Angie and I took the mutts to Starbucks this morning...a bit chilly for a while then the sun came out...a nice way to start the day.

Since Jan 1st...I walked 93 KM....I think that makes 55.8 miles.
I can hardly beleive it myself...since I was a couch potato!!! I AM VERY PROUD OF MY ACCOMPLISHMENTS, YAYYY FOR ME !!! and I feel so good!!!:D |

I am not sure if 1000 miles is possible, but I will at least have a goal. I walked 2.5 miles yesterday but only managed .5 today. My golden was...ahem....not on his best behavior today. Not a nice walk...he wanted to pull me:( Also, I am a little under the weather today, so perhaps it is best I didn't walk too much. |

Not a big deal if we don't reach goal! However, we need to set "reachable" goals to go for... this is "reachable"...but for many of us life gets in the way of even 3.2 miles a day... it's a journey for sure...if at the end of the year all you were able to get in was...let's say 500...well...500 is more than I was doing in a year...maybe you too! Walk on! |

In a summer time I go 4.5 miles per day. Now we have so much snow and I cry after 3 mile hike through it. Literally I walk through 6 to 10 inches of snow. I am drenched.
I am losing 2.5 pounds per week :) |
Late in joining in, but this is my type of goal!
I've been walking with Walk it out in the comfort of my home and just found out we're getting a treadmill for free from a friend (and yes it works fine). I'm not behind though, I think. or maybe just a little. So far this year I'm at: 86.5/1000 |

January has me at 105 running miles for the month. A little below what I wanted, but I did not run for the first 6 days of the month.

Okay...this is day four for me and I am making a decision not to walk. I got very, very little sleep last night and I still have tons of work to do tonight. So, I am still at 3.5/1000. This may sound so lame, but I am just happy that I THOUGHT about walking today since I am BEYOND TIRED:)

I'm late to the party, but I have a huge goal of going from being completely sedentary to walking every day. I know that walking is easy... and I know that walking is amazingly good for me. So I started out slow, and worked my way up. I gave myself a goal of 31 miles in January. My actual January miles was 42! My goal for February is 56 miles. I'm 11 miles in as of yesterday, and plan to get in at least 2 more today. I joined a challenge in the 100+ club to try and get a minimum of 365 miles this year - a mile a day is a pretty decent goal for someone who hasn't done anything for years.
But I think if I keep this pace up, I will totally be able to set and keep a goal of 1,000 this year! So I'm in! My total so far is: 53/1,000 |

10+ mile run yesterday (stupid huge puddles from all our snow melting meant I had wet feet for most of the run) brings me to 137 total. I'm dragging a friend out for a run later today, so that will be another 3-5 depending on how my legs feel once I get started.

Alright, I'm just updating my total instead of listing by day for the last six weeks. All of my miles have been on stationary bike, running on the treadmill or at the park & the elliptical trainer.
