Default Staying Active During the Winter

I have a pedometer, and I try to get in 5000 steps every day BEYOND my normal workout. During warmer weather, I dropped under that maybe twice a week, and the number of steps I got in on other days more than made up for it. Now on most days I'm lucky if I get 2500 steps in. I'm inside all day, and it's just to cold to get up and do much. I'm a serious couch potato.

My house is small so pacing gets old really fast. I try to get up every so often and make a cup of tea, but the kitchen is close and it doesn't really seem to help my step count.

Anyone else have this problem?

Do you not own winter clothes?

It was 22* degrees here this morning. I bundled up and went on my 40 minute walk. And gave big hellos to the few fellow die-hard walkers that I saw.

My motto: there's no bad weather, only bad clothing.

i tend to act like an old lady (i'm only 24) and walk around the mall. Just don't bring money with you so you don't go nuts at the foodcourt and undo the hard work.
