it and through it on day two?
Just curious. I'd love to try it again now that I can have some supporters here with me, but I'm not sure I will be able to, because I am going to be meeting with a personal trainer this weekend and I'm going to see what she is going to put together for me program wise, and work with that. But just curious about other peoples experiences. I'm not sure if it's just my body doesn't do well with squats or lunges, because even this past monday I did some squats and lunges with some friends from work in a work out and my legs are still sore today, (two days later) but not nearly like it was after L1D1 for me. :\ |
Can I jump into this thread late? Just finished L1D8. I was wondering if you all still move on to the next level even if you haven't quite mastered the previous one? I want to spend 10 days on each level, but I don't think I'll be perfect at Level 1 in the next two days (I still have to take quick breaks, mainly on the strengthening part of the circuit).
