I LOVE Zumba. I was hooked on it for a long time...and I've never felt that way about ANY exercise! I used to Zumba 5 to 6 days per week for between 30 and 60 minutes per day. To me, it was the most fun a person can have with their clothes on!

I hurt my back a few months ago and had to take 3 months off Zumba (and most other exercise), and have just been released to go back to Zumba Gold (less intensity). I tried it last night, and after 30 minutes, my spirit was soaring again...but my back was complaining loudly - still is today. So I'm going to have to work back into it very slowly.

I'm hoping to work up to Zumba Gold a couple times a week. We'll see.

I would HIGHLY recommend it to all newbies who enjoy dancing. Doesn't matter how uncoordinated you think you are...everyone is at the beginning. Just keep moving, be patient with yourself and have fun!

Enjoy!!!

I just joined a gym and they offer Zumba. Last night I went to the gym and there was actually a line out the door for people waiting for this class. I got on a treadmill facing the room and watched. There were so many people in that group fitness room! It was packed like a can of sardines in there! I just watched and it looked fun but I am a terrible dancer. There is another class tonight at 6:30. I might give it a whirl. I just don't want to look like a dork. Lol!

I looked into it, but couldn't afford the classes so I got the dvds. I like them a lot. I just started exercising again recently and I haven't added them in yet, but I need to. It's a good sweaty workout. I feel much more comfortable dancing around my living room then I would in a class. =)

I absolutely ADORE Zumba! I take it at the Y, and even though I'd already been going there for a year, treadmill, circuit training, swimming, I swear to you Zumba made my middle noticeably flatter and smaller! We had a professional dancer as the teacher but yesterday for the first time we had a young Hispanic male, he was the best teacher I have ever had! We danced hip hop for the entire hour without stopping and it was so much fun! It was like I was young again and back in the clubs LOL. You should all give it a try, you won't feel like you are exercising cause the music and energy makes you forget that part, you're just dancing.
