Hi Crystal

Wow, what an interesting and ambitious journey you are taking! And good idea to give yourself rewards along the way.

I did the pool tonight but plan to do some weight bands/balls a bit later too so will wait to add my mileage.

I can't wait to see your photos!!

Current location on the ferry from Anacortes, 24 miles from Anacortes, (18 more miles to landfall at Sidney)

It is 42 miles across the islands on the ferry from Anacortes WA to Sidney, BC, Canada

Hi Misti

I will have to print myself out a map of where you are -- to get a mental picture of your trip. Your photo is great ---- I love a good ferry trip and also snow coverered mountains and it has got them both.

I went for a walk with a friend tonight along the beach so have added 3 kms to my trip so I am only 0.9 kms from the first overnight hut " Waterfall Valley Hut" MY first reward coming up

You had a great day with exercise as you said... I am intending to get to the gym tomorrow so should reach my first goal

Happy Journey

Hi Crystal

So glad you are getting in some walking! Is this the hut you are talking about? Looks fun! There was another hut called the same thing but looked quite a bit different so I might not have the right photo.

Generally we can't post links here but I don't think there is an objection to Photobucket since it is a photo posting site we can use to add photos here. It is at

http://photobucket.com

You open an account and upload photos to a public album. If you get photos off of the web, make sure you get ones that are okay for public use, etc. - you can find them by googling. Then when you get the photo onto your site there, look on the right and it will show an IMG code. At the top of your message box at 3FC you can see the next to last icon on the right has a little picture on it. Click on that and paste the IMG code into it. Hope it works for you!!

Just did 40 minutes with weight bands/balls

Kenmore WA to Victoria BC = 132 miles

Note, not sure why I said Vancouver in previous posts... LOL it is Victoria I am going to)

total 937+ 40 = 977 minutes
total miles 93.7 + 4.0 = 97.7
34.3 miles to go

Current location on the ferry from Anacortes, 28 miles from Anacortes, (14 more miles to landfall at Sidney)

It is 42 miles across the islands on the ferry from Anacortes WA to Sidney, BC, Canada

From Sidney, the route is

Sidney
North Saanich (5.59 miles)
Saanichton (1.62 miles)
Victoria (13 miles)

Hi Misti

Yep -- That is definitely the hut... I am remembering how tired I was when I reached it on my real walk But it is a beautiful part of the world.

It is a bit late here now -- but tomorrow I will have a go at posting a few photos of things that I passed on the way between Cradle Mountain and the first overnight hut.

You are powering along on that ferry Well done so far

Hi Crystal. That hut definitely looks like it takes a bit of doing to get there... but what a neat place to stay!!

I've been traveling this weekend so am just going to post my time and figure things out later.

Thursday I did 15 mins of weight balls/band

Friday I did 90 minutes in the pool, including 45 minutes of playing water volleyball... what a workout LOL.

Hi Misti

Just added up -- Since my last posting I have exercised for three hours
180 minutes. Some of it was doing jog/walks on the treadmill and some of it was weights. That translates to another 9 kms. I have reached the first hut- Yippee and passed it well and truly.
I am 3.7 kims from the next hut... I have done a side trip to see the beautiful Lake Will and Innes Falls.
How are you going with your walk.. I still have not had a chance to investigate the photo thing yet.
Hopefully I can soon

Hi Misti

Just did an hour this morning -- walk/jog/ride
so that means I have done 3kms of my virtual walk -- I am only 0.7 kms from the next hut. Woo! Hoo!

Did another hour this morning -- Went for a jog/ walk on a "rail trail" in Gippsland ( country Victoria a couple of hours away from where I live )
When I get home I will add up where I am on the track but I have done another 5 kms so I am on the way to hut 3.
I have booked my first reward -- a facial at the Beauty place I go to.
Need to think about what my second one can be.
How are you going?

Hi Crystal

So glad to see you are still at it. Sorry I haven't been here this week! Was out of town and then got zapped by the heat. I have some time to add; will do that later today
