L3D25 done!

Good luck ladies :)

Happy Tuesday, ladies! I am having a hard time motivating myself to get up and out of bed this morning to get some exercise in. I've been SO sleepy lately & so unwilling to crawl out from under these cozy blankets.

Yesterday I had my boyfriend hide our bathroom scale somewhere in the apartment because I've been getting too unreasonably discouraged when it doesn't go down. It gives me a "well I might as well not even try today" attitude if I get on in the morning and the number's stayed the same or even gone up. I will have him return it only on weekends for the BL challenge weigh-in.

The local pizza place by our apartment has a deal called "Two for Tuesday" and the boyfriend really loves it there so we are having pizza tonight. Better make sure I am LOW on calories for the whole day to save room for it!

Angelsmom - 5 more days! What will you switch to once 30DS is over? Keep rocking it, girl. :)

Philly - So glad you were able to get lots of meal prep done. They sound really yummy, too. How's Body Pump going? I'm happy you've found such an encouraging FB group. Can't wait to hear how you'll kick butt on that program.

Exhale - haha I love thinking of you sitting with your pepper steak & watching the BL DVD. ;) Good to know you seem to like it from the previewing - the walking workout I use On Demand will be taken off this Friday & I will be in need of a new one. May check out the BL one if you think it's a keeper!

Okay, I am off to attempt to get my butt out of this bed. I don't know how successful I will be. Have wonderful days!

I forgot to check in last night, perhaps because last night's work out was a nightmare. Had to keep stopping either to catch my breath, my necklace was pulling on my ipod cord, knees hurt, had to pee, losing balance. Wasn't my most graceful performance.

May 1st!! Let's go! :carrot::carrot:

novangel 05-01-2012 10:29 PM

My knees were killing me last night so I did L1 tonight, still makes me sweat like crazy. :tired:

Tomorrow is supposed to be nice so maybe I can get outside for a long walk, I am so burned out on jumping around in my room.

Bye for now!

novangel 05-01-2012 11:10 PM

Took a shower and looked at myself naked in the mirror. *sigh* I should be excited about it being May 1st but I feel more like it's May 1st and I am still overweight/unhappy with my body. Granted it's better than it was and I can live with it like this but I want better.

This journey blows and it better pay off.

Exhale15 05-02-2012 08:15 AM

Good morning everyone...

This journey blows and it better pay off. Novangel, I LOVE this. It's like the best thing I've read in a long time.:coffee2: What a great 'signature' :) You are doing great, you know, despite what you think...

I'm not feeling so hot this morning, with creaky joints and my muscles hurt and I have a headache in my face. :( I had class this morning, but not up to it, so I'll take an evening yoga session instead. And aiming for a noon Zumba class, since I haven't tried that yet and I should be feeling better later this morning.

I can't believe I had such a back-slide the past couple of weeks food-wise - taught me that no matter what kind of 'program' I start, it really all lies with me and my motivation. I was so close to losing another 5 and now I'm back to the starting point. But the exercise has been going great now that I decided to do what makes me happy. Had a pilates class yesterday and that went well. The best part of it was that some reformer exercises that I thought were scary because they require upper body strength are OK now. That's huge for me. What I see happening with the pilates and, especially yoga is that I'll make my food choices with my practices in mind because I want to keep improving and can't do that if I'm eating the wrong stuff.

Have a great day everyone.

Done!

I see you've lost 15p already since March, that's great! How many calories do you eat a day on average?

Angelsmom 05-02-2012 04:43 PM

Ak- I might start JM body revolution, not sure yet. I wish I could resist not weighing myself everyday but it's too difficult for me.

L3D26 done! Everyone is doing such a great job. Stay strong ladies and get the best results for may! :carrot:

Good luck :)

Beautiful!
To clarify, the 15p were lost before I joined 3FC, over the course of a couple of months; then when I started focusing on walking more and going to the gym a couple of times a week I probably sealed the deal of keeping those off. I don't know how many calories I eat on average; what I do when I'm doing well is focus on eating produce and cutting out the junk, and then I'm moving in the right direction.

Took my first Zumba class today and it was a blast! Basically went because I have classes left on my card, and they offer lots of Zumba classes and I figured I'd give it a try. Didn't even bring water or a towel with me because I expected to leave early. At one point I checked my watch and we were 15 minutes into the class and I did freak a bit because I was winded and thought 'uh oh', but then I got a grip, made smaller arm movements, and just enjoyed the music and jumping around. I was able to follow some of the routines, and for others I just winged it ;) (I may have done the Snoopy 'happy dance' a couple of times, I don't remember...) By the time we were done I was sweaty, refreshed, and looking forward to next time - With water and towel!

I think I found my cardio.... :carrot:

novangel 05-02-2012 09:16 PM

I lost majority of my weight before joining 3FC also due to a period of very high stress. I have been hanging on to this last 15 (or so) pounds the last 5 years.

I did level 3 tonight for the first time. What. The. Eff. :tired:

Angelsmom 05-03-2012 06:29 AM

Exhale- you're doing great, keep it up!
Novangel- that's exactly what I thought the first time I did it, hang in there it'll get easier ( a bit)

L3D27 done! 3 days left and I'll post results, which I think is not much :D

Exhale15 05-03-2012 01:18 PM

Hi guys :)

Novangel - those pounds do like to hang around. But that's OK, 'cause once they're gone they are not coming back.
Angelsmom - thanks for the encouragement :)

Home today with a stomach bug. Need to go out to pick up some things from the store but waiting for things to um...settle.

On a forward note, found a studio within walking distance of home where they have Zumba classes. While I love where I'm going now, it is a trek; having a place in the neighborhood would be great. They have a Zumba introduction class, which is interesting as well as deals for new students and a May special...

I was thinking that it will be interesting to see where we'll be at the end of this month, by the summer, etc.

Keep up the good work everyone....

PhillyGirl2012 05-03-2012 04:06 PM

You ladies make me laugh!

Gabi, level 3 was...what? So which level do you prefer? I whisper again...body revolution...lol

angelsmom, its been 30 days already? wow how time flies! and in that time I've stopped and started two different programs...lol

exhale, zumba! you go girl! I've only done it at home. I didn't care for the workout dvd, but the newest xbox 360 game is awesome! It's nice to have options. Although, having options tends to get me into trouble. OMG...I was home yesterday with that. Well Tuesday I took off for R&R and Wednesday was awaken at 3am with the stomach monster. It wasn't pretty.

ak812, body pump is crazy in a different way. Using the barbell is odd, but it makes me feel like a badd (yes I meant the two 'd's') ***. I really do feel pumped when I'm doing it. I turn up the tv kinda loud too cause the music is good and the vibe of the instructors are awesome. Of course they are crazy fit too.

I've been having bad sinus stuff this week. The weather is doing the up and down thing which apparently throws my body off. I'm tired of popping pills though for temporary relief. I'm glad I had food at the ready because I just would have snacked myself into oblivion not wanting to put any energy into my meals. Heck, I barely wanted to clean up the kitchen. I'm going to do turbofire low impact hit 20 when I get home from work. I made it a mp4 last night and watched a little of it.

I hope everyone is having a great day!

novangel 05-03-2012 07:44 PM

I like the whole DVD I just find level 2 to be somewhat annoying for some reason.

My back, butt and thighs are sore today. I haven't felt sore in a while so I know level 3 is working better than 2.

Onward....
