  • Oh wow, time to start adding up stuff!
    Last Friday I did two hours in the pool, including an hour of water volleyball. Then Saturday and Sunday at least 1.5 hours total of walking at the arts festival. Yesterday an hour in the pool so I have 4.5 hours to add.

    that is 270 minutes or 27.0 miles


    Kenmore WA to Vancouver BC = 132 miles

    total 977+ 270 = 1247 minutes
    total miles 97.7 + 27.0 = 124.7
    7.3 miles to go

    So I am about halfway between Saanichton and Victoria.

  • Not sure why I have been saying Vancouver... it is Victoria BC I am going to! LOL and I just looked at the map again and it says 127 miles.... so I am THERE!!!

    Another 43 minutes in the pool

    4.3 miles


    Kenmore WA to Victoria BC = 127 miles

    total 1247 + 43 = 1290 minutes
    total miles = 129

    WOW
    Here I am!
    Now I have to decide whether to walk back home or take a walk around the island a bit.
  • Wow -- You are there Well done you! I am not going to get to gym this evening as I have a meeting and then choir but what I will have a go at doing is getting photos on. I have been a bit slack with that sorry.
    Thursday evening I am doing my first reward... and organising something for me second.
    If I was you I would fancy a bit of a walk around the island after making all the effort to get there

    Kenmore WA to Victoria BC = 127 miles

    total 1290 + 60 = 1350
    total miles = 135

    I am 8 miles past Victoria. I decided to walk up to the Pacific Rim National Park, which is 69 miles from Victoria (or 196 from Kenmore).

    I am almost to Langford... only about another mile. From there I will head on to Sooke, which will be another 15 miles.

    I did an hour last night and an hour this evening -- Will add this all up on the weekend and work out where I am... Photos to follow from me too
    The photos will be a job for the weekend.. as well as the adding up. I have had lots of reports to write up for work this week which has consumed a fair bit of my time.

    I googled where you were -- I looked up the Pacific Rim National Park. It sounds very interesting. There is a trail there for walking which sounds great. Coastal views etc

    I have done my first reward -- and have earned my second but haven't taken it yet. Thursday night here so a weekend coming up soon

    I didn't really plan this as a reward but I have been having a lot of back and shoulder aches so I splurged and bought TWO massagers. One is a pillow type and I love it but can't reach some places with it such as my upper arms, etc. So I got them both!!

    Looking forward to your progress report. Our planned trip to Victoria is postponed because of my friend's health issues but for now I guess I will keep walking around the island. Hopefully we can make it in October; not sure yet.

    Anyway I did two hours in the pool yesterday, which gives me another 12 miles.

    total 1350 + 120 = 1470
    total miles 135 + 12 = 147

    20 miles past Victoria. I must have calculated wrong before (not used to converting km to miles LOL) as it is 24 miles from Victoria to Sooke... so four more miles to go!

    I am having trouble finding free photos of this area... wish we could post links but that is not allowed here. Oh well...

    I have not been very well -- had a bit of a flu/ sleepy sort of thing that was going around my work. Also I have been struggling a bit with being motivated about dieting. Not good -- Maybe because I have been not well.
    Anyhow I did half an hour this morning --- One hour earlier in the week and and an hour last weekend. A bit of Maths to work out there. How are you going?
    I must get back to eating healthy food ... This virtual walk might get me back on track if I find some time to sit down and work it out. All the best to you.

    I have not done much this week either. Swam Tuesday evening and planning to do a lot this weekend.

    I have slacked off in my workouts this week but yesterday got in about 30 minutes of walking... LOL a lot of it walking up and down the street looking for my missing gas cap which I left on my car and drove off. Finally found a place to buy another one.

    Oh and today I did 50 minutes in the pool. So I have 80 minutes plus the 30 from Tues to add. Will come back later and calculate it. Total to add of 110 mins
