I had to look back on our old thread because I forgot when I officially started Jillian. Feb 15th....so not as long as it seems. Feels like forever already but I think I have made some decent progress for a little over 2 months. Can't really complain but I am still impatient. :p

hello ladies,

ak- everyone messes up im sure, yesterday i ate about 1900 cal :D but everyday is a new day, stay strong!
novangel- honestly your abs look great! have patience :) have you lost any weight yet? inches lost? id love to know, it will give me something to look for at the end of shred.
exhale- i really hate laundry :lol: you can do it, stay healthy!
philly- i would love a 3 day off from house work, really need a vacation :tired:

So i was really busy yesterday and couldnt check in, but i did L2D21 and my knees are popping! had this happened to anyone ? maybe i need a break from exercising :?: ... Well i dropped another pound so im hapy for that!

Angel, OMG I lost massive inches. I wish I still had a pic from Jan early Feb to give you a better idea..The one I have posted was already several weeks into Jillian. I'm so pissed I erased my official "start" photo by accident. I don't think I will ever get over it. :lol:

As far as pounds lost I have to get on the scale again in a few days. My weight was all over the place but I have only gotten smaller in size since the beginning so I guess that's all that matters.

Off to do Jillian L2 again in a few. Have a nice night, everyone.

Novangel- I'm so happy for you! I hope I'll have good results too. I did notice my pants getting looser than before the shred, so maybe I'm loosing some inches too ( fingers crossed) I only have 9 days left.

I won't be doing 30D shred today, I'm sooo busy and I'm really upset cuz I can't get the exercise in. I guess it will be good for my knees to take a break.

Good morning all :coffee2: You ladies are doing Great! I haven't had the knee popping issue...mine tend to just whine every now and then :lol:

Feeling optimistic about my success today.

I've started a 30-day yoga challenge. I got an unlimited class card at a studio that, although not in my neighborhood is very easy to get to and has a great calming vibe. It's not exhausting enough to screw up my Pilates classes, and NOTHING says cut out the junk food better than having your bellyjelly staring at you during shoulder stand. Had a very nice class last night.

I guess I shouldn't be so excited especially since I was off for 3 days...lol

Exhale, that shoulder stand belly remark was too funny. Do you check out livingsocial and groupon for deals in your area? I bought three different ones...one is 10 boxing classes (a real one complete with a ring)..one is a rowing studio...and one if 90 days to a gym. The deal was for less than individual classes.

angelsmom, I wouldn't sweat it too much. You've been doing good and yes your knees probably welcome the break.

ak, temptation is everywhere! resist those treats and keep your eye on the prize.

novangel, I didn't know you were in the market. If you want a deal check out Kohl's. I bought 4 sports bras. You did better this go around with tom....yay!

I've been hanging out on facebook on the Les Mills exercise thread. They are super encouraging...I love it! I never really used the facebook app on my phone, but I do now. People were posting and all pumped up this morning that it encouraged me to get my butt out of bed and get my workout in. I'm very proud of myself for tackling that little demon.

Jillian's workouts are on sale on amazon if you are wanting to try her other stuff. I'm not sure about other workouts.

Hey Philly, thanks for the suggestion. This deal I got directly from the studio...they do nice things like that from time to time. But I will check out the sources you mentioned, because you've got some fun stuff in the works.

Can't believe my new goal is to look good upside-down! (There's always something...) :)

Happy weekend to you ladies!! Made it through another week, on plan and going strong. Although sadly, I think I may be coming down with the stomach bug that had my co-teacher out for 3 days this week. Came home from work early today feeling very nauseous and just blah. Hoping that an early bedtime tonight and lots of downtime this weekend will knock it out of my system. I plan to spend much of this weekend applying to jobs in actual public schools (my current Pre-K class is in a childcare center) for the fall. I got my teaching credential in college & really want to be working in the exact field I spent all that time (and money!) preparing for. I just hate the application process, though - so many things to fill out!

Exhale - That "food monster" is a sneaky little devil, I have to agree. Especially (at least for me) once I've had one treat/off plan snack, I find it really hard to stop myself. The "simply filling" method sounds like a great way to encourage yourself to eat a better diet in general, and you won't have to worry too much about being hungry - just fill up on those whole, natural foods! Have fun with your yoga challenge - I'm very much looking forward to hearing how it goes for you.

PhillyGirl - Thanks for the heads up on JM's workouts being on sale. I ordered 30DS and Ripped In 30 and they should be here by Tuesday. To be honest, I'm really apprehensive about starting 30DS, because I know how frustrated I get when not able to complete a workout. And from what I hear, 30DS can be INTENSE. We'll see how it goes! btw, Good for you for getting up and doing the Body Pump workout. Don't you love how motivating social networking can be? Enjoy those kale chips this weekend ... I've never heard of them! Can't wait to hear how they turned out. :)

novangel - You've made such awesome progress! Those before and after pics are extremely inspiring - definitely one of the reasons I plan on getting my butt into gear to do 30DS. I know it's hard to be patient regarding seeing results, but you will get to your ultimate goal! Hang in there.

Angelsmom - Hope those knees aren't giving you too much trouble! A break for them was probably a good idea. And another pound lost?! You're on a roll, sister. ;) Keep it up!

I wound up getting pissy about something last night so I didn't work out but I got L2 done tonight and will try for tomorrow night too. Usually Sat is my night off but I already skipped 2 days this week (once because of TOM) and that doesn't sit well with me. I'm too paranoid when I don't work out...I swear I will gain 5 pounds overnight even though I know rationally that won't happen. I just don't want to fall off the wagon, I have come too far and there is no going back . ;)

Ak, I hope your aren't getting sick. Maybe just see how you feel tomorrow. If need be then I say totally rest and relax with lots of clear liquids. I'm glad you got some good sale stuff. Oh I hear ripped in 30 is harder than 30day shred.

Novangel, I hope they are good quality. They are brand named so I hope so.

No kale chips. I didn't pick any up at the market. I am going to make my own protein bars though. Anybody ever make them from scratch?

Feeling bloated and totally revved to clean up my act. Recommitment weekend, it is. Yoga, a pot of veggie soup, sauteed mushrooms and maybe some baked chicken. I will feel so much better come Monday morning!
